Did you have the half and half shirt from Zlatan's first year with us ? That is the closest kit in recent memory that was as good a fit on me as this season's.
Gotcha, I did not have that kit. Last one I bought was the an authentic version of the blue kit with red accents (I think it was the same year as the half and half). Good to know, though.

I have got the replica home shirt this year and it is a much better fit than previous years, might be worth you going trying one on then get the cup print on that instead.

There doesn't seem to be much difference between the replica and the authentic kit this year, they both seem to have the same printed on badge.

Save you a few quid as well.
Cheers pal, but I much prefer the more breathable material of the authentic version, as I only really typically wear united shirts on holidays to warmer climes. If anyone knows how to get that authentic version but with the cup printing, give us a shout.

The online store at United direct has them mate. They have the cup printing of every player available

The United store only has the replica fan version, though. I'm wanting the more expensive authentic, player version (which is available from Adidas and Kitbag) - but with cup print, not Premier League print.

I got what you mean. They do have the cup print though if you can make do with the replica fan version. I do understand you want the authentic player version with it though. I seem to remember the online store do carry the authentic version of past season jerseys after it was launched. Maybe you can wait for a while and they will have it updated once they bring it in

Yep cup print on the replica one is easy enough to find. Cheers. Hopefully you're right - I've always kept an eye out for the authentic shirt but every season I've never seen it available on United Direct, only the replica version.

Seen the new away one in stores....it’s fecking grotesque.

Usually doesn’t look as bad in person or on the players but nope by far and away the worst kit I’ve ever seen us wear in over 30 years supporting.

Just got the new home shirt. It's very nice, but as a poster previously stated, it's slightly tighter than the previous shirts we've had. Especially the shoulder and sleeve areas. Might be good to know if anyone plans on ordering.

Also, does anyone have the shirt with the premier league badges? The badge I got is a flat, rubbery, printed on badge, and not in the same material as previous seasons. Quite disappointed with that.

Looking at the kits, and at some of the ones for other teams that adidas do, it seems that tight shoulders and arms are the vogue at the minute. The new Arsenal kit is the same. I'm not a fan of this style, personally. Shame, as they pretty good otherwise.

Well, the new 3rd kit isn't as bad as the abysmal away, but it's not great either. I think the 1999 kit will be my only purchase this year -- until the home kit goes on sale next spring.

To answer my own question from earlier re: the 1999 shirt. I got mine yesterday, and the fabric is modern. It just looks like the 1999 shirt on the outside, but breathes very well and feels super comfortable to wear. I don't have an original 1998/1999 shirt to compare to, but the fabric in my 2000-2001 shirt (the earliest I have) feels stifling and uncomfortable in comparison, so I would imagine they did just make the new 1999 shirt out of a modern performance fabric.

Overall the 1999 shirt is very nice. I love the collar, I love the zipper, I love the look. Very much recommended.

Is this the one off the official website, with no Umbro logo ?

I love that shirt but i cant bring myself to buy one without the logo on it, doesn't look right to me.

Sounds amazing. Might be my United gear purchase this year. Last year I snagged a training kit on sale, but something a little more "kit-like" would be nice.

I like it.

I want a white away shirt again, something similar to the 15/16 shirt.

Simple and nice, a white version of this seasons home kit would've been stellar.

The current home kit in white would have been perfect.

They missed the opportunity to make something like this beauty

Has anyone bought this shirt (the authentic version) from the Adidas website and personalised it? Just want to know whether they print in Premier League font or Cup Font as its not particularly clear, and obviously once I buy I can't return it. I'm wanting the Cup Font on this authentic shirt, Martial 9
It will be the Cup Font from the Adidas website. It shows you when you select a player.

Anyone bought the gold shirt? Wondering how the fit is, it looks a bit looser than the home shirt.

Any news on when the third kit is getting released ?
I live in Dubai and it’s already on sale here. I didn’t buy it because it looks a bit bland in my opinion. The away kit is a monstrosity though.

Cheers - I tried them but they screwed it up. They did this horrible JJB-style job where the letters were horrifically spaced out, so for anyone considering buying from the Adidas website - don't!

Reminds me too much off the LVG black/orange kit from 2015 I think. Not a bad shirt design but it gets a meh reaction from me. Have we had a black and red kit post SAF years?

I don't think we have, I have no idea why. I think this kit would look lovely if the orange was replaced with red, at least it'll be different to 2015.

The third kit is too similar to the LVG orange trimmed one and the last black kit.

I got the new away kit this time.

Fallen on our feet this season, really nice options. Not quite Arsenal level, but not far off.

What's the fit like man? You get the normal replica or the 'official' £100 one?

I thought it was awful at first but it looks class in person.

Martial and Shaw were absolute fire in this kit  even Memphis did pretty well wearing it! I forsee good things.

Hopefully we wear it more than the away shirt.

This seasons home kit reminds me of the one from the 06/07 season (maybe its just the badge) is that just me?

Just ordered both the away and 3rd kits. Gomes on the back of the away, and Greenwood on the back of the 3rd.

Job done.

What's Shaw on about the Lancaster Rose for? Surely he means Lancashire Rose.
Lancaster is the county town of Lancashire. The rose is the symbol of the House of Lancaster.

I thought everyone apart from me watched Game of Thrones these days?
