He’s kind of totally rubbish but pretty good at the same time.

Some of the stuff he did tonight was absurdly bad but he was hitting fantastic corners time and time again which was Holland’s biggest attacking weapon, well except for John Stones.

Say what you want, he worked his arse off. The last few matches for Holland he was also very good, which he wasnt today, but still, he was quite important with 2.5 assists.

He did a lot more tonight than just take good corners. Obviously, he was pretty awful when we had him but he’s clearly improved and it does look as though not being able to get the best out of him can be added to the long list of shit bits of management at this club over the last few years.

His finishing was absolutely appalling. He did put a shift in though.

Still I think static and all grandpa Huntelaar would have put in two.

That's the best I've seen him play.

Apart from that GOAT performance vs the part-time Danes, obviously.

He can strike a dead ball well and he runs around a lot. He's totally useless in open play though, unless it's against cannon fodder who let him have all the time he wants.

Could you imagine him at United and dropping a new video after losing to Pool or City. The fans would tear him to shreds, glad he isnt here at these times.

What a pillock, but I suspect we'll see more and more of the above from young footballers. They increasingly seem to view football as a means to fame and fortune as opposed to a sporting hobby - not really surprising considering the size of contracts nowadays.

It's only a matter of time before we see J Lingz & MC Beanz rap video drop isn't it?

I used to laugh at Memphis in the past, but the times have changed where footballers are footballers exclusively and waited for their careers to be over to do something else. A lot of footballers nowadays have something else going on, be it fashion, music or another business. I think it is here to stay and will get worse over the years/decades. I think if you win, you dont care too much, but if your club isnt in a great position and you have players spitting texts like Memphis here, then you feel like they dont give a feck, as long as the money and (online) fame comes in.

I don't think it's awful, not my sort but have seen worse.

Fair play he's got another way of making money, lucky guy being able to do what he wants, don't see it any different to those releasing their own clothes brands etc As fans we want to see them work 100% on their football and their downtime is spent sleeping or training but it's unrealistic, it's his choice and if it makes him happy so be it.

To be honest he had a good season with Lyon, what he does off the pitch his business, it looks like something he's into so fair play.

Andy Cole did similar while at Utd. Just worth adding that amongst the hate.

Going the Le'veon Bell route of making a music career then... honestly I dont dislike him at all, he has his view on how to live his life, the guy always respected United massively so you cant hate that. As a player he's at his level now anyway.

True, but he did it having just won the treble. Depay has won errrrr....feck all.
That’s irrelevant though. Footballer released a song, that’s the bottom line. Winning before is weak justification to validate whether it’s acceptable or not.

How do you know this is making money? Seems more like someone with money spending it to be able to do something like this.
