So the usual news paper sources and actually not even a decent source.

Who knows what Ole really wants and I wouldn’t be surprised if that is from an agent or Sporting just trying to gather interest in a player that has a lot of hype and they would like to sell for the highest fee possible.

Would rather get Havertz if Pogba was to leave over Bruno.
Not even a decent source? It's from James Ducker article, he is considered as reliable for ManUtd news.

The scousers are now favourites with the bookies to sign Fernandez. 1-9 with some and United now 2nd favs. We are so shit at transfer dealings or should I say Woodward is.

Where are you seeing this? All I'm seeing is 1/2 odds on for Liverpool

With sky bet, we are 5/2 to sign him.

Why doesn't ed put a £20m bet on. Sign Bruno for £70m and then cash in?

Effectively he'd just cost us £20m

I think Woody can only concentrate on one signing at a time. First James and now AWB. Hopefully he gets that one over the line before Woody goes off on his hols.
The guy is a commercial genius and you make out like he is a complete idiot. Reality is you don't have a clue what he is working on or the constraints he is working with.

For a start you can only have a certain number of players in your squad so maybe he needs more outgoings.

Secondly, if the prices being quoted make no sense then you might have to drag out multiple negotiations.

Third we might have a very tight budget and thus how we spend it is important and many deals need to reach their negotiation conclusion to help decide how best to spend that budget

Fourth its Matt Judge who does most of this, not Woodward!

Latest is Woodward will not pay the 70 million euro asking price. Kinda guessed this was coming. We will end up with 2 signings and more excuses.

Pogba is quite capable and has shown perfectly acceptable discipline in that role for extended periods of time for both United and France.
With Kante n Matuidi. Not Bruno Fernandes who is like a number 10.

You're just trying to show horn him into a team. Pogba n Fernandes together in a 3 man midfield would be embarrassing for us off the ball.

Matuidi plays on the left, with Kante and Pogba in a double pivot. Bruno Fernandes would be playing in the equivalent role to Griezmann in that comparison. He manages just fine in a two for France. He also managed just fine in a three for Juve with Pirlo and Vidal, where Pirlo is like a no.10 playing in the holding role - was that midfield embarrassing off the ball?

Regardless of Matt Judge's involvement, Woody is pulling the strings and will get the final say on the transfer.
Also, wether or not Woody is a financial genius or not is irrelevant, he is not the person to be involved any way to negotiate football matters because in that area he is NOT any sort of genius. He is there to provide or not provide the funds. If we had a footballing genius at the club would we let him loose in the accounts department? No, so why let a guy whose knowledge of football could be written on back of stamp have such an I put into signings. This should be up to Ole and Judge after being given the financial constraints by Woody.

As for needing more outgoings, it was Woody that gave extended/improved contracts to just about everyone that falls into that category.

The genius who said that "we can do things in the market that other clubs can only dream of", thereby adding a premium to any price United have to pay for players

It's the way to go.

I'm sure bookies will take lots of 50p bets to allow this.

And of course, it's allowed by FA, Eufa, fifa etc

If this guy goes to Liverpool then Ed sure fecked it !
Only if we were in for him in the first place. The more I think about it, the less I think we are. I think there's a number of signings that are plan B if Pogs goes and sadly I think Ole believes there's enough quality in the club already otherwise he we wouldn't be giving the likes of Mata and Jones extended contracts. I think any players that we sign this window are going to be for the future.

We had Herrera with him who is excellent off the ball and he were still embarrassing. You want to swap him for a more attacking player in Fernandes and think that will make us more solid? Hahahahaha

Knowing Ed, he would probably screw up the contract negotiations after placing the 20 million bet

Sounds like you just described Herarra.
Kind of. Not that I'm an expert on Fernandes but from what I've seen he's a bit like a Herrera who's not as smart defensively but is very quick to get a shot away and is an excellent finisher with not much backlift. I have to say that makes him better for me as we will need goals from midfield this year, particularly if we lose the only goalscoring midfielder we have.

The more i see him and read about him the more I feel we need him. Perfect Herrera replacement and will defo fill the gap imo. Think he will do great here but we need to give him time to settle. Look at Fred.

Ducker said Ole wants us to push for Fernandes' transfer, so I'd imagine we'll sign him this summer. Would be a good addition.

Legal issues aside, aren't betting wins capped at 500k
