Agreed. I think Ole's making his assessment of Axel during the pre-season tour and will make a decision if he shows promise. He'll get minutes at United, I'm sure. Or if he goes on loan again it will need to be somewhere that he starts.
I've said it before but we saw the best of him along side Blind who had/has an excellent understanding of the game and in particular positional placing. With the right pairing their is a player there but without a true leader at the back his decision making and positioning are suspect.
Aye I quite like Romagnoli, he's a good player I think.
I've heard a bit about Romagnoli but not seen him play. Do you think they might swap him and do think he would he suit us please mate?

My thoughts exactly, haven't trusted him since he categorically stated we'd defo sign Sandro last summer.
That aside if there is any truth in it and its a matter of €5-€10m then just get it done as the sooner we can get our players integrated the better.

Duncan's info on United has dried up though and he usually puts a negative spin on everything. But in the past he's usually been good with Portuguese transfers so we'll see with this one.
I don't think they would swap him mate as I think he is better than Bailly. If I remember correctly he is the captain of the team too so quite an integral part for them. I think he's a good leader and in my opinion a good all-round defender that could have been a cracking signing if we went for him. Sadly I don't see that happening.
Just a considertion. Maybe if the had a specific role for Bailly and we offered them considerable cash mate.
Romagnoli is Milan's best player and captain. I would love him at United but he would cost an absolute fortune.

There was a thread on twitter somewhere that said that the brinksmanship on this might be due to Sporting needing cash and hoping they’ll drop the price later on in the window. Not sure how accurate it is, but might explain why Woody may not be in a rush to push this through.
