Neymar on the move?

Think it'll end up being a good move for everybody involved. Barcelona get a huge upgrade on their left wing and PSG get rid off someone who doesn't seem interested in staying there and maybe a player in return.
Yeah, I didn’t watch a lot of PSG last season, but imo, Neymar as the undisputed #1 isn’t going to result in a CL for them. They need a more effective approach to get more out of several players.

Also, from what we know, he seems downright unprofessional.

Scenes when Barca sign him and can’t afford Griezmann so he has to stay at Atletico and be public enemy number 1.

I hope both Neymar and Griezmann have to stay at their respective clubs and spend the next season rotting away on the reserves bench. Footballers have always had a penchant for being knobs, but those two have taken the twattery to a completely different level and deserve as many slices of humble pie as possible. Can't stand them and their childishness. Feck 'em both.

"Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer that suits everyone," Leonardo told Le Parisien . "But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy him or at what price. All this is not done in a day, that's for sure.

"It's clear to everyone [that Neymar wants to leave], but in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow another. It's amazing but it's like that.

"We talked with his entourage too. Everyone knows everything. The position is clear for all participants. But one thing is concrete today: he still has three years of contract with us and since we have not received an offer, we cannot discuss anything."

He added: "PSG wants to rely on players who want to stay and build something big. We do not need players who would do a favour for the club by staying here."
Although Leonardo confirmed informal talks with Barcelona about a potential deal, he said no offer has been made for the 27-year-old.

"We have not received any offers. But we had, it's true, very superficial contacts [with Barcelona]. They said they wanted to buy but we were not sellers.

"[Bartomeu] is the one saying it, but we did not see that Barcelona was really in a buyer position."
Yup, Neymar to Barca is definitely going to happen. Only a matter of time before they sell players and raise the money imo. Wonder where that leaves Griezmann though. There is no way Suarez gets dropped and playing all 4 of them isn't possible.

Maybe PSG can swap Neymar for Suarez and cash, whilst the latter might be OK with going to play with his national teammate Cavani.

It's a plausible theory but I don't know, to me the whole situation will become very complicated as PSG don't feck around with petulant players.

Why is he being linked only to Barcelona ? Surely other clubs are interested ?

Nobody is going to pay the required price and deal with the whole circus around Neymar. Bayern don't want players with such attitude, same goes for us.

Maybe a cheeky bid of 60 million from Juve? :D Ronaldo might have a problem with that though.

Juve would rather have Pogba it seems.

For a moment I thought Neymar would fit in well at City or Liverpool but they are so good already that almost nothing can improve them.

I think top clubs don't want Neymar because he is basically a certified w@nker. He'd probably have the respect for Messi at Barcelona and not act out as much, plus it seems the Catalans as a club share some of the same character traits as the Brazilian.

They were quite angry/disappointed when he left though

Let's not go overboard, both clubs would give a nutsack for a Neymar who's on his game if you ignore the financial aspect. The problem is a) he's ridiculously expensive (fee+wages) and b) his head isn't screwed on. Any sensible club would be wary of making such a huge investment for him.

The whole "I want my own team to be Ballon d'Or" propaganda from Neymar was just the equivalent of a kid who was crying for the newest and shiniest toys. Maybe he realized he was at the best club for it, just had to be patient. It's in PSG's interest to sell him and I think they see that now.

If Barca sign Griezmann and or Neymar then I hope that forces Real Madrid to react - 150 for Pogba.

Always seemed to me that PSG was a stop gap. In my opinion it seemed that he wanted to go to PSG to be the main man to get the Ballon D'Or but didn't anticipate the M'Bappe situation occurring, then go Madrid. I thought he didn't want to go straight from Barca to Real to make himself look really bad in the fans eyes. Doesn't seem as if Real want him so that backfired or my thinking may have been wrong.

Awesome player but wouldn't want him here. Sought out PSG in the first place but now he's sick of the vacation and wants out. Thanks for fecking the market up beyond repair you guys!

Didn't their Qatari owner say they only want players at the club who want to play for them or something along those lines?
Al Khelaifi isn't the owner, it's not a big deal but it somehow triggers me.

It would solve their FFP problems for awhile that's in itself a good reason to sell him. Though, he is their best player and they didn't build a team in the last 3 years, if he leaves on paper they will be relatively weak and they already sold the kids that showed promises.

Not so sure. It’s based on accounting profit/(loss) right? Not cash flow proceeds

Selling players and reducing the wage directly affects your accounting figures.

I think they see him as Suarez's replacement the season after next... whether he'd be happy playing second fiddle is a different matter but playing at PSG must be pretty dull except on European nights

it must be one or the other - cant imagine they could sign both plus de jong in the same summer (plus neto and emerson for another £35m or so)
I'm not sure who can actually afford Neymar though (assuming he wants wages similar to what he gets at PSG) - could see Barca prioritizing Griezman and hoping for a better deal on Neymar next year ...

I also dont think Athletico could keep Griezman now they have brought Felix could they?

I think he has been told that he is talented too many times that he becomes spoilt. I think Brazil worships him since he was a teenager.

He is a spoilt idiot but that never really interfered with his ability on the pitch. It's only injuries that stopped him, before his injury he was on 15 goals + 7 assists in 16 games and 5 goals and 2 assists in the CL groups including Liverpool and Napoli. On ability he is the best player in the world right now with Messi and Ronaldo on their last legs. Mbappe becoming better is just wishful thinking because Neymar is such a dick but Neymar is 2 tiers above Mbappe.

Also if he goes back to Barca he will have learned his lesson and tone back the clowning and play out of his mind to make amends, I have no doubt about it.

Depends if they sell for a profit or loss. Granted on the wage bill point
No, whether they make a profit or a loss on that particular transfer is irrelevant. What matters is that their overall balance for the current FFP period is in a better state.

His only option is China or the PSG bench seeing out his contract. Nobody will rightly touch him.
My friend, he is one of the best players in the World. Probably in the top 3.
I assure you that all the top clubs would consider him, for the right price.

It's entirely a matter of risk vs reward then, I guess any club who signs him will expect to win the champions league every year

Not a chance because;
1) He is injury-prone
2) He goes to visit his sister during the knockout stages

Wanted to leave Messi's shadow. Wasted 2 years and won what PSG would've won without him. Ruined his image in the eyes of many. And wants to go back to Messi's shadow? What an idiot.

Do you think he would move to a club without champions league football... Could you see him living in Manchester!
"No", to both.
He wants to go back to Barca (which is understandable).

I didn't like this prick from the second I saw his face back in like 2009, and I'm happy to see my snap judgment was in fact proven correct. Detestable player and odious off the pitch too.

Also, is it smart to run afoul of the Qataris? He'll end up at the World Cup in 2022... as a slave building their stadiums.
