Wouldn't be surprised if those demands are true. Remember that forwards contracts have a prize per goal clause. Scoring penalties = more money.

More players should do this! Jump onto Twitter and trash rumours.
The fact he bothered to deny it, probably makes it likely it's vaguely accurate?

That is the issue they would have.

He's not likely to go, "yeah that's exactly what I demanded..."

So if players don't deny then fans ask "how much time does it take to deny rumors".
If players deny it on twitter "If player is bothered to reply, then there must be some truth in this"

It's a lose-lose for players.

We're all wankers living in a wanker society. It's what we've created. It's what we want. Bullshit.

No way
Why would he even bother ? Kylian won't be leaving this summer, it's time to accept it

Madrid 'considering €400 million move. Might as well do the same. If we sign him for that, give it three seasons and Madrid will take him for €1billion

Might as well go for it. If PSG doesn't succeed in the CL this season, major chance that he doesn't sign an extension, that will be the sign to go for it. He's far and away the best young player in the world, any club getting him instantly becomes better. He'd tear up any league he goes to.

In some alternative reality, this would seem like the stars are aligning for him to make a big money move to United, after the Saudi's take ownership.

I'm sure he'd be thrilled at the prospect of playing in the Europa League.
Gee I wish I had an example of a young Frenchman with all sorts of potential and suitors in all realms choosing to play for Manchester United in the Europa League....hmmmm just can't think of one...darn. Guess it could never happen!

We had Mourinho as the new coach the season Pogba signed. Martial joined us when we were CL qualifiers. So what's your point?:wenger:

He'll stay at PSG.
It's a question of image and prestige for the Qatari government in the runup to the 2022 WC. PSG is their shiny PR machine and they firmly want to establish it as a top dog in world football pecking order. If the most promising young player in the world (and a local boy at that) leaves for Madrid, it just becomes a confirmation thay they're not on that level, that there is a level higher to climb.

He'll get a Messi like salary when he renews.

No way will he be joining Liverpool. He'll stay at PSG while, Neymar will probably leave before anybody.

Yeah that Frenchman was at United before and wanted to come back and play under Jose with hopes we'd return to being a huge giant again.

Nowhere near the same situation.

Farmer league comments incoming....
The league isn't great, but there's no denying he's an elite player. I hope he can make his mark in the CL this season.

So do I ^^ He's already a pretty impressive CL scorer though, but I hope he'll score when it really matters.

I know it's a weak league, but 70 league goals already? That's very impressive for his age. Still need to be good enough to score that amount of goals.

Mental stats above. He’s also the youngest player to ever hit 10 CL goals, and I’d be surprised if this record is beaten for a while. For instance, Haaland smashed his first ever CL campaign and he *only* managed 8 goals in it, as well as already being 19!

Good spot. You are of course correct, but my point of the league not having weird arbitrary lines of ‘counted’ and ‘not counted’.

Tried to look at why they drew a line there. Couldn’t see anyone young getting to 70 goals in the season or two prior to that. Odd.

I don't disagree 'Premier League history' is marketing only, probably because there were some crazy stats back in the day like Dixie Dean's 60 goals in 39 games that wouldn't help hyping up far less grand modern totals.

Bernard who? Says it all really!
It may be sarcasm but if you looked at Saint Etienne or Bordeaux in the 70s-80s or followed Platini, Tigana, Giresse then you should know Lacombe because he was as talented as they were and played with them. He is one of the best french player ever.
