It’ll revert back to the usual 1 free transfer the following game week. This happens with the Free Chip and Wildcard.
Ah balls, hoped I could make the two changes I wanted this week and then make them again permanently next

Thoughts and advice on this wildcard:

Strong squad. a few pointers.

I would upgrade Button to a 4.5-5.0 starting GK to enable you to rotate or sub in incase one gets injured.

I'd suggest a 3-5-2. So Pukki and Barnes up top and rotate your defenders accordingly. Alternatively, bump down one of your premium defenders and upgrade one of your starting forwards. At this present moment, the top teams aren't keeping clean sheets so their defenders aren't justifying their 6.5mil plus prices.

Loving the midfield blend there. KDB and Sterling are a must.

Thoughts and advice on this wildcard:

Very strong. I know he's the top scoring defender currently but I'm not sure you need Van Aanholt as you'll give yourself a benching headache before long. Would take some of that money and upgrade VVD into one of TAA or Robertson. It won't be long before either of them hauls and there's a great chance of that in the next 2 fixtures in fact.

Basically with Daniels out long term I'd probably go...

PVA > Rico
VVD > TAA/Robertson
Mane > Salah

Interesting you both have opposite opinions on premium defenders, which is basically the same conundrum I went through.

I did have Robertson, VVD, Laporte and Zivchenko before I wildcarded, but the amount of money I've had in under performing defenders has basically been the sole cause for my slow start to the season. You just know the second I sell Robertson he's going to start racking up the points though... Likewise Pukki won't score another goal now he's in my team, so I'd recommend everyone else sell while his price is high.

Harry Wilson or Todd Cantwell for this gameweek?
Based on this game weeks fixtures, Cantwell. Based on the next 6 game week fixtures, Wilson. Only risk with Wilson is he's less guaranteed to start but he does take set pieces. Personally, I'd go for Cantwell. The price difference swings it for me.

What do you's make of Ceballos at Arsenal? My wild card team very similar to Sied's above but I have Ceballos instead of Cantwell. Wasn't sure if I could justify 2 Norwich attackers but at their price with their returns not sure it actually matters

OLD TEAM

Henderson
TAA Maguire Digne
Sigurdsson Martial KDB Tielemans
Kane Rashford King

Subs: Pope McGinn Hanley Kelly

NEW TEAM

Henderson
Lundstram Pieters Mings
Salah Sterling(C) KDB Cantwell McGinn
Aguero Haller

Subs: Pope Greenwood Dunk Kelly

Bank: 0.4m

Thought looooong and hard about this all week as I have to shoot up my league after giving it large during pre season. Beared the next 6 game weeks in mind too. I tried to ensure all 15 players actually play in order to rotate or they get points if they are automatically subbed in. Attacks win games so gone for a top heavy squad. I can see City outscoring Liverpool over course of season so as long as Pep doesn't get his Tinkerman on, those three are there to stay.

Would appreciate your feedback, brethrens.

Martial is probably 50/50 but I wont sub more this window as I've already subbed him in, and Greenwood will probably replace him if injured.

I'm thinking of not touching this team for a couple of weeks, unless an injury or replacement happens - Thinking of just sticking to Wilson, who has a good programme, instead of subbing in and out for a "flavour of the week"-type of player.

Ryan
Maguire - Digne - Van Dijk - Zinchenko - Lundstram
Salah - Sterling - De Bruyne - Martial - Jorginho
Wilson - Greenwood - Gallagher

Thoughts?

Martial is injured, if your willing to keep him until after the Internationals that's fair enough, but I'm swapping with DJ (James).

Would take Martial out but considering he's risen in price since I got him and we have a break after this gameweek might as well see if he makes it back for GW5.

Robertson down to £6.9m! The plan worked.

Defence is too weak. Take some money out of midfield.

Anyone want to rate my wildcard team?

GK: Pope, Button.

Defenders: Digne, Zinchenko, Emerson, Dunk and Lundstram

Midfield: Salah, Sterling, KdB, Lazani , Cantwell

Forwards: Pukki, Barnes, Abraham

Loving the all-attacking left footed defence.

Good shout with Lanzini, I wanted him in mine as I think he'll do well in the coming weeks. But it meant not having Aguero; nope.

2 solid dependable strikers who will always start and Tammy will bang in some when he does.

Only blot (and it's a small one), is Button. Ideally you want a backup GK who starts so you can rotate.

How much you got in the bank and who are you captaining this game week?

Already made the transfer this week, but tempted to Kane & Martial out for Salah & either Barnes or Abraham. The thing is I will want Martial back when fit though and that is only one match away.

I think Salah is likely essential.

-8 not worth it imo. Especially if you'll want him back. Do you not have a decent bench option for him? I'm playing Cantwell.

It’s great, very similar to mine.

I’m not sure on Abraham though and would upgrade to Haller if you can.

I tried to upgrade but I'm .3m short , only way I can think is dropping Barnes for Wesley and then upgrade to Haller ?

Sterling is my captain. It would be nice to upgrade Button but I just don't like rotating 4.5m keepers, constantly feel like a flip of a coin.

Tammy is a gamble, I'll see if he gets a full 90mins against Sheffield + a price rise so I can make a profit

No I would keep Barnes. I agree with the Mount / Haller suggestion - in fact I’d argue that Mount and Haller are better picks from Chelsea and West Ham respectively than Tammy / Lanzini.

Other option (which is what I’m considering) is to drop down to 5.5-6.0m in midfield with Ceballos or McGinn and then upgrade Zinchenko to Robertson.

With Mendy back in training Zinchenko is at risk of being dropped in a couple of gameweeks which isn’t ideal on a wildcard.

Mane or Salah for the next few weeks?
Really is a toss of a coin with those two. My only advice would be, pick one, and stick with him. Don't keep swapping if one blanks and the other one scores (assuming you can't afford both that is)

Me, I've gone with Salah

Who do I replace Martial with?
Could easily keep him.

He's back vs Leicester after the break.

If you do want to transfer there's plenty of options...

Mount? Cantwell? Lucas Moura? or his fellow team mate who is likely to start, James?

Under a tree.
Hopefully the United line up comes out just before 11.30am tomorrow, so know whether to go with Greenwood or not...

I have 6.5m to spend on a striker, have my eye on him or Ayew for this week..

Looking for the answers...
Martial and Jota I’m thinking of replacing with either

Mount and Haller or Madison and Pukki, thoughts?

Harry Wilson a better option?
