it must be 10m flat fee plus 15m if Everton win the double. On a serious note, I would rather sell Jones than Rojo although would be happy if both left today. Lindeloff, Maguire, Bailey, Tuanzabe and Smalling is enough to complete the season in my opinion. Hopefully someone will take Darmian soon.

Doubt it will be £25 million. Talksport said James McCarthy was going to Crystal Palace for £8 million, ended up being £3 million.

£25 million for a 29 year old who has played 18 games in two years is extraordinary.

That said, when given a run at centre half I don’t think Rojo is too bad. Not good enough, mind, but not awful by any means.

If he can stay fit (and all evidence suggests he can’t) he could do well at Everton.

Will be an incredibly good deal on our part. It's what happens when a club know you are desperate to fill a position and have been throwing money around. We had to pay top dollar for Maguire. Everton are going to struggle to find a CB in time now and they probably need two today realistically to get through the season. I suppose this is one good thing about being so close to Liverpool, he can be quickly driven down there and do his medical this afternoon

... Probably fail that medical though

Madness. This guy somehow gets away with a dozen dead certain red cards every season and that's despite barely getting 4-5 games. He won't survive VAR.

In fact I'm pretty sure he got away with one against Everton. Surely they must have seen that!?

One of the best CBs in the league and will be big miss. He was the leader of the defense and the main reason we conceded a lot last season was because of his injury.

(just incase someone from Everton is reading caf)

Agree. He was instrumental in that three-game winning run we had a couple of years ago. We have yet to reach that win number since.

He would be an amazing signing for Everton. Will bare-chestedly push them up a level.

If we could profitably hollow out the squad of expendables life could become good.

He’s a decent CB when he’s fit to be fair, but £25m is incredible business nonetheless.

Window closes in less than 5 hours, they only have Michael Keane, Mina and apparently Holgate at cb. As mad as Rojo is he will be their 2nd best cb. They are desperate so 25m seems right

Not a bad CB if he wasnt so injury prone and could cut out the crazy tackles.

Hopefully this and Lukaku get done today, then that just leaves Darmian, Sanchez, Mata and Matic from Deadwood FC to shift, we probably should move on another CB as well but given Bailly and Jones can't stay fit it's not likely to happen.

Who do you think we'll buy?
No idea, and it doesn't matter in this context.

The only way the money goes to Glazers is if they get dividends (which they do, for around 20m pounds per year). This ridiculous notion that the money is going to them when we don't spend big doesn't correspond to reality. As a publicly-traded company, it is mandatory for United to post balance sheets, and it is easy for everyone to obtain them. So, if the Glazers will get more money from United, we will know that cause it will be on the sheets.

Hmm, only 3 actual CBs. Perhaps they could do with Bailly or Jones for another £25m? :p

Given the Fellaini transfer in January, the net spend over the last two windows could be another 10m lower. Not exactly flexing its financial muscle in the transfer market.

25mil would be ridiculous but I hope we dont sell him. Our defenders get injured every week so we need all the backup we can get and the money wouldnt be invested in anything but Glazers wallets so I dont see the point.

Jones for 25m and throw in Bailly as a free, his contract is ending and option to extend is 2 years. Best get rid now or Ed is going to extend his contract.

Smallings injury record is fine , as is Axels they should be more than ok with the edition of Jones for his 14 annual games.
