Is there a clause in his contract that states there is no interaction with Lingard, Rashford, Pogba & Lukaku Off-field?

So happy for this signing. Our procession from mediocrity begins!

^Looks like the kind of defender too fast for CFs so they just dive when they feel him just behind them. Thank God for VAR.
That is actually a really good point. It just annoys me that it wont matter if it is not a penalty. I hope VAR gets used more frequently, not only in situations directly leading to a goal.

I'm a little bit concerned about him going to ground as often as he does but you just have to hope that his timing continues to be spot on and that he didn't just have 12 lucky months of good timing which landed him this move. He is a very exiting player though and will strengthen us immediately, I'd say he'll be a good signing.

We still need a RW to help him and link up with him down the right side, I don’t know if James is that man or not yet but if AWB is playing RB with mata, Young or god forbid lingard ahead of him he will just end up like the rest of our useless defence.

I don’t normally watch YouTube highlight reels of transfer targets but since he has signed I watched one video. He does look good, and contrary to many people claiming Wan’s a defensive full back, I feel he can still grow quite a lot into a complete full back, improving his attacking game, without too many issues.

If Lukaku stays, I could see Lukaku playing off the right as a wide forward and forming a strong partnership with Wan.

Fingers crossed!

From reports he doesn't seem to be a lingard groupie type character, which I like.

Welcome AWB. Learn to have less fouls and you will be a Man Utd great in no time.

Please follow tradition. Score on your debut..

We need more Lingard types to piss off redcafe members. These past few weeks have cracked me up
Yes because having Lingard types has really helped us these last few seasons. Thankfully Aaron comes across as a dedicated pro not a child in a mans body.

Even if AWB doesn't thrive in attack, his excellent defensive stats should mean we concede fewer goals meaning we need to score fewer goals to win games. We need to tighten up defensively and I would take a season of 1-0 over us losing or drawing every 3rd game.

Agreed. A solid defence must come first.

A pretty Sikh United fan
Massive fan of this signing as we now have 2 extremely promising young right backs. We also need to bring in someone who is experienced and is a leader, someone who will set an example to the younger players. An experienced CB would be ideal, someone who leads by example on and off the pitch which is something we have lacked for years.

Call me ignorant, but I didn't know Crystal Palace fans disliked "Moan" Utd that much.
From my understanding, Crystal Palace's fanbase (at least those who go to the stadium) are pretty much against the whole modern football culture. Some even rooted for the club to not be promoted, as the Premier League rules are against standing up, singing sections etc. United, on the other hand, is the embodiment of that modern profit-oriented culture. Plus there's the Cantona incident — and we've beaten them in the 2016 FA Cup final, which they probably haven't forgotten yet.

I think it was more to do with Cantona incident. Used to read their forum, every other post was calling ManUtd wankers. If I'm not wrong they have dedicated thread just to call ManUtd wankers every day.

I'm glad we've signed him. He's a good defender. We're 1 top CB away from an excellent defence. Who will be our VVD.
