Get Van de Beek in as well as Rabiot and the midfields sorted.

Mobility and quality on the ball with those two, and from what ive read from people connected to Ajax, some think Van de Beeks best position is at the base of midfield but they obviously had De Jong there

It's the same interview, 2 papers reported it different.

Sky
He revealed his contact with Juventus while on holiday in Italy, and said Manchester United is another club he would like to play for.

"I like Italy very much, staying here is wonderful, you rest and you recuperate," the French midfielder told Corriere dello Sport.

"A demanding season awaits me. I have spoken with Juventus, but we can't say anything.

"I still don't know where I will go. It is a great club where every good player would like to play.
"Manchester United? The same applies. I need to decide, but now I am on holiday. You will know soon."
Daily Mail
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, he said: 'Juve watched me and we talked about it.

'Manchester United? It’s the same as last year, I have to decide. Soon you will know.'
The source for both.

Sky reported correctly. He said whatever he said about Juventus applies to ManUtd too.

I just don’t see this happening at all. I’d be shocked if it did

After all the things said about the lack of discipline in our team. That players don’t try hard enough, Martial being given an easy ride despite not doing enough. After all that would we accept a guy who’d take the piss like this? If any player right now did this we’d want him dropped immediately. So why would we sign a guy with a reputation for this behaviour when we’re trying to reform and fix poor attitudes in the team! This signing just makes 0 sense to me
So you wouldn’t want Mbappe either then, with his ‘attitude’.

His bad reputation has been built around incidents which virtually have nothing to do with the actual football - his attitude towards training and games has not been called into question. Players challenging their coach with regards to playing time and/ or where they should play will be absolutely rife in football. If you wade through all the nonsense reported, he seems to wants to play and do well.

Much of what has been reported regarding Rabiot was to do with his mother agent. That’s no reason not to label the player as a bad egg. And he has cut ties and got himself a new agent anyway.

Well, there are other quotes in the article portraying him differently:

"Former Norway striker Daniel Braaten played alongside Rabiot for five months at Toulouse and says it was what the straggly-haired youngster did on the training pitch that left the strongest impression on him and his team-mates.

"He played like a man in a boy's body," Braaten told Bleacher Report. "He had a few 'how did he do that?' moments where he just left us scratching our heads. The technical execution of some of the things he did was high.

"He was hungry, humble and eager to learn. I didn't see any signs of stubbornness, just a young kid happy to play. And he did well for us.""

I would never buy a mamas boy like Rabiot or a wifes toy like Icardi.

That’s a description from years ago though. This is a guy who’s shown indiscipline a few times in the last year for club and country. To me it’s a risk and people are conveniently ignoring it because of his quality but the absolute most important thing right now in our club is to fix the attitude and culture.

If we get players like Rabiot were not learning at all. It’s not just about whether they are indisciplind or not but they need to be model professionals, willing to die for the club. Would Klopp or Poch ever sign Rabiot? I doubt it. He’s the type of guy who if things don’t go his way then he might throw a strop. It’s not worth the risk

He actually hasn't shown any sort of particular indiscipline that would warrant your post. Rabiot isn't an indisciplined player and he doesn't have a bad attitude when it comes to work. Players being late happens all the time, generally no one cares and it's not in the press, the player gets a fine and that's it but in France when it comes to PSG everything has to be turned into some sort of drama.

Just an example, someone like Kanté has the reputation of being constantly late.

Most likely off to Juve or somehow stays at PSG.

Would like to see him at United.

“Rabiot is incredible, such a great player,” Buffon told Corriere dello Sport.

“He is also a lovely lad and a fine teammate. I don’t know where the whole media storms surrounding him came from, because the guy I know is world class.

“Rabiot is this fantastic mixture: he has the strength of Pogba, who is built like a wardrobe, the courage of Vidal and potentially the dynamism of Marchisio.

“He has to improve the timing of his runs into the box but can become someone who scores 10 goals per season.”
Interesting comments from Buffon.

So that would be a midfield of Rabiot, Ramsey, Emre, Khedira, Matuidi and Pjanic?

Ronaldo was a mama's boy, Isnt it ? It depends on how their mama's are.

Rabiot Mom is his agent and heard she is a tough negotiator.

He comes across as a maverick like Cantona who can excel if he is properly handled.

That’s quite a weird way of looking at things? Who cares as long as he does well on the pitch?

Both are 32, Emre is Meh and Juve love a freebie so why not?
Yeah, they certainly do. But unless they're selling some of them, I can't see it happening. We on the other hand can offer him as many games as he can handle (and the lure of the Europa!) Also, forgot: Bentancur.

And Pogba...
Haha. Yes, exactly.

Wasn't Pjanic supposed to be looking for a move?

Tuesday:
"I am calm, I still have a four-year contract with Juventus and we love each other. I feel good in Turin, I am at a serious club and I can still give a lot. I am also very happy with the fans and I repeat I am in a club that is great."

As I said would like to see him at united but its too much of a good deal for us to be fully in. If they're after Rabiot then they'll move on those players, not sure why you can't see it. We can offer De Ligt more game time as well but it doesn't mean he'll come here just based on that.

Yeah, I know they're a bigger draw. I just don't see the need, much as they like to scoop up "free" talent. They're stocked in midfield.

Chiringuito: Rabiot to Juve, 10 million commission and 5 year contract at 7 million a year.

Possible outcomes:
Pogba goes to Juve and Rabiot comes here or Pogba goes to Madrid and Rabiot goes to Juve.

Lets pray...

Do Juve even need a midfielder? Or they can't just resist a central midfielder on a free transfer. This is very annoying if true. I mean it's obvious that a player would in 9 out of 10 times would choose Juve over us in current scenario.

Rabiot to Juve, free transfer, 7 million a year. Meanwhile it looks like we're giving Mata a 3 year extension, 5 millions a year. We're so incompetent it hurts.

They certainly don't need him when you look at who they already have. They do have a somewhat limited transfer budget and so might be looking to use Rabiot and Ramsey as replacements for assets that can then be sold.

Might sell Khedira and Pjanic? It's bizzare cos they're also actively looking for Pogba or SMS for their midfield.

They're likely looking to refresh their midfield. The likes of Khedira and Matuidi are 32 years old and will need replacing sooner rather than later.
