PES 6 gameplay has never been surpassed imo. Still playing it occasionally, with patched up 2019 teams, kits and all.
Hats off to you lad. Still playing it? I bet it’s still so much fun? I wish they could remake that game for the PS4. That would be something I’d buy!

Nice, played PES all the way in the early days but isn't Fifa still the better game at the moment? (I haven't played either in a few years) Anyway either way this is a nice partnership for the club.
Its the Fifa Ultimate team that has swept the market. PES was better before that

We all love United
Looks like PES will be getting my money this year. Anyway what happened to the collab between them and Barcelona? I swore i've them and their jerseys on the PES cover ever since four or five years ago

We're always good in PES, even during Moyes era.

In PES 2019 midfield of Pogba Matic Fred is OP.

Barcelona are still KONAMI's major partner.

Gameplay FIFA, graphics PES; that's always been the case imo..
This doesn’t even make sense. Half of the stuff that exists on Fifa now was ripped out of PES.

PES was miles ahead of FIFA in the gameplay department at the very least up until FIFA 13.

coincidentally (not really), I switched to FIFA with Fifa 14

Old Trafford will not feature at FIFA 20 it seems...

As a Fifa Fan this is bad news for me. Will not be the same to play the home games at a fake stadium with United.

OT and United will still be in FIFA, I'm not sure why people think they won't be. Suprisingly this doesn't look very good visually. It's all janky and weird.

Old Trafford WILL feature in Fifa.
EA have the PL license that includes all teams and,if they can be bothered to make them, stadiums.

People saying Fifa is a realistic football game...

I've not actually played PES, but jesus, I'd not want to if we class Fifa as realistic and superior
That claim is genuinely confusing the tits off me. I don't know what people are watching to come to the conclusion FIFA is realistic. I don't find it much fun nor in any way realistic.

PES is a lot of fun and in some ways is a lot more realistic, but even that has its limits.

PES 2019 is free on Game Pass on Xbox and I assume PC for anyone that's not tried it.

If OT isn't in Fifa 20 then so be it.How hard it will hit them, also not having the Camp Nou in the game, is up for debate.

To be honest, its these sort of deals that have constantly played against Konami over the years so I'm not going to feel sorry for EA here.:D

Does anyone play PES anymore? 10 years ago it was clearly the best one but everyone i know has FIFA now. Haven't played PES in a long but time but FIFA gameplay is anything but realistic; feels like a 3D version of Sensible Soccer at times.

PES is actually the better game, but it's audience is tiny compared to Fifa, the Konami servers are shit for online, and obviously it lacks licenses. If you just want to enjoy a quality offline football game with miles better gameplay and graphics PES is the game for you. If you want to play your mates or randomers online it's Fifa all the way.

All EA care about is FUT. The graphics are shit compared to what they could be given the technology, the offline modes go basically untouched every year, and the gameplay will undergo the tiniest of tweaks.

The whole licencing thing is ridiculous, I get that that FIFA and whoever make money off it, but it's allowed a monopoly to form which is not good for gamers.

So Barcelona and Nou Camp aren't in FIFA these days?

Feels like a strange move for United to go PES given the sales numbers and doubt Konami are paying much. I used to be a PES player on PS2, own all six games but never liked PES or FIFA on PS3/360/PS4. I check out the demos since 2006 but they just seem to lack the off the cuff nature of the PS2 era, maybe some coding magic intended or not.

Back to today, FIFA is an absolute Juggernaut of a game in sales and brand. I can't imagine it being beneficial not being in FIFA but feels apt for a once successful club to be moving to a once successful gaming franchise that try as it might just keeps slipping down the charts.

PES is vastly superior than FIFA on the most important thing - gameplay!

FIFA is kids, aged 10 to 20.

Us older dudes prefer playing the Real thing, not a simulation.

Yes, I've owned every FIFA from 10 to 19, passing, dribbling, shooting is far superior and realsitic. However, I haven't extensively played the newer PES's but i'm a FIFA guy through and through! PES graphics are excellent though..
I've had every FIFA for the last 10 years but PES has been better in every one of those years.

PES' issue is not the gameplay, it's the flakey (at best) online, lack of licences and awful UI.

This sort of thing happens on Fifa all the time too. Lost count the amount of times on my Levante career where some random Spanish player would take an awkward, spastic-like swipe at the ball and it goes flying into the top corner. And players regularly shoot with their weak side for no good reason
That word is frowned upon around here mate.

Don't forget the commentary. Jim Beglin constantly claiming the keeper has paid the ultimate price.

I still play PES 4 on PC, best football game ever made. Also play modern games but haven't found a better single player football game yet.

FIFA's passing, shooting & dribbling just feels smoother and more natural, maybe its just my preference but I never enjoyed PES as much..
Yes that's a very different feeling for me, PES is ahead in term of game play as I can "feel" the weight of the ball more, FIFA was less of that.

Have been FIFA since about 2007, but switched over to PES this year as it was going on PS network cheap, and its much much better gameplay than FIFA. The no kits & logos thing is a bit shit, but you can just download them & upload them from USB easily.

The season mode isnt too bad at all, online could be better though. The PES version of Ultimate team (Myclub) doesnt have a tap really on FUT. Hopefully they've improved on this for 2020.
What does this mean?

How can people say that PES has better graphics than FIFA? Not even close. Just look at the trailer, some of those animations look terrible.

I just hope they don't remove OT and the cup font from FIFA now because that would suck.

No. Just. No.
I have Fifa18, Fifa19 and PES18 and PES19 installed on my PS4. I have played Fifa for years until I started playing PES17 and upwards.
There is one thing you absolutely cannot claim to be superior in Fifa over PES and that's physics of the ball, players, passing and shooting. At least not in te latest versions of both games.

Fifa appeal is in its pick up and play ease of use. You can ping passes around like iniesta. PES takes a bit more thought to getting around the pitch and pinging passes like you do in Fifa you are likely to misplace one.

In PES the ball actually bobbles and bounces alot when performing passes. In Fifa the balls skids alot like a hockey puck on an ice rink. There is nothing realistic about that. Also in Fifa, the players have very little back lift when passing or sometimes shooting.

PES doesnt have licences but then again it doesnt need to because it simulates the game of football better than Fifa and that's where a football game should have its focus. On how it actually plays.
When even Fifa Esports players are getting fed up with the game then you know the series is in trou le and Konami has steadily been putting out great PES games for the last 5 years.

Its not long before people start to realise that licences and official kits are not everything in a football game.

It’s all opinion, I’ve always enjoyed FIFA a lot more, especially since it now has a Champions League mode too :). Also if we want to compare FIFA’s FUT to whatever PES’s version is, it’s not even a debate, its so insignificant that I don’t even know what it’s called!
