Good for Pakistan. Think the only way they'll get anything out of the game is with some help from the weather.
A lot on the toss. If Pakistan can bowl first then they'll trouble the batsman due to the conditions.

It's sad how far the quality in SL team have fallen. Always used to be a tough team to play in WCs. Hope they find some quality going forward.

These 2 have increased the pace & Australia will probably win this game, but it just feels like their scoring rate is a bit sluggish.

Edit: that 6 helps!!

Warner struggling with his strike rate which is a bit concerning. He looked in excellent form in the IPL (albeit vastly different conditions and format).

Surely it’s Khawaja or Marsh - not both? Especially with Smith in at 3.

Probably need either another all rounder or big hitting batsman in.

Aussies should have scored 370. Should still be more than what Lanka could score.

50 over cricket gets shit upon a lot, but every ICC tournament reminds me that it is a great format.

Lovely over from Behrendoff and might solve Australia's middle order headache if he can take up the new ball, and Cummins bowls in the middle.

What about Warner’s near run a ball ton versus Pakistan?

They’ve never been a truly top team. Let’s not even get into the disgraceful backdrop of their only World Cup win. If you took the chucker out of their team during their golden period, they’d have had an average at best bowling line up for the most part. They’ve had a couple of great batsmen but as a squad they’ve never been up there with the best.

They’re trying to play to the DL score (given the weather forecast), hence their accelerated start to the innings, they know there’s no other way for them to even stand a chance otherwise.
Yeah it's smart.

They're doing well.

It's been pissing down in Manchester for like 2 weeks. Probably ruin India Pakistan.

Sri Lanka putting on a good show here so far. Some really nice shots being played.

What forecast? 40 % chance of 'light rain' for about half an hour. Might lose a couple of overs at worst.

Good point, which is making his recent struggle with his timing/strike rate even more confusing? His still up there amongst the top run scorers. He’s just not striking it at his usual strike rate.
I wouldn’t put it down to much mate. I think he’s in good form and his return has undoubtedly strengthened Aus. To more immediately concerning news for Aus... Sri Lanka may have a chance here?

Fun while it lasted. Aussies just needed an opening, they'll take care of this poor middle order.

Yeah agreed.

SL was off to an absolute flyer. In with a shout as long as they keep their head and not do a Pak/WI and gift the Aus some cheap wickets.

Expecting SL batting to collapse soon but it would be hilarious if they win.
