What's your lowest point as a supporter since 2013?

I apologize for adding to the negativity that the transfer window has caused, but I'm genuinely curious what you all think about this.

Sir Alex left us on a high six years ago. Sure, most fans were uncertain of the future to varying degrees, but surely only opposition fans would have predicted the low points we've been to since then.

Can you pinpoint your darkest supporter moment since 2013?

Back to back 0-3's at home against L'pool and City? Sevilla? Anfield last year? Huddersfield & Cardiff collapses? The end of last season was probably the worst for me, as it was the first time I genuinely couldn't see how this could turn around anytime soon.

Last summer. I’d have cancelled the full season given the chance. All Mourinho wanted to do was tear the club down.

The Fulham game under Moyes remains the most farcical match post-Ferguson. Hilarious in hindsight.

I found Mourinho shitting on the club in his presser really low. Our boss openly downplaying our club and bigging up himself after a loss. Should have fired him there and then instead we let him self-sabotage the team next season.

The Everton performance last year, even the 6-1 didn’t sting as bad because at least there we got picked of while trying to fight back so it was the equivalent of going out on our shield, Everton game barely anybody tried.

So many. The run that led to Moyes’ sacking. The infamous Christmas 2015 run. Knocked out by Sevilla and the post-match interview. Mourinho’s inevitable meltdown. Don’t think I’ve felt quite so low though as after getting tonked 4-0 at Goodison, so I’ll vote for that.

Take your pick of pretty much anything under Moyes reign.

Last few months under Ole come pretty close though, and Mou shitting all over the club and players.

The Moyes tenure is always going to be on top for me.

There's been several results that have been hard to swallow, but the realization that the Sir Alex era was well and truly over, is always going to be the worst feeling.

  • Moyes whole season
  • LVG 0 goals at home in many matches (how is the english word for this? serie? streak? record?)
  • Lee Grant and Fred as marquee signings last summer
  • Everton result last season, never saw worst determination of united players

The fulham match under moyes is standout on the pitch.

Off the pitch. Last summer pre season, Jose basically saying he didn't have the players to do well and dismissing the youngsters as hopeless.

It was the exact opposite of what the club stands for.

Olympiakos was the toughest watch for me. Fulham a close second but that game got so farcical that I at least was able to laugh a little.

There's loads more games, and the general appointment of Jose, who I've always disliked, was another low point. To be honest, a lot of it is a blur because we've been so mundane that it hardly warrants too much emotion.

The PSG win this year was such a high, though. It finally felt like the club was back to creating magical moments but it soon died down again.

The end of the DiMaria season, then the Summer 2015/16 transfer window and the football that resulted from it. The football that whole season was so depressing, the signings terrible, the club so obviously continuing to move further in the wrong direction in style and personnel. This was the time when the club's identity was entirely lost IMO. Shirts were being slapped on players as if that alone would make them good enough. They weren't.

For me there was a few. 1) David Moyes saying we aspire to be like Liverpool. In my eyes, that was a sackable offence. 2) Mourinho talking after the Sevilla game saying how they had more pedigree and that Mourinho himself has been more successful in Europe than his employers at the time, Manchester United. 3) LVG falling to the floor during a game made me wince. A United manager should not be doing that. Stay on your feet and stay classy. Went down in my estimation there even though I am sure the CAF found that hilarious. Overall, the managers since Sir Alex have left a sour taste in my mouth. Ole hasn't slipped up yet and long may that continue.

It's hard to pick just one, they all represent the same thing. The entire last 6 years, apart from the odd few games here and there all felt the same. A club trying desperately to stumble across some kind of winning formula with no coherent plan. A team sliding further into the wilderness with each passing year, and yet we went into each season with the same porous defence, the same toothless attack, and a squad of players who either aren't good enough, are here solely for the money, or both. Frustratingly, that's the only sign of consistency for the entire era, as managers and players have come and gone as our revolving door policy saw us get more and more desperate and more and more trigger happy in a vain effort for quick-fix success. It's felt like one long groundhog day, but for us fans the only thing that has changed is the increasing realisation that this isn't just a blip.

Losing to City under Moyes on my birthday whilst at uni.

We were having a pre-drinks birthday party with that on in the background and everyone was taking the piss and making me drink more every time City had a chance or scored.

