I'd rather sign Sancho than Maguire...score one more than the opposition!
What do you mean you'd rather sign one than the other? as if signing Maguire has anything to do with Sancho.

Do we have unlimited budget?
It's not worth continuing this discussion, it's been done to death. If we sign a player it's because we're financially able to do so without hampering our other plans, if we couldn't then we'd walk away from the deal.

If United want a new RW. It get to be beetween Sancho, Pepe, F.Chiesa Ziyech. Ziyech was really good for Ajax last season. But he had really good players that suit and help him. Like De Jong, Tadic and De Beek. So Ziyech to United and British football im not sure.

Then im go down to 3. Sancho, Federico Chiesa and N.Pepe.

In my world i would use Chiesa as a free nr.10. So it will be beetwen Sancho and Pepe. Right now i would pick Sancho, because i think he will suit few touches direct football more.

Sancho - Fernandes - Rice - Marial/James + Chiesa + Rashford/Martial

Any of Sancho, Chiesa, Pepe or Dembele would be great.

I prefer to pay 70m for Pepe/Chiesa than 70m for Maguire.

We still desperately need a RW. I reckon James will be on the left to compete with martial.
Agreed, plus I think we need someone like James who can come off the bench and make a big impact on tired legs.

Can we assume if we were to get Dybala and maybe even Fernandes as well we can put a nail in this one indefinitely?

You don’t do that to top talents like Sancho. City have ridiculous options in attack. No reason why we can’t have the same.

Dybala is better centrally, and Fernandes plays more in the middle of the park too. None of them is a specialist on the right.

Dybala would be to replace Lukaku and Fernandes more as an AM rather then part of the front 3, so i would say no.

This one will be next summer, if it happens. Liverpool, City and Chelsea will likely be in the mix for him no doubt.
Why weren't they in for him this summer?
Our right side still needs reinforced,

According to a journalist with ties close with Sanchos camp, he had agreed to the move, prior to our end of season collapse. Everything that came after that put him off, he apparently wants to move to a stable club where he'll be a first team starter, since we didn't get CL and we haven't got our shop in order then he won't move to us until that happens.

I think Chelsea will get him next summer unfortunately, especially if they get top 4.

Ok I'll pick on this one, I agree with what you say but realistically Dybala is a 10/support striker rather than an out and out no 9 so I can only see him working in a 4-2-3-1 (central in the 3) or a 4-4-2 diamond (where he's one of the 2) I really don't see how in either formation you fit Dybala + Fernandes + Sancho (unless Fernandes is a Pogba replacement then I guess it may work)

I reckon that a few clubs made contact and Dortmund basically told them pay *insert silly fee here* or get stuffed. Their squad is in a much better place than last year to compete for the title and they'll make it very hard for Bayern to get away. Sancho is playing excellently with them and has achieved everything apart from a title really - managed to become an England/Dortmund regular so there isn't any reason for him to move at this stage. It's a matter of when and not if he will move and I think it's going to be next summer. He will give them another year at least.

There is every reason for him to move at this stage. Firstly he will be playing regularly in the biggest club in England, secondly he will test himself in the hardest league in the world and lastly he will double or triple his wages.

If we persist with the 4-2-3-1 with Pogba deep, Bruno in the central 3 and Dybala floating from the right, I can’t see how we would get Sancho.

1. City are the biggest club in England right now in terms of player attractiveness.
2. Debatable. I'd tend to agree but he wouldn't get CL football at United which he has at Dortmund and that's a bigger test than the PL.
3. Doesn't need that at the moment, he has plenty of time to earn more money and not every player is money motivated.

Dortmund are a better side than United right now.

He can stay away if that’s the case. Silver spoon and all that without wanting to fight a cause

Ok I've figured it out 4-3-3

-------------De Gea-------------
AWB---Lindelof---Maguire?---Shaw
-Fernandes-McTominay-Pogba-
Sancho------Dybala------Rashford

Sorted :)

What, wanting to go to a team who will play you and provide a good working environment when you already have both those things at your current club? Just sounds like a sensible career choice to me, he's still learning plenty in Germany so he's no need to rush into anything.

This was my first thought and fear.

Rashford, Martial, Dybala and Sancho at the very least would all expect to start games. Then there’s Greenwood who could well join that group within a year or two. There’s no Origi or Shaqiri amongst them.

We also have the likes of Jesse who I’m not convinced that Ole isn’t too nice to sell.

If Pogba and Fernandes play like they usually do, that team would be absolutely battered. Great FM team though.
