I'd go with Rashford, given he seems to be on penalties this year. Was there any talk of this being a permanent move or if it would be rotated?
Rashford mentioned in post match interview that there is no designated player on penalties and anyone of 3 or 4 could take them, in order to keep the opposition from preparing.

Quite alright first round... but I forgot to change Sterling to captain instead of Auba and I had Dunk on the bench who gave 11 points. But those misses are done almost every damn round since you don't expect them to keep a clean sheet.
79 points was fine

Can’t believe people are using their wildcards after one week. I’m tempted to take Kean out, which was a gamble anyway, but I feel like he might start after Everton couldn’t score in the last game.

I think it’s a hard week to judge and make transfers off the back of. It was definitely a high scoring week, but I’d at least give it till the international break to use a wildcard.

In the interview after the game he was asked about whether it was a permanent move and gave a kind of vague response about how he was just stepping up for it today, might be swapping around this season etc.

Didn’t expect that West Ham were so poor. And City meet Spurs. Reasons I didn’t have any City players. But things happen in. Usually not as expected. Same with Arsenal and Auba. No Ceballos and Pepe from the start. Reasons i had Auba, really goid attacking teammates. Frustrated. Will think twice with new players who just arrived before the first match. If you are not Maguire.

I left Zinchenko and Wan-Bissaka on the bench as I thought West Ham and Chelsea were likely to score, while putting Walker-Peters, Ake and Robertson in my first team as I thought three promoted side would struggle to score on the opening night. I even gave Robertson the captaincy as I thought it would have been easy 12 points + maybe an assist.

I chose Ederson to replace Alisson, better than Adrian as I can keep him whole season and won't need to use another transfer to get back a goalkeeper in the future. I want to downgrade Ake to a 4.0M defender, possibly downgrade Perez to 5.5M-6.0M midfielder and then get Aubameyang in for Firmino in 3 weeks.

I had such a bad week. I picked a few weird spots, and then left Eriksen and Kane on the bench as I forgot to make subs. 28 points.
I've used my wildcard and have a much better team now so hopefully I can kick on and undo my crapness

Chelsea hit the post two times. So United and F managers had the margins and luck on theirs side. United Chelsea match could be different, If Abraham hit the net instead of the post.
And i wasn’t sure how good United were, plus Wolves away next.BUT if i took the change of Chelsea factors. David Luiz to Arsenal and Rudiger out. And a young new and unsettled team. I might consider to choose Rashford ahead of Auba. Zouma and Christensen. One are french and one is danish. May haven’t played together before. Understanding and communication they will have problems. So i just totally forgot those factors. No top CBs abd a unsettle Chelsea. Then United were clear favorites before the match. So minus from me with that. And its always risk with new players. Auba didn’t had good enough support.

I don't want three players from any team... Yet... Now I've got AWB, Martial and Rashford... Should I drop one or take a chance and keep all three?
Well there's two questions to this post...

1) Why have you got 3 when you said you didn't want 3? Did someone else make the team for you?

2) Why would you want to drop any of them after they've all returned points?

Anyone see anything of the below? They seem to have had quiet games but don't want to judge based on one game... but do want to forward plan a little:

Ayoze Perez
Che Adams
Wilson

I’m delighted having gone with AWB, Martial and Rashford from the start. All will stay with me until the end of season, barring injuries.
Went with Dave AWB and Martial

So, do I drop AWB, Martial or Rashford...?
Personally I’m not sure I’d have two of our attackers, I went with Martial based on the fact that he’s listed as a midfielder but playing upfront. Our defence looks pretty solid, but I’m not convinced AWB will get assists going off yesterday alone.

Rashford mentioned that he's not the main penalty taker and there is 4 or 5 players to take penalties depending on circumstances.

My midfield three of Salah, Martial and Sterling came through. Kane up front too.

I've replaced Alisson with Ederson. Wanted Adrian initially but that would have required me to do more transfers in the future when Alisson is back, and Ederson I can keep for the whole season.

I think I'll downgrade Ake to Kelly and one of my midfielders (possibly Perez as I'm really fond of KDB, Martial, Barkley and Sigurdsson) with the intention of ugprading Firmino to Aubameyang in a couple of weeks. Firmino is fine to stay for now as Liverpool without Mane will have to distribute goals but eventualy I want him phased out and replaced by Auba.
Got Barkley as well. Think he will be dropped once Willian is back and Pulisic is more integrated. A number of good options with Lo Celso at £7.5m and Robinson at Sheffield for £5.5 who looked like a potential 10+ goals striker but listed as a midfielder.

Possibly but he will be playing for a while. Then between him and Mount, probably.

Robinson is a good shout. I don’t like Lo Celso at that price, not sure how advanced his role at Spurs is going to be. If Eriksen leaves I’m getting him though.

Pogba said he let Rashford have it, and Rashford said they're taking turns as well as others. According to Reddit anyway.

I guess nobody in here beat my 98 points. Could have been higher if i didn't opt for Vardy over Origi. leicester play chelsea this weekend also. Do you guys think vardy will get the job done or I should switch him for rashford. Vardy is 9.0 and rashy is 8.5.

Are you in the Redcafe league? About 20 people in there had 99 points or more.

Nowhere near perfect. They've always been hit and miss. Fplstatistics is far more reliable.

Having said that, FPL usually tweak their algorithms before every season. So could take a week or two before these price prediction sites pick up the correct trends and thresholds.
I’d agree with the latter. Ive been using FFS since it took off and I’ve never once missed a drop or a rise on any player but it’s my own experience I guess. I’ll give FPLStatistics a run out and see how it is.

Doesn't look like Sterling, or anyone, is rising now. Have they changed the parameters? Last season prices were changing all over the show. Very surprised considering the hauls and injuries.

They change the algorithms every year I think. One site I follow for expected price changes had Ederson and Sterling to rise last night - they didn’t, maybe that’s because of wildcards launched already (historically transfers on WC contributed less to price changes) or perhaps this year price changes will be slower and less wild than last year. We will know better in the upcoming weeks.

I'm not in the Caf league, but I did alright. I had Allison, so I've had to make an early substitution & changed him out for De Gea, as my back-up keeper is £4.0m fodder.

Going to be tempting to use my two transfers after gw2 to get Sterling in. But would have to downgrade Fraser to a 5m midfielder with good fixtures for gw4 and 5. Would still have King upfront to cover Bournemouths attack.

Considering it's looking like no rises, the temptation to use my wildcard to get Sterling in is subsiding. I still want the team I'd planned with it though. Probably Martial in for Fraser first, after the next game. Also looking at Ederson to Pope, Ake to Zinchenko. Would have to do Vardy to a 6m striker to make it all work though.

Would end up with this

Pope
Robinson VVD WanB Zinchenko
Salah Sterling KDB Martial
King Calvert-Lewin (or other 6m)

Obviously the striker being the weakest link. The rest seems top though.

My current team being
Ederson
Robinson VVD WanB Ake
Salah KDB Siggy Fraser
King Vardy

I'm lying, I'm still tempted.