I was low anyway but that was the icing on the cake.

to be fair there has been a few. Fellaini's run against Bayern Munich. I think the lowest though was when Dithering Dave came out after a game and lauded about how may crosses we had put into the box or some nonsense. Stunk the place out.

The end of last season, because it succeeded a period where for the first time since SAF retired it really felt like the United of old again. To see it all come crashing down again was depressing.

I took a picture of the United 0 - 2 Cardiff scoreboard to document what I hope the low point will turn out to be. The final months under Ole last season have been far worse than anything Moyes did. Moyes was just such a fall after being champions the season before.

The capitulation at Anfield under Mourinho and the absolute collapse of our form under Solskjaer. I have become very much apathetic as a result, for the first couple of months after the season ended I wasn't even following football news.

Everton 4-0 last season. Far and away the worst performance I have ever seen from a Utd side. Ole saying after some of those players wouldnt be here next season and all of them are

The 1-0 loss at home to Southampton in 2016 under LvG. Was the brunt of a lot of fan frustration, drab performance on and off the pitch. You just knew things weren’t going to get better.

Where do you start?

I think personally the Sevilla result must be the main candidate.

When the roof of the stand leaked against City. It summed it all up really. The owners wont even improve the stadium, let alone the shit that was going on the pitch that day.

Either right before we fired Moyes (I was genuinely worried they wouldn't sack him just to fulfill the "stand by the manager" cry) or the end of last season where after we appointed Ole it's like everything just went completely downhill. Felt we'd be stuck with him for at least a season (I like the guy and want him to succeed but he really needs to manage better after the end of last season).

I think my lowest point is actually the negativity surrounding the club, starting with the press and then supporters picking up on things they have read to increase the black mood regardless of whether the stories are true or not. They get more outrageous as clicks and interest mean survival and funds. As a club we are very much in the firing line because interest is huge but it sometimes becomes very toxic.

I am not having a go at anyone for having an opinion and expressing their frustration at the club as that has happened for decades. It just seems the environment now lacks patience and sometimes it comes across as actually more aggressive and demanding. I know the world has changed and there is instant gratification and expectation. It is just over 25 years ago that you would have to save before buying or have a cooling off period whilst you write a letter of complaint but now the world can see instantly your thoughts and you can buy most things on credit.

Probably more importantly I became a fan 45 years ago because of the way we took young players with promise and developed them with a really good core of seasoned, experienced professionals. The exuberance of youth mixed with the solidity of experience and that takes time to bear fruit. My personal feeling is I wish there was less negativity, more unconditional support to our players and a great deal more patience.

I see a lot of short term memory here. How it can be anything but the Moyes era I find hard to fathom. We finished 7th that season, 8 points behind Everton. We lost 3-0 at home to both Liverpool and City just within a couple of days. To me that pain is far more intense than any pain felt after the defeats to Everton or Cardiff last season. Heck, with Ole we beat PSG 3-1 in Paris, and to me that is by far my greatest moment as a United supported since Fergie left.

This was a particular low. For me it's a toss up between 1. this; 2. The day that we confirmed we would sign Mourinho - a man I had always despised, and; 3. The middle of the Moyes season, when it became obvious how far it was possible to fall so quickly, and that the success of the club had very little resilience in the absence of Ferguson's brilliance.

I also think that the last 6 years were really bad and it is difficult for me to pick out "that" moment. One of the worst feelings I had was during that time when Mourinho was really asking to be sacked and we waited so long to finally kick him out. That was so annoying and shameful.
Honestly my current mood about the team, about Ole and the next season is changing day by day. I just hope we are getting two more quality players in and that we can kick on from that. I also hope, that Ole is proving me wrong as I am not really convinced about him. Especially when I am thinking about how the last season ended. So I think the moment now before the season starts is also a little bit dark

Probably last summer when Woodward briefed about the centre backs and Jose kicked off. You knew the season was a write-off & we were in trouble.

Moyes felt like a one-off season and we'd soon be back on top. Last summer felt like we might never get back on top and in fact could fall away for a long time.

Lowlights for me:
- Olympiakos first leg (Moyes season)
- 0-3 Liverpool at home (Moyes season)
- 0-2 vs Stoke (Van Gaal second season)
- Losing against West Ham on their last day at Upton Park (Van Gaal second season)
- Mourinho's press conference post Sevilla second leg
- Mourinho post Tottenham (3rd season)
