Ecuador are the strongest team left in the competition. Will be cheering them on to win the whole thing.

Was Espinoza's goal not offside?

Commentators seemed to think so granted it was an American team so perhaps biased. I thought replays looked offside but perhaps Espinoza was played onside somehow.

Was an angle that showed he was clearly onside. Didn't show it til a few minutes after the goal though.

This tournament has been amazing. Lots of matches have been close with a significant amount of drama in them. Korea vs. Senegal is currently in extra time thanks to a last-gasp Korea equaliser, and they're currently leading 3-2.

Lee Kang-In has been exceptional. Along with Barco, he's been the best player in the whole tournament.

The Senegal Korea match was hilariously low on quality. Senegal equalized with the last kick of extra time and it went to penalties.
Korea missed their first two and still went through

Raw talent but miles better than Jovane.
I agree he is still "Muito Verde" but you can see his potential when he gets hold of the ball.

Jovane physically is a beast. The rest is the problem. He could maybe be a bench player but nothing more.

It looks the final is going to be Ukraine vs South Korea. A new under 20 World Champion. Interesting competition where none of the so called favourites reached this stage.

Italy pretty unlucky to go out. Played the best they have all tournament, scored a completed screamer last kick as well and VAR ruled it out. 100% should have stood.

Final should be a good watch, Korea been very inconsistent. Quite odd they’re here after being dominated by South Africa for 45, comfortably 2nd best to Japan, completely shut down by Portugal and scoring last kick v Senegal to stay in.

You mean Korea became a very Italian type of team all of sudden? I actually think you're right, but their victory, if they win, will be memorable.

Well done Ukraine. It shows that to win this tournaments more than big names you need a good number of weeks to prepare well the team before it starts.

On a curious note here, the last 4 winners came all from Europe and always a different country (France, Serbia,England, Ukraine). None of the countries who reached the last 4 had won previously this competition, only Italy is associated with a traditional big football country.

It shows football knowledge and coaching is at his peak globally, and dismisses entirely the common sense that football in the past was better, better players and so on. Exactly the opposite.

Well-deserved win for Ukraine; Korea just didn't have enough at the end. Kang-In did win the golden ball of the tournament, though. Hopefully, he continues developing on his current trajectory. The first player to win the golden ball of this tournament at 18 y.o. since some guy from Argentina who won it fourteen years ago.
