That's all you need.Well, at least we still have Lukaku
That's all you need.Well, at least we still have Lukaku
He scored 10 in Europa League as well, not shabby at all.17 goals are not too many, are they?
Eintracht usually played a 3-5-2 with two of Haller, Jović & Rebić up front and the third either on the bench or in behind the front two (mostly Rebić).Wasn't Haller their out and out striker?
We have 6 players for the 3 forward positions as it is. We have to cull lukaku and Mata /Sanchez or both before bringing In a striker and winger. Shouldn't make the same mistake we did at the back where we had 5 first team fullbacks and 5 cb's.We can't buy a striker until we are able to find a buyer for Lukaku. Not sure what the meltdown is all about
That Haller guy has got some impressive stats, too, and he's only 24. Is he being rumored anywhere?Stats
Jović 27 goals/7 assists in 48 games
Haller 20 goals/12 assists in 41 games
Rebić 10 goals/6 assists in 38 games
I was really impressed by his finishing. A clinical striker would come in useful here considering we create probably 3 chances a game. It just heaps more pressure on Lukaku when he inevitably blazes it wide, because you know another chance won’t be along for half an hour.Anyone who says the number of goals he scored in the league seems a bit low, check out the type of goals he's scoring. Incredible striker in the making, imo.
The guy will at the very least become a Dzeko level CF imo, but he seems nailed on to go further than that.
I don’t know if the English tabloids are ready for Icardi and his mrs/agent. Great out and out striker though.Well feck. I was hoping we’d nab him.
That probably just leaves Icardi as our only realistic option if we want to upgrade Lukaku.
I even love the Rodrygo signing, I think he'll be a really good player. So far incoming are Rodrygo, Militao, Jovic, Mendy and if you add Hazard to add well that's a pretty solid transfer window.Madrid after a shite season showing United how to rebuild, we still preparing bids and deciding wether we need to appoint a dof or not..
Jovic and Mendy with Hazard to follow shortly, great start to their window.
LB from Lyon.Cannot keep up with all the Mendys, which one is it now ?
Giroud scored 11 Europa League goals. The competition is pretty weak.He scored 10 in Europa League as well, not shabby at all.
I think we'll be seeing both him and Karim in the same lineup frequently, with him playing the poacher role -basically a Cristiano-lite - and Karim playing as a second striker.
I don’t get how can you be so definite in your post. I think he has a very high floor for a young #9. Sure, Real might be too big for him, but no one knows that as of now.He will be a flop.
Just because Real Madrid buys a player, that doesn't mean he is good.
I can't see him being in Madrid in three years.
60m euros is cheap?I lied. I can’t move on.
How in the blue hell did they get him so cheap? So annoying.
For the best young CF prospect in Europe in this market ? Yes. Very.60m euros is cheap?
Already signed militao too.Madrid after a shite season showing United how to rebuild, we still preparing bids and deciding wether we need to appoint a dof or not..
Jovic and Mendy with Hazard to follow shortly, great start to their window.
I just want him to put the ball in the net and nothing too fancy aside from that. Last season I wanted the team to get Werner as he seemed a good prospect and what a modern striker should be. I'm not seen much of this Jovic guy but some people are claiming his better than Werner but as long as he's a good finisher he should fit in the club with the likes of Hazard also joining. Perhaps the must challenging part about joining Real Madrid would be the mental aspect and how he handles the pressure, expectations, etc.I think he will be an excellent striker for an Everton/Leverkusen/Fiorentina type club. Maybe Atletico Madrid and Roma. However, Real, I just can't see it.
Its simple to look only at goals scored number but Jovic's goals in the Europa League were against Marsielle (3), Lazio, Shaktar Donestk, Inter Milan, Benfica and Chelsea (2). Those are some quality sides out of whom Inter (4th in Serie A), Benfica (Portugese league winners), Doneskt and Chelsea (4th in greatestestetst league in the world) will be playing in the UCL next season while Marseille and Lazio aren't exactly poor sides; both have done decently in their leagues this season.Giroud scored 11 Europa League goals. The competition is pretty weak.
I'm not saying he isn't an impressive young striker (probably the best out and out young one around, due to a lack of competition) but 60 odd mill sounds about right for the potential he's shown so far. I don't think Madrid have struck a bargain or anything.
Seems like his multiple goal hauls makes his tally more impressive than it should be. If he only scored in 9 budesliga games, then I'd like to know what he has doing in the other 23 games he played.I think one of the biggest questions is whether or not he can score against top notch competition.
The EuroLeague games seem to indicate that that's the case since he scored against Marseille (3x), Chelsea (2x), Lazio, Benfica, Donezk and Inter.
But if you look at his Bundesliga goals, it's a lot less flattering:
1 goal against Dortmund (2nd)
1 goal against Wolfsburg (6th)
1 goal against Hoffenheim (9th)
5 goals against Düsseldorf (10th, 17th when that game took place)
2 goals against Mainz (12th)
1 goal against Freiburg (13th)
3 goals against Schalke (14th)
1 goal against Stuttgart (16th)
2 goals against Hannover (17th)
Not wrong, but I think some perspective is needed.Seems like his multiple goal hauls makes his tally more impressive than it should be. If he only scored in 9 budesliga games, then I'd like to know what he has doing in the other 23 games he played.
I'm not sure if the bolded part was intended as a joke, but he will never be the next Messi or Ronaldo. The others are also very random examples of extreme characters or circumstances. I'd bet my house that he will never be the next Cassano or Balotelli either, because he has not shown any of their peculiar character quirks so far at all.Very talented player in fact at 21 years old.
He can be a next Messi or Ronaldo, also can be next Adriano Denilson, Cassano, Adam Johnson or Balotelli.
Living style and attitude determine his future. I am not sure will Zidane good enough to bring out his best, but I am sure if he is under Mourinho, his talent will be limited like Martial.
Frankfurt had quite a tough run in the EL with Chelsea, Benfica, Inter, Lazio, Donezk and Marseille, against whom he all scored.Giroud scored 11 Europa League goals. The competition is pretty weak.

It's an impressive run in a tournament and he clearly has ability, but one good season in the Europa League coupled with 17 league goals is hardly something unheard of for a young striker. He's had a great season and off the back of that about 60 mill ish seems fair, I was just surprised by people saying Madrid had robbed them/got an absolute bargain, it seems a very reasonable price for both parties. Its simple to look only at goals scored number but Jovic's goals in the Europa League were against Marsielle (3), Lazio, Shaktar Donestk, Inter Milan, Benfica and Chelsea (2). Compare that to Giroud's goals against BATE Borisov, PAOK, Vidi, Malmo, Dynamo Kiev, Slavia Prague and Arsenal. So, yea, you can't even compare Giroud's goals with Jovic's.
If you have seen enough of Jovic, you can see immediately that he is a class striker and has all the attributes to be one of the best in the world. Good with both feet, a very good header of the ball and can also hold the ball with his strong physique and technical ability. He can also switch to the wing and play incisive passes, lets see who Madrid pair him up with.
