Please vote for one of the teams that you believe would win across conditions. Note that this is a sheep draft so its unlikely that the finalists would have achieved best of all time XI here. You just need to compare the two teams at play here

Team @harshad

Why I will win :
- Great Openers who compliment the playing style of each other.
- Solid middle order batsmen, led by the Sir Vivian Richards, who can consolidate and build in case of a top order collapse or build on the foundation laid by the top order
- A goat bowler leading the attack with Imran Khan, Shoaib Akhtar and Jaques Kallis to support him.
- A decent spinner in Chahal, who is quite underrated, with Sir Viv and Clarke to support him.

Team @crappycraperson

Batting -
  • Warner + Ganguly - One of modern era's most destructive opening batsmen with a top 5/10 ODI opener of all time.
  • Middler order is super solid with Sanga, Smith and Yousuf. Disagree with folks who want hitters at no.5 position. Having 3 solid middle order batsmen is a must against a good bowling attack.
  • Watson + Pandya - Two enforcers towards the lower order. Flexible batting order means they can get a promotion if required. Lee and Warne provide further batting support from the tail.

Bowling -
  • Warne + McGrath - The best match winning bowling combo. Best ODI pace bowler of all time with the best (or second best) ODI spinner of all time.
  • Brett Lee & Shane Bond - Despite injuries, Bond is a good shout to be best ODI fast bowler for NZ. Brett Lee is underrated for the role he played for the all conquering Aussie side in 00s.
  • Watson, Pandya and Ganguly are great options for 5th bowling option. Watson and Ganguly both have more than 100 wickets. Smith can be a part time spinner if required.

Match up

Opposition bats deep too. So key would be the 3 pacers getting wickets early and then Warne putting further pressure. Viv gives the opposition an edge in batting but I believe I have the better bowling attack by some margin. Warne stands out as a spinner who can make a difference.

Chahal and Carrey in final 11 is super underwhelming. Closest unproven name I have is Hardik and his role is well covered by Watson. Chahal as one of your main 4 bowlers in all time ODI draft is super bleh.

Yes but a team with Viv, Imran, Greenidge and Kallis isnt losing. His strengths and GOATs are simply better than yours.

Crappy's bowling is better but his middle order is too similar in terms of style. Sanga, Smith and MoYo are accumulators, a more powerful bat is needed.

Kallis isn't an ODI GOAT. Ganguly was a better ODI batsman than him.

I have two after them. Against Imran and Garner need a solid top 5 to lay the foundation before Watson and Hardik can attack.

Hardick is pretty unproven in this company as for Watson his best game came as an opener in ODIs but he can be useful coming in to slog. It just seems you need a bit of acceleration in the middle order. On the other hand Harshad has both Viv and Hussey on both ends who can do this for him.

Plus I also rate Akhtar highly in ODIs, he's atleast on par with both Bond and Lee imo.

Confident that Warner will take care of his middle order. Viv is best player in the game no question but McGrath is also the best pacer along with Warne and two very very good ODI bowlers.

Pretty sure my middle order will take Warner to the cleaners ;)

Jokes aside, will give my thoughts in the morning

harshad's batting is just too good, but it feels wrong voting against such a fantastic bowling line-up as crappy's. For my shame I was in the draft group with harshad where he picked up Imran without a peep being said. I was so desperate for a half-decent bowler I didn't want to kick up a stink in case I ended up empty-handed.

Anyway I prefer to focus on him getting Mr Cricket in round 1, top drafting that. Well done harshad.

Yeah. For one of the two teams above. The poll now seems to be closed but you can give in your two cents. Would be nice
