i think wall is the worst and then its arguable.
This is pure fantasy but do you think that a team built around KAT, Covington and Westbrook would be competitive enough to justify the cost?

How long until KAT asks for a trade? Surely he's the next superstar to go unless the Wolves can pull something off.

I don't rate KAT that highly, he is good but I don't think he has it in him to win a championship.

At this point is he even a superstar? Maybe out of sight out of mind...but feels like he has regressed.

I think the market he's in definitely limits the star power. If he was in LA or Chicago or something he'd have a bigger profile. Having said that he's definitely a tier or two the absolute elite.

KAT regressed, in which way? He has improved both offensively and defensively, the only issue is that his teammates are mainly useless.

The amount of money wasted on Wiggins is crazy.
Not just Wiggins, you have Dieng contracts who is even crazier when you consider that Thibs also brought Gibson. Currently the Wolves have 40 something millions on two forgettable players.

Jerami Grant from OKC to Nuggets for next season's 1st round pick.

Absolute steal for Nuggets, getting a player that can play and guard both 3 and 4 positions, is a great cutter and he improved his 3pt shooting massively.

That basically confirms OKC are in rebuilding mode and Westbrook will likely be traded next. Miami?

Yeah, expecting them to offload both Adams and Flexbrook next. Dunno really there's talks about Miami but considering Miami's cap situation + Butlers desire to be the main man, I just can't see that happening.

Miami can send back some expirings and young players. They can make salaries match easily.

Not sure about chemistry with Butler either but they need some extra talent.

Aside from Knicks (who cannot match salaries before December) and Heat I don’t see a fit for Westbrook in the league. Nobody really needs him that much and his contract means you really, really give up any flexibility for the next 3 years if you trade for him.

They keep listing Detroit as a possibility on sports radio this morning. I don't know anything about their cap situation though.

Snell Jackson and a low contract like Whitehead makes it work. If they move Drummond they arent contenders anyway. I'd be happy to swap those above plus some seconds. Anything more and I'm not thrilled.

That Grant deal is so, so good for Denver. He is such an underrated player. Good, flexible defender with improved shooting.

Was pretty much going to say the same thing. Always been impressed with him when I’ve seen him play.

OKC definitely in rebuild mode now.

I may have called the Westbrook to Miami move too.

Utah 12/1 odds to win the title. Considering sticking a hundo on it. Take a longshot.

But what if Portland can catch a break or two along the way, like say an injury or two that opens the West wider come May?

40/1 on Portland

8/1 on Sixers best bet?

I don’t get why bookies think Utah are three times more likely than us to win. Conley and Bogdanovic are good acquisitions but we were better than them last season, our star is way better than anyone they have and our roster is stronger I think. We also have way more young fringe talent in Simons, Trent, Collins.

Sixers are good odds. Not sure about the fit though.

10-12 teams can genuinely win it next season. Both LA teams, Phila, Bucks, Jazz, Blazers, Rockets, Nuggets, Warriors will all fancy their chances. Nets (if KD returns for playoffs), Celtics, Pacers, maybe even Spurs aren’t without a chance or are a move away. If Heat get Westbrook and he’s at his best they could be a contender too with Butler to support him and one of the best coaches in the league.

I think there are 10-12 teams that might possibly end up with 50 wins but as of right now I can only see 4 teams who could win it all: Clippers, Lakers, Sixers, Bucks. If KD and Klay can come back before the playoffs and be close to or at what they were pre-injury I think you can add the Nets and Dubs to the list of possible winners.

He’s clumsy as feck though. I doubt he’ll be an NBA player. He’s unplayable on defense.

Not even as potential bench option you don't think? to lock up the paint with his height?

Nope. With three seconds rule he can't really stand like a pole, and his movement is just terrible. He will get a chance but I don't see him in the league in 2 years.

Apparently Bullock can’t play full season and Knicks are reworking that deal with him. In the meantime they are negotiating with Marcus Morris who is reconsidering his San Antonio commitment.

How many power forwards do they exactly want to have?

Ironic how Kawhi signing with the Clippers earned him the good graces and respect, for the most part, of the general NBA public and fans everywhere, except in the city he’ll be playing in.

That's almost identical to Kobe's poster on Steve Nash in the 2006 playoffs.

Fun fact: between them Magic and Knicks will have 87% of power forwards existing in the NBA signed under contract.

I knew it was coming but still sad to see him go. He's hinted for a while that he was going to retire but since it appears he's going to play on got to wish him well on whatever team he ends up on.

Kawhi signed 2+1 deal. Both him and George could opt out in 2021. The OKC end of that deal looks much better now.
