Yes and we didn't and have about a 60% chance of not doing this year. Which if we don't we lose more players and struggle to recruit again. Its ok though Jesse will bring his 98% off the ball, goal celebration videos and instagram account to encourage Sancho to join.

Number 7 shirt - that is definitely a sweet nothing, especially since Owen had it.

Champions League football and a settled manager is what it'll take.

100% this
They seem to forget that anyone who is English can feels intrinsically what a huge club United is, and what a nothing club City is behind the blood money funding it. Likewise they will have grown up seeing how shit Liverpool were, and seeing how quickly it can change.

We are by far the biggest club in the country, and amongst the three biggest in the world. It might sound arrogant, but it's not, it's a fact.

We are however not even amongst the top 12 or so best teams in Europe, which is the one thing we need to fix right now. As rocky as the road is, I believe we're slowly but surely on the way.

United will always be a massive draw, and even more so to English players.

I wonder, was his wage increase a reward for not kicking up a fuss last summer and staying put? If so, that would mean that clubs were definitely in for him, probably us included.

Although, it could also just be because he's now a key player and is paid accordingly.

Reality annoying ?
The point is you have no fecking clue what the reality is. It’s all stupid fan algorithm that you have applied to basically mean ‘if it were me, I wouldn’t join us’. Thankfully, we’re talking about a different person, who operates in a world in which we have probably only scratched the surface of in terms of knowing how things work from our bedrooms.

With Sanchez leaving surely if we get Sancho he gets the number 7 jersey? It would be perfect for him.

We can only hope that the long term courting of Sancho will help us in the future.

If we're still out of the top 4 and struggling it'll take a real leap of faith (and a huge wage).

I hope we give him 11. I'd rather 7 be a number that someone currently at the club can earn through performances instead of just being a hype device for new signings.

Perhaps the no 7 shirt means more to United fans than it does elite footballers. You mean same shirt Owen and Sanchez have owned of late. Why would he wanna Jack it all in for that.

I think he will only join us if we have Champions League football. Lets concentrate on that first.

How is it reality when it hasnt happened yet genius?
You mean like the last transfer-window?
These are the same kind of personally insulting posts which were against users that only said he ist'n gettable and based their words on arguments. Now its the same. Wake up. And btw: criticize the post not the poster.

Contract until 2022, just signed on for a wage increase but no change in length. I don't see him moving in January or Dortmund considering selling. I really hope we get him next summer but I've got a feeling he'll want to stay in Germany a bit longer since he's doing so well there and he's getting a good wage now.

Another assist.
His output is ridiculous. 15 goals and 21 assists in 39 league games is what you'd be expecting from an elite winger at the top of their game and not someone who isn't even 20 yet. Him and Mbappe are going to be the next Messi and Ronaldo in terms of numbers i reckon.

Mbappe has 63 goals and assists in 59 league games.

Sancho is no doubt a good player but if you're to determine the next Messi and Ronaldo sort of dominations, I would suspect it would be Felix and Mbappe.

Now we can only hope for us to win Europa or 4th place to make us an attractive proposition.

Qualifying for CL means we retain Pogba and sign Sancho. Massive pressure for the youngsters this season.

Next season's transfer budget is going to be very interesting.
Solskjaer has been promised the £74m from Lukaku sale, and I've little doubt that Pogba will be sold next Summer, which would raise a further £150m (?) and then our customary annual kitty, and Solskjaer could possibly have £300m to play with.

We'd have the money for a World record fee for Sancho, which is what it may take, but in my opinion it all boils down to this season's performances and results.
I just cannot imagine Sancho being interested in United unless we have top 4, and genuinely look like an exciting revolution is underway.

Sancho will have a cartload of offers on the table next Summer, and United have to ensure that theirs is the most attractive.
