Madrid or Juventus for him next season. Well maybe he is by far our best player after all ? I don't see top clubs looking after Lindelof and Shaw for example ;)

Would I be right in thinking that many people see Douglas Costa as someone that is just a speedster but not enough end product, sort of like Traore at Wolves or have I got that completely wrong.

Personally think if Pogba was to go we definitely would need to sign 3 midfielders (DM & 2xCM)
Costa is definitely better than Traore but yeah I wouldn't label him as one of the top wingers in the world. Would rather wait a year for Sancho and play a different system this year.

Cancelo and 80 million or no deal. If we sell Pogba we need to buy a replacement that will at least cost us 70 million if we want a top player.

With the money we’d get for Pogba we could easily sign Eriksen from Spurs, Rice from West Ham and Rabiot from PSG then STILL have money leftover. We could probably get Cancelo thrown in from Juve in a Pogba deal and still sign all three of the midfielders I mentioned without spending much if anything at all.

If Juventus are interested in Pogba, and want to include players in the deal...United should ask for Pjanic+Cancelo+Sandro for Pogba.

Going back to Juve would be such a weird choice. Obviously a big club, and he'd win plenty, but he's won it all there minus the CL. Still think when he leaves it'll be to Real. Although I'd rather see him go back to Juve if he was to leave, which I still doubt he will this summer.

How much do you think we can get for Pogba??

At a Minimum
Eriksen will cost 50 mil
Rice will cost 60 mil
Cancelo will cost 50mil

I'd take Eriksen for Rice in a heartbeat but doubt we'd have any change.

Its worth doing though, i'd be massively in favour if that was realistic

If we sell Pogba and don't manage to replace him with some serious talent, next season is going to be a fecking disaster.

I seriously doubt Juve can afford Pogba right now, I feel they're just testing the waters with the press leaks.

If Pogba has told the club he wants to leave - then let him go. I love him as a player but we need commitment now more than ever.

I don't believe all the press BS about him though, but we shall see.

Was he a coward when he left Juve for 5th place United? Think before you type. You say this about Pobga but probably want Dybala to replace him. Have you seen more than 10 second snippets of him?
Well, I don’t want Dybala to replace him so what are you on about?

It's amazing that you regurgitate garbo talking points. He's played for Allegri, Conte and Deschamps. Based on your Cameronesque Pogba DNA profile, he clearly should never have been playing for those strong personality managers, because his liabilities so far outweigh anything he can offer in 90 mins of football.
Honestly mate you can regurgitate that yourself to all and sundry but the fact is he plays shite for Man United on a regular basis. I know we’re supposed to offer more on this forum and have a proper discussion but that’s the facts. It’s impossible to work out why given the very valid points you’ve made, but the reality is Pogba just hasn’t lived up to expectations.

This Pogba story is the last thing we could do with right now. If he does go we’ve got a serious mountain to climb to be anywhere near competitive for top 4. I agree he plays in fits and starts for us, but on a going day he’s the best we’ve got. Just 26 days to go to pre-season and the general consensus seems to be that we want:

A completely new midfield 3 (if he goes)
RB
CB
RW
ST (if Lukaku goes)

That’s 7 players, not withstanding what happens if de Gea also goes. Just can’t see us doing that amount of business in the time available.

I am tired of this saga about Pogba. Flirting with Madrid, Juventus. If he wants to go, just sell him and be done with it, if he is actually going then bring in his replacements and sell him.
If United cannot Hold itself as a club or maintain it's standard just because Pogba is sold, then we have no right to call ourselves Power house of Europe.

I'm open to the idea of Pogba leaving. For how good he can be, he doesn't do it consistently enough.
The three players I'd be interested in from Juve are Dybala, Cancelo and Bentacur.

Last year Dybala is a bit worrisome, but I have to put that down to style of play, Ronaldo and playing position.
Hypothetically, if both are interested and we could do a swap with Dybala and Cancelo I'd be all for it.

Dybala + Cancelo + cash

I think we could rebuild the midfield to be more fluid and quicker without Pogba much in the same way that the attack became more fluid when Ruud was moved on

Been saying the same for a year plus, so many United fans want our most talented outfield player gone yet he is literally the least of our worries.

Notice how there is no clamour from ANY clubs to sign the likes of:

Smalling
Jones
Rojo
Lingard
Mata
Young
Matic

Yet we have fans in the stands hounding Pogba out of the club. I look forward to seeing him help Real Madrid or Juventus prevent City or Liverpool from CL glory next season.

