We can't trust the Glazers will invest the money in the club though. We rarely sign above three players a window. Can't see us buying 2-3 top midfielders in one window
We need 1 or 2 already, If Pogba goes we will need a replacement for him also.

Exactly. Not only that, it would offset the fact we gave up two senior strikers (forget their form) since Paul was putting in goal and assist numbers that were enviable even for a decent striker!
Someone get on the fax to Ole.

I know yeah, Herrera went and we didn't replace him same with fellaini. Our whole midfield is a mess and it's being badly neglected by the club

Liked an instagram comment telling him to come to Madrid.

https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/..._come_to/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app

He’s an idiot, as far as I’m concerned. The world and his dog knows he’s going next year, why come out with this now, when the window is closed?
We won’t progress with selfish “star” players like this in this squad, it needs leaders not tarts who piss about every international window. There will be more shit to come from this clown and his circus before we play again.

Yup. I know he pings a good pass every 2.5 games, but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze anymore. He's disrespecting the club on an almost weekly basis now.

If we sell him next summer, he will only have one year left on his contract. So, I guess we won't be able to get that much for him.

Pogba is playing in a midfield of 2, which midfielder would you buy to play in that position?

If he had half the passion of the guy that wants him at Madrid he’d be great but his passion is all about pogba, emojis, twitter numbers, playing for Madrid and winning the ballon dor. Don’t think I’ve heard him talk about team trophies

That's why I was baffled when he said he was after a new challenge. You only say shit like that when you've completed your current one, and turning up for 3 months out of 9 doesn't count.

Don't think Pogba's future will be here after this season, so as long as we get 150 or so million and spend it on 2/3 top Midfielders I don't care where he goes.
Did people not take notice of this summer.

Selling Pogba for £150mil will not result in £150mil spent on multiple players.

I agree his future will not be at United but he will be replaced by a cheaper player, not a new midfield.

We all know he wants to leave. His problem is pretty much no big club values him as much as we do in terms of money, so we're both stuck with each other at the moment. Maybe next summer we'll drop his price if he ends up performing pretty bad this season. For the moment no big club values him at anything close to 160m, and let's be honest, he doesn't deserve such price anyway.

I think he has every right to leave. But agree, bit of a sour way to do so.

It's hard for me to not think back to the virus comments. Backing the player over manager never pans out. Yet Woody did it again.

I read FIFA next year will tell the clubs for how much they can buy Neymar, some rule I had no idea that existed-after 3 years if a player didn’t renew the contract FIFA will use some formula to calculate the value of that player, did Pogba renewed his contract since he moved from Italy?

He'll have 2 years on his contract, as we have the option for the extra year.

I cant see his future at United in any way.

I dont want his future with United in any way.

I hope he does not have a future with United in any way.

Nothing personal just looking for the good of the team.

Stop this crap. There's been zero evidence that he isn't committed to the team ever since he returned to training.
His brother just came out and made another statement that translates to "he knows he's stuck there this season so he will turn his focus to the rest of the year".

Seems he definitely has not had his focus on United til the window closed. And he isn't committed to any more time to us after the season ends.

Whether he wants to be here or not is completely irrelevant. if no one puts forth a respectable bid for him, then he can't leave. He can cry, beg, plead, kick, have his agent and brothers mouth off in press.. none of it means ANYTHING if the place he wants to go doesn't make a proper bid for him. Where I come from we call that "crapping where you eat". And since I have yet to read or hear about ANY Club making a proper bid for him I am to assume that they don't want him. If Real Madrid wanted Paul Pogba they would have been serious in their pursuit of him and actually bid the price we quoted them within the timeline we provided. Instead they spent 300 million on a lot of players NOT named Paul Pogba. and NO we wont sell him in Jan either. that would be stupid.

Play pogba in the bottom reserve team and if he still doesn't put his heart into the game just send him on his way. Biggest waste of space and money in the club's history.
The truth is Barcelona or real Madrid don't want any player who lacks team effort and can't string more than one good game in three. He must be a demoralising figure in the team.

All this but still he’s the only world class player we have and our best performer. But yes let’s blame Pogba like we always do.

Pogba doesn't want to be here and he will be off next summer, if Real or PSG come back in for him.

On the one hand - I can’t blame Pogba for wanting to leave...he’s sees the same lack of ambition and investment in the club from the owners we all moan about. On the other hand he needs to remember how much money he is being paid and be professional, and keep his mouth shut. He should be doing a de gea - keeping stum.

He’ll go to Madrid next summer for around 130-150 mil and we’ll buy Maddison for over 100 mil as his replacement.

Whatever will happen - the glazers will pocket the majority of the sale just like they did with the Ronaldo 80m and the Lukaku 70m. If Pogba goes we will net spend no more than 50m

How is he world class? World class players aren't as inconsistent nor do they have as many excuses as Paul gets.
He gets overran by Brightons and West Hams midfields for feck sake while KDB destroyed Germany in a lesser side.
We banked on Paul and he isn't consistent enough to have our side play through him. There's no evidence that points to the contrary.

Was Zidane word class? I’ve seen him get outrun in the champions league he didn’t run up and down like Roy Keane. I don’t remember him dragging Madrid to many titles or champions league finals after 2001. His heighest goal tally is about 5. Except for the flicks and how aesthetic he looked do you feel Zidane would play for this current United side and look better than Pogba?

If your answer is yes then you have a point if it’s no maybe you should stop moaning about a guy who is clearly at the right club at the wrong time. Us fans have too much egos backed up with 6 years of mediocrity. We’re like finished fighters still thinking we can knock out the champ. Judging players of expectations we use to have for a team that doesn’t live up to it.

yeah he's not world class. He has the ability to be but perhaps not the desire. His issue is inconsistency, and that's fine in the correct team, but he's our only creative source. If he's marked out of the game or can't be bothered, and both cases happen too often for us, we've nothing else. In teams like France and even Juve, he's not the main man, if he's having an off day other players pick up the slack. Too often an outrageous pass by him will mask a game were he was poor. We forget about the lack of fight from him, the countless holding on to the ball too long, wayward passes. I think he's a great player in a great team, right now we aren't a great team, far from it. Some players dominate games for 90 mins, Pogba will never be that type of player consistently. He'll continue to have great phases/passages in games then disappear. We've never surrounded him with the right personnel. Him and Matic in a mid 3 is a disaster. You either give Pogba a workhorse and another midfielder who can help in the creativity dept or get rid, as we will be forever in this cycle of disappointment at his unfilled ability. Personally I'd get rid for next season and totally rebuild that midfield. I've a feeling though that Zidane won't stick at Real, and I don't see too many other managers paying what we want for him. Real didn't when their manager clearly wanted him.

Sounds a bit like Gerrard for years.
Gerrard was pretty good at doing the business when everyone else was having the day off. The fact Pogba doesn't do pull of Roy of the Rovers stuff like Gerrard and Robson is one of the reasons he's so criticised.

Personally think it's a bad comparison. Put a younger David Silva in your team and no one would be criticising him for not doing it singlehandedly. They'd be talking about the team not doing well enough to make use of his ability. Pogba is not exactly silva but I do think he's somewhere in between a silva and your Gerrards and Robsons.
