I love this. This is the right way forward.

I think our club is doing things the right way now.

I think this deserves its own thread. We might see a very different United in the years to come, even this coming season.

If the plan is to do everything to make this club to place to be for the next Ronaldo, Rooney and co. then yes, I'm all for it. Market it, sell it to players/agents etc, moving forward let's ensure that the likes of Sancho consider no-one else.

That was also on our shirts in the past? Pretty sure the first kit with Chevrolet got that thing on the inside at the back

Words are cheap, as they say.

But if there's a genuine will to embrace, and make good on, the sort of "philosophy" suggested by those words, I'm all for it.

United and youth go way back. Bring in the talents (from kids to up-and-coming world beaters), don't target established stars. Sure, yeah - I love it. But do it, don't talk about it.

This new idea of youth just means we'll spend less money. Woodward's wet dream. We'll keep finishing 4-7 and every season we'll have something that will make fans say "next year is our year". Profits will remain stable.

Nice slogan & I’m sure has good sentiment behind it.

But to be a truly top team you need a mixture of youth & experience to win the very top honours in the game.

Honestly, if we still follow that policy in 2016 to present, how many have we missed out on a player, Sane for an example?

Woodward isnt Gazidis or whoever runs Arsenal these days. If he was a penny pincher he woulnd't have been looking for marquee signings the past couple of years and spending recklessly both on fees and wages.

Yeh hope this isn’t the plan. Satisfy the fans by just buying cheap youth (At least it isn’t Sanchez type players!) & going nowhere as we slowly become more & more irrelevant- We need good signings like this but also proven ones that a club of our size deserves

Just another marketing slogan. That anyone would lap this up is saddening.

Rooney and ronaldo didn't come here because we had a team full of youngster and paid peanuts

That was in 2015. Dalot is only U21 players we brought under Jose.
Sorry i meant the fact we were already invested in depay was why i thought we missed out on Sane. but i agree, jose prefers instant success.

Bet Woodward will rope in a sponsor for the slogan too. "Youth, Courage, Success - sponsored by Manchester United's official partner for gold toilet seats - every home needs one".

I'd settle for middle aged, scaredy success to be honest.

And invested in Martial too, he cost 60m euro at that time which is a lot for his age in 2015 market, he was the most expensive teenager player ever before Mbappe and Dembele.

I think we would be interested in Sane even if we have Martial and Depay already. if Jose didn't obsessed with Perisic, we go for young attack player, Sane would be likely to be the one we would show interests in. Sane is left-footed and could play on the right wing, he's also hard working off balls.

If we are going after the genuine world class young players (the likes of Monaco's Mbappe, De Ligt, Sancho) then this will in time take us back to the top of the game. If we're just going after kids with loads of potential but ultimatetely are a bit of a punt (the likes of Powell, James etc) we're going to crash and burn! Interesting times ahead!

Anyone who is cynical about this can just piss off, frankly. It's what the club has been about before any one of us on Redcafe was born.
