I will let him go if we can get Bale on 2 years loan deal + free hand on Erickson transfer. With this we can get Bale & Erickson plus another 70 mil spare to spend on a Right winger. Means for Pogba we could get Bale/Erickson/Right winger. With Lukaku money we can get someone like Heller or Werner, means with 0 money we could fix our front 4 positions.

With other sales and this year budget we could get 2/3 Central Midfielders and 2/3 Defenders too from the below list. We could easily rebuild with just 200 millions +players sales...Common Ed...Please DO IT

Erikson/Bale/Brandt/Harvertz/Bruno/Maddison/Sancho/Felix/Richarlison/Benjwain/Loranzo/Pepe/Aouar/Ndombele/Tilesman/Rodri/Thiago/Neves/Brooks/Maguire/Toby/Minalos/Anderson/Delegit/AWB/Meunier/
Simple as it sounds. Don’t know what makes you think we will land Eriksen here.

At least we can try?

People should stop saying this is not FM blah blah as we really need one of those windows to clear plenty of deadwood and sign some quality

If you write down names on a paper you can easily see 10+ players you would like to get rid of, So what are we waiting for ?

I feel we have good talent of pool available in the market this year, so before other clubs get in we should make our moves

If we can get 5/6 players from the below list that would drastically improve us

Werner/Heller/Brandt/Richarlison/Loranzo/Pepe/Maddison/Bruno/Erickson/Brooks/Bale/Benjwein/Sancho/Felix/Harvertz/Barrella/Auoar/
Tilesman/Rabbiot/Neves/Thiago/Partey/Ndombele/Delight/Maguire/Anderson/Minalos/AWB/Meunier/

At least try something realistic first.

His immediate future should be playing at 10 at this club.
If he stays, I agree that should be the role for him. It's not a hiding place. Less responsibility defensively, more responsibility in attack.

I realise some have felt that the level of negativity directed towards Pogba is too high in comparison to other inferior players in the squad. However, it's really for this precise reason that such criticism exists as it's directly relative to the great expectations people have of him which for the most part have been left unfulfilled. That being said I'm seeing a good deal more flak heading the way of Lindgard and Rashy these last few weeks and less so at Pogba which I'm guessing for some is far more appropriate and a long time coming.

He has kept a relatively low profile hasn't he, Lingard asks for grief. Pogba probably has more important things to think about at the moment and is wisely keeping quiet

There's nothing concrete here. Just the media making easy money by linking a big name player to different clubs. They started with Barcelona links, moved on to Real and the "Zidane connection", when it became clear for all that real have other targets and already spent 300 this summer they moved on to Juve. There's nothing from Pogba, nothing from the agent. What we do have is Ole saying he will stay and build the team around him.

So relax, Pogba is here to stay and once again be one of the best CMs in the league.

Rumours of him leaving are growing - can't say it worries me!
It worries me in a way that we already had loads to do this summer, so both him and De Gea possibly leaving just makes it an enormous hole all round.

However, I can't see anyone welling up the dough it'll take to get him.
Real Madrid are already lashing it around, and unless they do one of these hardly ever happens swap deals I can't see it.

Worst case is we're idiotic enough to take Bale and 20-30m as a payment.

It's not football manager. You're setting expectations for yourself that aren't going to be met. You'll then get angry about it.

Do you not think having the likes of Pogba at United makes it easier for us to attract other top players?
Definitely they don't care much about Pogba staying or not. They probably care more about the fact we're 6 years in and not challenging for any big trophy and failed to qualify to CL yet again. These are stronger reasons to stay away from United regardless of Pogba's situation.

These are just not rumours when Zidane is publicly talking about him. Zidane wants Pogba, Pogba would like Madrid but Perez thinks Pogba is way overpriced and would rather go after Eriksen for half the fee and wages. I think 70 % chance he stays because no one can afford him. I see him leaving next season for cheaper when he has 1 year left on his deal

I agree with this, but players nowerdays talk about 'projects'. If our project under our new manager looks promosing - and that means keeping the likes of Pogba and De Gea, as well as adding quality, then players won't worry too much about our current position.

The season before Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic joined we came 6th.

Not arsed one bit, as long as they get a top quality replacement I'm happy for the trouble causing tw@t to leave.

Time is different now though. When we signed Pogba and Zlatan we were only 3 years of being poor, hired a top manager and the idea was that these 3 years are just few odd years and we'll be back shortly. Now we're 6 years of being poor, under 4th manager and ended the season horribly. I honestly think it'll be hard for any player trust the new project to be that good considering what happened to the previous "projects". Our best hope in the market is to sign some young hungry players and return to the basics imo.

This sums it up nicely. He can hardly string two decent games together and his head is too big. At best he is worth 75million and would be surprised if anyone pays more for him.

Our best player and if I thought he wanted to stay and become a legend id be all for building a side round him and even turn a blind eye to the off field rubbish and the evidence of lobbing managers under the bus.
Trouble is he clearly wants to go and the main reason he will be around in August is Real refusing to stump up the necessary for him. Which means we are in limbo, unable to fully rebuild the team even though we know hell be off as soon as Real stump up or his contract finishes.
Seems mad he only has 2 years left on his contract. Sadly id offload for what we can get and go for a complete rebuild

Funny how when he plays some supposed worldie pass and bosses Bolivia, that’s proof as to why we should keep him, but he stinks up the place against turkey this thread is awfully quiet.

