Our shortsightedness knows no bounds. Bought on a whim when Martial was playing his best football; loaned out on a whim paying a portion of his wage whilst looking paper-thin in attack and with the transfer window closed.

Pathetic planning by the club.
Why club? Do you think that Ed decides what players need to stay or go. Ole decided that he doesn't need Alexis as he did with Lukaku and Fellaini. Only time will tell was this right or bad move.

This is kind of interesting situation. If he and Lukaku play well for Inter in UCL matches, then it will make Utd board and OGS look bad, but it will be easier to ship Sanchez out next summer. If he plays badly, then he will return to Utd collect his wages and sit on the bench.

Why would it make United look bad if he performs well in the champions league?
I hope he scores 20 goals and we get some money for him, it was clear it wasn't working here.
Much like with the Lukaku situation, a big weight off our shoulders.

If he plays well it changes nothing, he was terrible for Manutd, scored less goals than Chris Smalling in the league.

Hopefully he will play well so that it will be easier to offload him.

Feels like a weight off of our collective backs. Here's to hoping a permanent exit isn't far away.

All the best Alexis. Hope you do well enough to be sold next season.

Him and Lukaku will rip up the league, you'll see.

Thin squad aside... He goes into that category when you observe something for so long and still can't come up with the right words to explain it.

It is unbelievable how utterly shit he was for us.

Walter Crickmer started it all...
Not sure what the problem is.

He is not performing at our club and it looks as if his confidence is shot.

He is not in Solskjaer's plans because he is not performing. We can't play him...putting him on bench stops others getting a chance.

So it's an opportunity to sell. No one wants to buy (maybe because of wages) so a loan is is sensible for everyone.

With most cases the owning club pays part of the wages as general practice. It even happens with our youth players.

The players have all had their wages reduced significantly because of our failure to reach the Champions League, so paying Inter a chunk of money is neither here nor there.

If he does well we have options still at the end....keep him or sell him. If he doesn't, we need a Plan B when he returns.

That's next summer's problem.

Big gamble by Inter. They have to polish two turds into two diamonds...but you know how the sayin' goes, right: you can't polish a turd...etc

And Borussia and Barça are around the corner...

 this not for everyone bullshit needs to stop. feck off Inter
It's kinda hilarious isn't it  maybe they can continue and pick up the rest of our scraps. They should trademark "not for everyone" as their new slogan, incorporate it in Latin into their club crest.

Oh dear. The bloke on the Totally Football podcast who reviews Italian football was already forming the opinion that Inter were better with Sanchez up front than Lukaku.
I think it's true. Watched the whole game against Barcelona and they were impressive in transitions, Lukaku would have ruined half of their attacks for sure if he was playing.

the former Chelsea manager fielded questions about his decision not to involve Sanchez, and said: "You ask me about (Alexis) Sanchez, well in order to play the guys have to be fit. I am not crazy, I am neither an imbecile or someone who likes to hurt himself.

Thats going well then.....

He’s like the turd that won’t flush, guess we’re getting him back again in the summer

We’re never gonna get shot of him are we? Stuck paying his ridiculous wages until his contract ends. To think I was absolutely buzzing when we signed him, his rapid decline is so bizarre, up there with Torres and Kaka.

Deadwood = shifted. Nice one, United - I knew this guy would be back at OT in the summer. Who on earth is going to take him off our hands? Nobody, that's who.

Conte always seems seconds away from eating his tie and climbing the wallpaper.

Its not really tbh.

Players that rely a lot on physical edge like Alexis and Torres are always suspeptible to a big sudden decline, same happened with Essien, by the time he finished with us he was probably Championship level, if that.

With both Alexis and Torres they actually declined before their big moves but it was widely assumed it was because they were bored at clubs lacking ambition and both United and Chelsea respectively took the bait.

So basically he is not bothered to get fit, considering how angry Conte is. Surely that's unprofessionalism and we should be able to do something about that?

At least Kaka had the injury excuse, Torres contributed in the CL.

Sanchez has been awful in every way.

It seems crazy to think he was one of the best players in Europe a few years ago.
