Deserved for Ramazani. Hes done well in the last 10 minutes with two great passes, and now that great finish. Great pass from Garner to put Ramazani in that dangerous position.

How can you not be impressed by this performance.

Williams Gomes and Laird fantastic.

Levitt and Garner good.

Ramizani has been okay too.

Both CB's also decent.
Not heard great things about Kovar but he kept of lot of potential goals out this match.

Be good for gomes to get 90 after not getting as much as we hoped in pre season

Have been impressed how the CBs have dealt with the big fecker Rotherham brought on up front. Looks twice their size, but hasn't bullied them at all.

Gomes just looks a level above in pretty much everything he does.

Will he be trusted though. The 3 game's after Chelsea would be perfect for him to get a couple of starts

We have played some very good football. Gomes can handle physicality, he should be trusted for first team.

It even feels like he’s purposely showing how he can hold bigger men off. I like a lot of these lads on show though, great experience for them. Still baffles me why we never entered this before.

Probably the best game I have seen from Gomes….he has been completely dominant

You wonder if he will play him in this competition, the Carabao Cup and then start putting him on the bench to start giving him time in the first team with a few starts. He definitely looks like he should be involved with the first team. It will depend how brave Ole is.

Ole, are you listening? You better keep Gomes glistening or else he’ll be gone in May. Walking in an Angel wonderland.

 Chong needs serious work on this.
If I didn't know any better I would say Chong would be one of the furthest away from first team football.

Laird and Gomes knocking on the door.

Agreed. Laird looks like a full on bloke.

Playing so well. So many runners and options for player in possession.

Gomes makes it look way too easy. He'd improve our first team right now.

Are you the ref?
I thought that we would run out of energy towards the end but quite the opposite, the lads are doing really well against a physically stronger side.

A quick player rating:

Kovar - 7 - several good saves and solid at crosses

Williams - 7 - good coming forward. Good pass for Laird for the first goal

Bernard - 6 - one of few who looked a bit shaky. Ok - but lost his man a few times

O'Connor - 7 - lost his man as well once - good at playing his way out of defense.

Laird - 8 - solid defensively and scored a great first goal

Chong - 7 - did 90% correct but missed too many chances. Should have got an assist when Mellor missed from 3 yards.

Garner - 7 - a couple of poor passes combined with quite a few good ones. Good but have been better

Levitt - 7 - hard-working and kept it simple. Came really close when his shot hit the post.

Gomes - 9 - MOTM - best ever game in a United-shirt ? Simply too good for Rotherham

Ramazani - 7 - anonymous before the break - came into life in the second. Scored a great goal.

Mellor - 6 - Works really hard, but United with Mellor rather than Greenwood is like day and night. Should have scored.

Gomes is such a joy to watch! This team (with current manager/without Sbraiga) with Greenwood would be like cheating!

Probably a good thing we didn't with Sbragia in charge.

Gutted to miss this for work. Sounds like it was tasty. If anyone finds highlights or better yet a full match video, drop me a PM?
