Greece down 3-1 to Armenia at home.

We really should have beat them. Up 2-0 and we blew it.

Italy is OK though.

I don't see any big difference between Italy and England, aside fron Jadon Sancho and Harry Kane.
Sterling, Sancho and Kane. Three top attackers, which makes all the difference to any side.

In TAA England possess a top fullback as well, which is crucial in the modern game.

Otherwise though, England's current cm/cb/lb/gk options range from decent to poor.

Are Welsh people happy with Giggs then or? I've only watched their last two games, they don't look up to much. Although Bale looks so over the hill so that's a major disadvantage compared to Coleman's side.

I remember in last euro qualifiers they lost to Northern Ireland and Faroes Islands at home, Ranieri was their manager for those two games.

Northern Ireland got a late winner in Belarus. That's quite interesting as Holland will have a little bit of pressure now when they're back from their nations league hiatus. Going to Belfast will be tricky game for them.

Well, it was expected. We were slowing down in last few minutes, and they took advantage, another nice goal.

One of Holland or Germany are not going to qualify I don't think.

12 points from 12 is outstanding for NI and puts a lot of pressure on both.

Holland will fail I think. Van Dijk and co to miss out.

Nice to see us playing so well against Germany. They need a whole two more goals to make it our worst loss ever.

Edit: one more

Sané had to score three times until one stands, and probably this one was actually offside

Bosnia in 4th and Greece in 5th. Group J is where the shocks are happening. Finland got a great chance of qualifying automatically.

Loss is harsh on you guys
I think the first goal killed us, and simply we don't have anyone to bring when we started getting tired. We lack quality in first XI, let alone on bench. But I was quite happy with today's performance.

Holland got a play off as insurance. I still think they'll get 2nd. Norn Iron done all they can to get the points on the board and pile pressure on Holland to not slip up.

I don't really think they can expect any more than this.

When you're still wheeling out the likes of Gunter, Hennessey, Lawrence and Ashley Williams, you're not going to consistently qualify for tournaments. That backline is a hideous disaster.

Then you have a teenager and Joe Allen holding down the midfield, a couple of decent young attacking midfielders and their talisman is on a steep decline. It's a nigh on impossible job for anyone imo.

Iceland home record must be incredible, when was the last time you lost a World cup or euro qualifier @Snow ? Can see you holding France when you play them.

Undeserved honestly, and worrying that we would have this much trouble at home* against Bosnia

*not that it felt like a home game, more bosnians than italians in the stadium ffs

Don't want to speak for him, but I believe he's being sarcastic while simultaneously making the point that if we used him correctly he might score goals in a similar way for us.
And he's right. Lukaku is a very decent striker, not absolute top drawer but will score goals if you give him consistent service. Gets far too much stick at United.

The guy was competing with Kane for the golden boot before the United move. Sometimes you have to think that if this many players don't flourish at a side then maybe something is wrong at the club rather than the individuals.

I actually think they've got some of the best youngsters in British football. Amapdu and Brooks are very good talents, just need to stop getting injured. James is good and has got his big move then you have likes of Woodburn who's regressed lately but still very young. Harry Wilson is a bottom half premier league player so will probably get a move to a side there next season.

They can never seem to produce international quality striker though Vokes is their best and you have to play hoofball for him to be effective so he's just a plan B option for them.

Missed Ramsey's energy and goal threat in these round of games big time aswell. Going to be pressure on them to win the home games now, was same for the last World cup qualifiers and they choked at the end.

Getting 2nd ahead of Hungary and Slovakia is not some impossible task so it would be a bit of a failure from Giggs not to make euros imo.

Job done. Undeserved, somewhat lucky, but right now what matters is the result. We do our job against armenia, greece and lichtenstein and we're qualified

Narrowly beating the minnows is one thing, taking points from Germany and Holland is a different task entirely.

Holland already lost against Germany, so they have to be focused from now on, but I would still bet on them.

Estonia and Belarus haven't exactly looked troubling thus far.

Wales realized in the last three minutes that to win a game they need to attack a bit.

It’s so unreal as a Belgian that we are winning these games so easily. Growing up losing to Cyprus and Azerbaijan, this is just fantastic. It won’t last, but I’m enjoying every bit of it.

Holland have playoff insurance from the Nations League and I think best placed 3rd teams get a shot in the playoffs too. It’s really hard for the bigger nations to fail now. Holland managed it last time but I don’t see it happening again.

Slovenia in 2012 maybe?

We did lose in the nations league at home though but Slovenia and Switzerland in 2012 or 2013 are the last qualifying loses at home I remember.
