If the plan is to do everything to make this club to place to be for the next Ronaldo, Rooney and co. then yes, I'm all for it. Market it, sell it to players/agents etc, moving forward let's ensure that the likes of Sancho consider no-one else.
We literally had Ronaldo and Rooney without needing to market ourselves as the new Borussia Dortmund.

Calm your tits man, we've barely signed one player. Maybe the next 3 will be 35 year olds and you'll regret your post. Life can suck.

Redcafe - "what do our scouts even do?"

United - "here's a young, highly-touted player for peanuts"

Redcafe - "not a big enough name mate, too young mate, unproven mate, Championship player mate"

United - "OK.....who do you suggest?"

Redcafe - Carlos Kickaballos mate, 18yo, plays for Huracan mate, watched him on Channel 5 Argentinian 2nd division highlights show when I got in from the pub last week....mint mate, top player mate, world-class talent mate

Please stop the pessimism !!! Wait at least till August!
Not that I'm indulging, but nah. People have a right to be pessimistic. They can see similarities between this summer and summers gone already. A lot of talk, a lot of media leaks to appease fans. £20m on Dalot last year, £20m on James this year.

This current board and set up hasn't earnt the benefit of the doubt from fans yet I'm afraid. We've been too patient with them as it is

I love this. This is the right way forward.

I think our club is doing things the right way now.

I think this deserves its own thread. We might see a very different United in the years to come, even this coming season.
Surely Talent leads to success as well.

Down south...somewhere
the you can't win anything with kids was a fluke and it was also backed up with experienced seniors players like Bruce / Schmeichel / Irwin / Pallister etc who are club legends. Plus those "kids" were united through and through who loved the club and grew up in the United way.

We're buying young kids yes, but they aren't United through and through and the senior players they need to pull them through in tough situations are Jones / Smalling / half-show Pogba and Young etc...none will be United legends and look like bottlers half the time.

Love the idea, need to get winning senior players in too though IMO as well as hungry young kids

Let's sign Courage Pekerson and Isaac Success and we got the trio. With Young and Lingard around forever we have the youth part covered :).

That was also on our shirts in the past? Pretty sure the first kit with Chevrolet got that thing on the inside at the back
My 14/15 kit says "Youth Courage Greatness". Why have we downgraded that to "Youth Courage Success"?

I assume that since the club is waiting for the international transfer window to open, any new signings will be from abroad.
Just an assumption

They may be using the tagline specifically for this transfer. The next signing may have a different 3 words presented on that same shield.

Sounds like something you would read at Disneyland
Woodward did say we were like Disneyland for adults....

 that's that then. Signings like Di Maria, Falcao, Ibra etc. make this a load of pish
It was used specifically for the youth team then. This is the first time it has been used for the first team as far as I'm aware. Either that or Dan James will be going into the youth setup rather than the first team...

"Youth, Courage, United" would be a much better slogan and also removes the risk of it being mocked in the future.

From what I can determine, your average Redcafe poster wants us to sign the next Gareth Bale who is also the current Gareth Bale who is young and malleable but who is experienced and has done it at the top level. They also want us to unearth gems whilst at the same time, paying top dollar for 'name' signings.

As much as I like the general idea, the fact we actually have this as a slogan is slightly cringeworthy.

Wasn't it on the bus when LvG won the FA cup, and removed when Mourinho walked in?

I love the smell of ‘self delusion’ in the morning, it smells like (please insert to personal tastes)
