I have totally disregarded him as a Utd player. He still doesn't feel like a United player 18 months on.

Best possible update from Ole would be: “We have asked Alexis to pick up his dogs and leave immediately.”

No chance Sanchez plays. Mata might. Same back 4. R Ashford & Martial. Matic might make an appearance. An early goal would be fantastic

9:30 but it's embargoed until 10:00.
I was wondering how the feck journalists type everything so quickly when I watch PC and at the same time journalists tweet the quotes

So we spent the entirety of the post transfer window with people moaning about attacking depth and such yet at the same time the same people are screaming on top of their lungs how much they want an announcement of Sanchez leaving. So it's not even about weighting our options anymore and what approach is best to proceed with but rather just a chance to moan about players.

If that attacking depth is earning absolutely shit loads and has nothing to show for it, it's understandable that people want to be rid of him to help fix the wage structure destroyed by his arrival.

If anything people were moaning about the quality in attack, not necessarily the depth.

People couldn't wait for the chance to moan about not replacing Lukaku, Fellaini and Herrera despite the former 2 not being wanted by the very same people. They got their wish yet were still up complaining. Now with our window closed, already thin in attack the very same people who cry about replacing departing players(even if they were deemed crap) are shouting for Sanchez to be sold right now(so they can complain some more about being light in attack and not replacing departing players).

This to me sounds like people just love moaning and are looking for every chance to get outraged.

If you can show me that it was in fact the same posters then fine, but I doubt this is the case.

We are light in attack in some ways, without a target man to replace Lukaku for example, but Sanchez could go and probably not be missed.

He seems like a devise character, he costs a lot, and he'll limit opportunities for players who could reasonably do his job. I don't see what he offers at this point over Gomes for example.

I genuinely keep forgetting that Sanchez is our player until I see someone bring him up. He has been so disappointing.

Sanchez has been a non entity for the past season. he doesn't need replacing per se. Lukaku had game time under Ole and scored important goals. Similarly Herrera got game time and now we are looking light in midfield.

So to me, wanting Sanchez out can 100% coexist with being disappointed that Lukaku and Herrera weren't replaced.

How will we ever replace his 2 goals a season?

I'd rather sell him and give the bench spot to Chong/Gomes personally.

Mercenaries like Sanchez won't help us evolve in the future.

On facing Wolves
You always go into any game positive with the right intention thinking you’re gonna win again, and the last two visits there I feel like I’m going home been there so often lately! They were tough games and Wolves are a hard team to break down, defend deep, don’t give you a lot of spaces, they can counter attack, set pieces always dangerous, we’ve been looking at the games last season to see if there’s anything different to do this time but our form, our attitude and yeah the mood after the win is great so we go into the game confident.

Important week?
It’s a big period still for us, more or less pre-season, we’ve got a couple more weeks after this we can put loads of work on the training round and after international break I think it is too busy. Great week training the mood has been good and it’s been competitive, there were some players not involved and want to prove a point.

Is team fitter?
There is a big shift in different from the teams, Chelsea outran us quite a lot in April, now we’ve outran them, so that’s a good shift for us but it’s not just about fitness, fitness is important but a young team expect loads of energy but we also have quality.

Outgoings? Sanchez latest
Alexis is such a professional and he comes in working every single day really hard and wants to be a part of this. It’s these stories he’s been put in the reserves of course he hasn’t, he’s had three weeks now, he’s a few weeks behind the rest but close to being ready. Alexis we don’t have the biggest forward line in numbers so Alexis might end up playing a lot more games than you expect, we expect him to come good at this club, he’s quality.

Hopefully this is just the public line, privately I hope we are looking to move him on

Fred's chances
Your team will always play better if settled and have a good foundation and not conceding goals and good teams I played in we always had a strong base, a keeper, settled backline and we hope to provide that for our atttackers and midfielders and we believe Fred is going to have a big season as well.

Like a new signing

Maguire impact
He’s very level headed (ha!), just as composed off the pitch as on it, experienced a big presence around the place, smiling, a personality you like to have around and cool head at the back is important, defenders level headed and not emotionally affected is great for a manager and the team, he’s been very good to have around.

Mentioned his head thrice.

It's a manager trying to give one of his players some much needed confidence. And who knows, with our improved fitness and different tactical approach Sanchez might surprise.

Who could he be referring to?

Mentality? Mindset?
We’ve had a good pre-season, fitness is better, we’ve got a young team that will give us energy and then toward end of last season we were mentally tired now mentally fresh, I’m looking forward to the first hurdle, the resilience robustness, bouncing back when the going gets tough and I’m sure it will be on Monday, Wolves will give us a hard challenge, just as much a mental test, we’re in a good place at the moment and when you hit the first hurdle and obstacle you want to see the leaders, anyone can play well when you’re winning 3-0 or 4-0.

These points aren't mutually exclusive. You can believe a player isn't good enough and also want the team to get a better player in that position to replace them.

To claim otherwise is bizarre.

Did He hide below the chair? it seems to me like Ole was talking to him.

If we keep faith in Sanchez and IF he can stay fit. I think he will come good. This is based on nothing but sentiment, of course!
