Yeah hope they set a precedent so that players all around the world take notice :)
This will be war and I'm loving it:lol:

Does Neymar really think he can pull any stunts with PSG? They don't care and also have a whole country supporting them financially. They'll sit him in the reserves and ruin his career without a second thought.

Coutinho, Griezmann, Neymar... all acted up prior to reported moves to Barcelona. I thought if they were signing Griezmann, they wouldn't be signing Neymar too but guess this indicates otherwise. Neymar, Griezmann, Messi would be an insane front three.
Dembele as well. A really weird coincidece that this happens with them so often, guess it's more than a club to players.

I would really, really love Barca to give up on him and PSG's owners to make an example of him and let him rot in reserves for the remaining years of his contract.

The image of the game can do without the likes of him.

Absolute idiot it would appear

I still don't see how he can leave unless the PSG owner is willing to take a big loss. Barca is not about to pay 200+ million and there's also injury concerns. He'll be 30 when he's free to go.

Neymar was at the Copa final yesterday which extended till early morning Monday GMT, How PSG expects him to be in training across continents

Seems PSG wants to lay down the law here but they look very petty doing it

I'm not convinced this comes from a will from Neymar to go on strike. He was supposed to be on holiday after the Copa and committed to obligations with his foundation this week but that was ruined by his injury. It would have usually been sensible for PSG to allow him to stay in Brasil but his ambiguous attitude this summer and the new policy to allow less privileges to star players made PSG decide otherwise, this also looks like a good tactical move.

Neymar now finds himself in a very difficult situation. His strategy of plausible deniability fell like a house of cards since he's at fault. He will be walking on eggshells to preserve his image and it will take massive amounts of dickriding to normalize things if he is to stay in Paris.

Rare case I actually have sympathy with Neymar here.

Even though he got injured and missed Copa we've seen many players get injured at major tournaments but stay with the squad until its conclusion. Given he was named in orginial squad does he still get a medal.

He was training with Brazil up to June 10th so surely he'd get about a month off and wouldn't have been expected back in Paris until middle of July.

Seems PSG had enough and trying to call him out but I'd say his extended mid winter breaks are much more of an issue than this.

Yh I actually think the club are messing him around a bit on this one. He's a circus player no doubt but I think he's been pissing them off for a while and this is the perfect excuse to make an example out of him. Pretty sure they want him out.

Realistically he's cost the club an insane amount of money and I'd say he's far less important to them than they are to him. No other club will go near him with his current wages. Plus he bring all this baggage.

A player getting called out by his own club on their official website is really special.

He should'nt be watching games on the other side of the world if he's due back in training the next day.

If he wanted an extra day off, ask the club.

Will be really interesting to see how this pans out. Too many stars have to align for a move to happen. I.e. Dembele/Coutinho wanting to go the other direction.

Coutinho is most definitely not getting games if Neymar does arrive and there's no space for him to play in a 3 man midfield either. If he's got any desire for regular game time, he'll be off. They can also sell Umtiti or Rakitic to fund it.

Wait a minute, didn't Neymar take Barca to court?
Cnut goes back to a place filled with cnuts, makes no difference if he had shat on Messi's head at one point either. Players demand to leave one minute, get their new contract, and next thing you know they're kissing the badge like nothing ever happened.

Doubt they'd get much for the pair, especially when clubs know they're desperate to sell. Pushing a player to market is never a good idea.

85% sure Neymar will still be with PSG for next season.

There's just too much rumors about Neymar to Barcelona and I think he clearly realizes going to PSG was a mistake. All of this combined with the fact that PSG don't care about keeping unhappy players anymore makes it seem quite likely he'll be gone.
Coutinho would easily fetch 70-100m in this market, Umtiti and Rakitic could also fetch something like 80-100 between the two of them depending on where they're sold.

That might very well be what they're worth but there's only a handful of clubs that can afford them. I can't see any of those clubs wanting them. Rakitic is 31.

Yeah imagine the bad press he would have got in Brazil if he fecked off home and didmt stay with the squad.

It is pretty amusing that the likes of Neymar and Pogba want out of their clubs but the super clubs like Madrid and Barca cant afford them.

Only feasible option for me is if Coutinho went the other way. Can’t see any club paying £70m for him.

Barca dont have the money to buy him and Griezmann. Plus wages.

They need to sell a lot of players and that wont happen, not for the prices they would want in such a small time. Maybe next year

If I were them I'd go for just Neymar, but then they have Dembele already and need Griezman to replace Suarez.. tough one.

If they do end up going for Neymar, that leaves Atletico a bit screwed. They've just spunked 120m euros on Joao Felix, which they''ve recouped already by selling Rodri and Lucas Herndandez, but they'll be left with Felix, Griezman and Morata.. at most only 2 of those will start.

Neymar would definitely be the better option IMO as there's no chance Suarez gets dropped so where do you play Greizzman? He could end up at PSG as well though.

It would be such a United transfer to go and blow that much money on Rakitic or Coutinho. As for the latter, I could definitely see PSG interested in him.

Didn't their Qatari owner say they only want players at the club who want to play for them or something along those lines?
I don’t know, that’s why I asked:) They’ve seemed waaaay too petty to let players go against their will up to this point.

Here's the quote :

"The players will have to assume their responsibilities even more than before," Al-Khelaifi told France Football in an interview.

"It must be completely different, they will have to do more, work more. They are not here to please themselves and if they do not agree, the doors are open. I do not want to have celebrity behaviour anymore. I have realised that changes were essential, otherwise, we're going nowhere." Although he wasn't named, there seems little doubt that Brazilian star Neymar was the chief target of Al-Khelaifi's blast.

Cheers! Might just be a good idea.
Think it'll end up being a good move for everybody involved. Barcelona get a huge upgrade on their left wing and PSG get rid off someone who doesn't seem interested in staying there and maybe a player in return.