Maybe because everbody was shite.

And I didn't read anything about Pogba when France was sure to finish first in their group for the Nations League before bottling against Netherlands without Pogba...

Now that France losses again, it's Pogba fault even when the french medias blame Deschamps and the entire squad ???

The hate that Pogba gets from the Manchester United fans is something else :houllier:

I’m not hating him, I just pointing out the consistency isn’t there from some people and people say why would you ever want rid of him? It’s because sometimes, he is utter shite, so it’s a valid opinion.

I admit that i haven´t seen much of Pogba this season. But looking at his stats, i would not expect that much criticism. Is his character a "problem"? I saw a lot of fans criticize players like Kroos, Götze and Lahm. I guess these fans just did not notice, that there are different types of players: Leaders, individualist and team players. It seems people expect from every world class player also to be a leader (which means he also has to be a "fighter")? I don´t know Pogba well enough to put him in on of these three categories but if i had to guess, i would call him an individualist. Do fans want him as a leader and are disappointed for this reason?

An awful opinion. Even Messi can be mediocre in some games especially when everybody around him is shite like it was the case last Saturday for Pogba.

The french fans and medias are blaming the entire squad and coaching staff. But some Manchester United fans are single out Pogba. If it isn't hate, I don't know what it is.

Yeah like against turkey was the only time that’s ever happened. For the record, I want to keep him, if he wants to stay.

It's hard to put in a midfield masterclass when your defence is having a shocker and your forwards aren't making the correct offensive runs. We've seen a hundred times that when Paul's teammates maintain average form at least, he elevates the whole squad several levels above. That's what he does, that's why he's the best CM in the world. Do you expect him to pull a Messi and dribble past 3 opponents regulary? Do you expect him to pull a Ronaldo and score decisive goals out of nowhere regulary? CMs simply have different tasks on the pitch - and even then, we've seen Paul put in performances on Messi's/Ronaldo's level to secure OGS his job. Honestly, he probably shouldn't have.

Speaking of GOATs, it's statistically proven that only Messi and Ronaldo have more influence for their teams than Paul does... but Barcelona and Juventus both have several world class players to make the difference even when Messi/Ronaldo don't perform at the moment. Who do we have? "JLingz"? Lukaku? "Rashy"? Face it, among the top clubs (if we still can be considered a top club - certainly not in the case of PP's departure) there's no one so heavily dependent on their leading man as we are.

The minority is disappointed because they tought that he could defend like Kante, passe like Pirlo, dribble like Ronaldinho and score like Lampard.

The majority is hating because he proved Fergie wrong 7 years ago and now he wants to leave because he doesn't want to fight for top 4 spot every season while being the scapegoat for everything bad in the club.

Seeing Pogba shine again with Juventus or signing with Real while the club is still in a mess is the biggest fear for a lot of our fans. The narrative built by Gary Neville and his friends in the british media and followed by our entire base fans would be exposed ;)

I’ve said in other threads he’s much better than this team and should leave for his own good and our good tbh. When he doesn’t fancy it, he is a burden, when everyone else is playing at a level equal to him , he’s world class. We’re far away from that next season and I think we’ll see peaks and troughs from him next season as he gets fed up again. Better we try and rebuild without him, for his and our sakes.

I just find it weird people will rush to here when he plays well against Bolivia, but then equally say his bad performance is due to everyone else against Turkey. Doesn’t make much sense to me.

You should read your post then.
Ok.

And ironically, he still does pass like Pirlo, dribble like Ronaldinho and score like Lampard more often than not. But if he doesn't deliver in the odd match, half of the Caf wants to get rid. Some posters here have fallen for the anti-Pogba propaganda it seems, media even made up a "walking %" stat just to disrespect PP.

I’ve said in other threads he’s much better than this team and should leave for his own good and our good tbh.
I still believe this can be prevented. Just give him a new contract, give him the captain's armband, ask him where does he feel most comfortable on the pitch and set up a tactical plan accordingly. And of course, acquire some elite players to help him out.

Glorioius history, huge global fanbase, and Paul Pogba - that's all we have at the moment. Do you have any faith in our owners, the manager, or the rest of the squad? But with each poor season our history matters less and the fanbase dwindles. That's why it's essential to hold on to PP.

I'm almost as unimpressed by Bale recently! But rumours abound of a clear out at Madrid too to finance more deals

I try not to think of Pogba at all! I really have been hugely unimpressed by his attitude and performances and not sure he's really a draw for others (in fact if it's someone who plays in his position they would be more ready to come)

I think he is a fantastic player and will be a fantastic player for whoever he signs but only when he wants.

When Ole arrived he played brilliant looked like the worldie he claims to be, when he played well everyone else seemed to play well.. but the problem was when he seemed to down tools so did everyone else.
I would get rid of him as Mourinho seems to be right about him being a virus