If I was Pogba I'd leave. Top reds have it out for him and give the championship players in our squad a free ride. Pundits like Neville are responsible for this type of narrative too.

How do you know?
It's an easy story to push. Pogba is a big name that sells. Whether it's clicks or newspapers. Pogba is an easy target as we as a club aren't performing.
Pogba can be world class when he wants to be. Whether he lacks consistency or isn't feeling it at United, due to the lack of quality around him, it doesn't change the fact, that for the price we paid and what we expected to get from him, he hasn't been money well spent so far.

I do believe there is a quality player in there, but there was also a quality player in Nani, you just didn't always know which version would turn up

He's worth far more than that fraud Coutinho who went for €120m and in any case we shouldn't even be entertaining the idea of selling him given he's the only source of creativity and quality outfield player we have.

207 people who voted yes are off their head.

No way Ronaldo and Pogba are compatible in the same team. One misjudged pass from Pogba and Ronaldo is waving his arms around like a kid therefore Pogba goes into a sulk For the rest of the game.

Two huge egos I just cannot see it working even though they are both amazing.
Is this you?

We're not selling Pogba this summer.

Unless he throws the tantrum of all tantrums and goes to extreme lengths to force his way out, which Is extremely unlikely, there is no way we'll accept him being sold this summer.

Next summer he's off, no doubt about it.

Agreed. Unless we improve dramatically (finish third or something) there's no way he's extending his contract and next year he'll have two years left so we're likely to sell.

We could win the league and CL next season and he'd still be on his way to Madrid, has little to do with the team he's currently at and performances.

Why are so many convinced he wants to leave? Did he say something i missed or is it just some inferiority complex?

He made comments about wanting to play for Real when on international duty in March and at the same time Zidane was not exactly subtle about saying he wanted him. Put that together with the fact that Raiola loves moving his clients every 3 years or so to generate big fees for himself and lots of media hype and it is just starting to look inevitable.

I've read and heard endless stick for Lingard, Jones, Young and others like Matic.

Found the interview. Oles comments ring true for me though:
“It’s a different environment, it’s more of a general talk and Paul is a very nice and polite man who answered a general question.

“Zidane is an icon in France, Zidane is a fantastic manager, he used to be a fantastic player – I played against him myself – and Paul has just politely answered that question.

“Paul’s happy here and he’s going to be a big, big part. I’ve always said that you’d like to build your team around him and that hasn’t changed at all.”

This all seems very bizarre to me because some people are talking as if the situation was like Ronaldo or Hazard where every other interview they would talk of Madrid. He had his most effective season of his career while the team was not so good to put it kindly.

I wonder if the anti United media and their bs has gotten to some people and they started believing the hole "bad attitude" nonsense. There has only been one person that trained Pogba that had negative thoughts about him, and that person is known to be one of the worst sore losers ever.

Bottom line is that any move is more likely to be Raiola instigating than Paul because as Ole says, Paul is not the sort to throw a tantrum and demand a move and I do think he has a genuine affection for Solskjaer and the club. I am open to both outcomes, clearly Pogba is a great player but he was badly wasted in a team that did not know how to use him and so if he is staying I would like to see the team set up to get the best from him because if we are not going to do that then we might as well cash in.

I have advocated for AWB and either de Ligt or another top CB as our priority signings this summer and that is in large part due to the fact that we need to get over the notion that Pogba is there to provide defensive cover. I genuinely think a lot of his indecision on the ball this year came from the fear that if he tried something and it didn't come off he knew our defence couldn't bail him out. If we want to keep him and make him the focal point of our team we need to give him that security to play and express himself and stop expecting him to do 3 different jobs.

Pogba - don't care how good he is - get rid.

Do we want to build a team around a player who is brilliant one minute and nowhere the next? His form reflect our overall performances over the last few seasons.....shows promise and flashes of brilliance only to disappoint........always some kind of headline side show etc....just get rid, take the cash and invest on someone who is less of a bell***.

If Pogba goes back to Juventus it will be the case of everyone being taken for a ride by a fat cnut.
When I say everyone I mean 2 clubs, the player and also the fans.
No wonder certain clubs are avoiding doing business with him...

Just feel like going back to Juve is a poor career move. Take a pay cut and go to Madrid or Barca, lad.

I think we're not gonna sell him unless he hands in a transfer request and throws a tantrum in the media. It's a question of perceived prestige for Woodie. If Pogba leaves, he needs to bring another top 10 pr footballer. Those don't get sold so easily and he probably knows he cannot identify an up and comer himself.
