Not really his local club, he's from Warrington (about 20 miles from Manchester) and played football in the Manchester area as a teenager (guess the standard was higher). But yeah, it's a great gesture.

But it's Lingard... So some will try their hardest to find a way to criticise.

Hats off to him. It's a nice thing to do.

Lingard always does stuff like this.

People might not like his antics on social media, but you can’t deny he’s a good guy.

When you said coats, my first thought was whether they had fur trim and his logo.

Good thing to do!!

Whalley Range could also be a good title for his next collection.

I dont know about negative, but its not like its a selfless gesture. Its your typical run of the mill "look at me, Im helping out the poor folks" stuff most "celebs" do. You dont think its funny that theres always someone there with a camera for all these selfless acts of kindness?

Does it matter though if someone is getting something they need? Fair play to the bloke.

True. But I'd rather have the "look at me giving to the poor folk" then nothing at all. In the end the kids or poor people get something.

It's advertising. It's his range. I mean fair play to him but this is business over philanthropy.

He's not gone out and bought their kit / equipment of their choosing, he's effectively sponsoring them and getting advertising in return.

It's 2019, almost everyone over the age of 12 is carrying a partially charged, high quality digital camera with them at all times.

I know right. What are the chances someone has a camera on them at all times.

Good to see a young player learning his craft and doing a good deed.

If he had more of his admirable charity and community work hit the news and less of filming teenagers masturbate with pillows, no one would have an issue.

He does plenty of good. But for a 27 year old I expect more maturity and a better group around him to control the message that he sends out to young admierers

'Conform...or else' is beaten into us from the time we start school - one should be suspicious of the demand for professional footballers to be role models... it's merely another effort to corporatise anyone who dares or has the talent to level-up to the rich. Another form of control, in other words.

Everything. This is to wash that away. Commonly referred to as a publicity stunt.
Lingard could save a baby from a burning house and people like you would be angry at him. It's honestly embarrassing that you get wound up by some fecking Instagram posts. Same for the losers on here who give out about what him.or Rashford is wearing.

They haven't killed anyone for God's sake.
