How would you spend Pogba and Lukaku money?

Its being touted that we want £150 million for Pogba and £75 million for Romelu Lukaku, that’s £225 that will surely have to be reinvested into the squad.

I can possibly see us signing Maguire for £80 million regardless of what happens with Pogba or Lukaku. If we do sell both, the books will surely be balanced. Say the reports are correct and we only have £100 million net, that would leave us with £175 million to play around with.

Which players would you sign? Would you try to go for Eriksen or Bruno? We also need a couple of centre midfielders as well imo and a replacement for Lukaku. Which players would leave our squad in a better state than it was last season?

Partey - 45Mil, Barella - 50Mil, Bruno - 60Mil, AWB - 45Mil, Toby - 25Mil

For 0 net, we can add five players to the team who can improve us.

We could get another 70-80 millions on fringe players(Rojo/Darmian/Matic/Alexis/Baily/Perrera/Jones) and we can spend that on a right winger(Pepe/Sancho). Means with zero spending we can have the following team

---Martial --------Rashford --------Pepe
-------------------Bruno-----------------
-----------Barella-------Partey----------
----Shaw-----Toby-----Lindelof------AWB

Yip, £225 for the squad and £224,999,775 for the Glazers next Dividend.

Sounds about right.

I'd buy Athletic Bilbao. With £225mil we can afford to go over valuation.

Use it to improve the ground...

As we've sold neither and it does presently look like they're going no where. We can have 2 good players to help the club succeed instead.

Maguire
Bruno
Longstaff
Pepe
Piatek (more likely Ben Yedder)

Will cost more than the amount it cost for them but we have a budget on top of that.

You do realize that's a worse team than what we fielded last season right?

Would Piatek not cost an absolute fortune since he’s been a resounding success?

I'm sure he fell out with somebody but yes he likely would - so more likely Ben Yedder.

Fair enough. Though I’d take Ben Yedder in a heart beat at his release clause. Experienced and a bloody decent player too.

Really? Please go through the stats and playing style of all the new players and then you will realise this team is far better than previous year. Barella is very highly regarded by top Italian managers and we made an offer in last January too.Toby is a very good ball playing centre back available for less money...AWB was one of the best right back last year and Bruno can be a great attacking threat along side Pepe.

We might be able to get a decent replacement for Lukaku but we will struggle to replace his 20+ goals instantly unless the new guy steps up considerably.
There is no way we will adequately be able to replace Pogba or our entire midfield for that matter in this window or the next. We need to first have a system and then spend wisely on the right players and it would take years even then.

Until we see these players in Red.
Until we see an actual style of play and some organisation it is going to be shit whoever is in play. Ole and the staff I'm sure will have an actual style of play going into next year.

Hers fecking hoping.

Ben Yedder makes a lot of sense. Cheap, good goal scorer and at an age where it won't hamper Greenwood too much.

Havertz and Sancho.

With the money left I would sign Alderweireld, Tierney and Rabiot.

AWB for £50 mill, James for £18 mill, Maddison for £50 mill, Bruno for £60 mill, Brooks for £40. Then with £100 mill warchest get a top CB, plus Kabak.

This kinda nails it.
The dream would be Sancho instead of Pepe and we're aight for next season.

If we don't sell anybody else there would be £40m left over from our supposed £100m budget after James and Wan Bissaka transfers plus the £225m=£265m.

Would like use to go for Issa Diop. Ndidi. Fernandes. Hirving Lozano. Ben Yedder. Would also like try for Rabiot but don't know what his situation is at the moment.

We need to buy someone to replace Matic. Anyone decent who can play in that position will do as would be an upgrade on Matic now.

Think we need a wow factor surprise, not one of the widely touted talents.

United fans get excited by these talents- rare as they are (Ronaldo, Giggs, sharpe) they are the ones we take to our hearts - although we will live anybplayer who comes in and shines- regardless of price and their history

Really hope ole has someone up his sleeve to inspire us all

So based on the £225m and some probably VERY optimistic valuations...

Longstaff (£20m)
Fernandes (£60m)
Ben Yedder (£35m - based on supposed release clause)
Maddison (£55m)
Maguire (£55m)

Sort out the right wing once and for all the following summer, along with the new goalkeeper when it looks like DDG will leave.

Fernandes, Ndombele, Rabiot, Firpo, Felix, De Ligt. We lose our best midfielder but get a very good complete midfield.

That would be our summer if we had Saudi royal family owning us. It’s a fantastic list by the way but you putting it forward now makes me think that you’re on crack.

I don't think it's that unrealistic tbh. Rabiot would be a free, Fernandes and Ndombele would account for 120-130m or so, Felix would be 80-100 and De Ligt is supposedly 60m. Firpo won't be anything more than 40-50.

With the sale of Pogba and Lukaku, assuming we get at least 200m for them, our outlay wouldn't be that large. It won't happen though, cause we are a fecking shit show of a club, still though, good to think about.

Rabiot is going to Juve. That Lyon kid is going to Spurs. That’s two targets we can’t get. Felix is away to Atletico. De Ligt is nailed on for Juve. I don’t know where you’ve been lad. And honestly, I’m not slagging you off. I’d rather know feck all about the market at the minute. But I’d suggest posting something a bit more tailored to our station at the minute.

Oh ya, I wasn't suggesting this can happen. I don't even think both of Lukaku and Pogba will be leaving. In a universe where that was the case though and had we not been ran by a bunch of clueless cnuts, that's how I would have liked to see us spend the money.

A more realistic list would be Koulibaly, Bale (or Dybala), Firpo.
