He will when he learns not to dwell on the ball as much
He would be a great player if he just played the ball, countless times I was annoyed watching him and I don't even support Leicester. Just play the ball, stop holding onto it, stop going for glory, play the damn ball!

Both he and Tielemans were guilty of it last week

Yeah I always see it when I watch Leicester. It's deeply unfair to their teammates. They make a lung-busting run to get through on goal but the final pass never comes. Sometimes they take a long range shot instead of making a simple pass through on goal, hard to believe at times. Leicester play really good football and it deserves more goals than they're getting.

England manager obviously doesn't like him - Still no debut!
given he dropped Chilwell pretty much as soon as Rose could walk I'm not sure its Maddison he doesn't like

I'm not being completely serious before people react

I haven't seen Leicester other than Vs Chelsea so he could well have been incredible in the other games this season making this comment irrelevant but at Stamford Bridge I didn't like what I saw and I thought his MOTM vote was the definition of lazy voting.

He was given the freedom of Stamford Bridge in that second half and kept wasting attacks by playing the ball too late and/or not putting the right weight on the pass. We gave him the keys to the game without a fight in the second half and he still couldn't unlock us.

Really disappointing that he got zero minutes here. Especially when it was Barkley and Mount ahead of him.

I really want to see him playmaking and unleashing Kane, Sterling and Rashford/Sancho. That foursome could potentially damage any team in the world, imo.

Agreed, Southgate is full of shit. Still just picking players from the supposedly big sides. A midfield of Barkley, Rice and Henderson is so midtable, it wouldn’t look out of place at West Ham.

Brendan Rodgers accepts a move to Manchester United could be ‘too hard to turn down’ for James Maddison.

I’ve been fortunate that I’ve been at Liverpool where I understand the draw of that type of club,’ Rodgers said. ‘Liverpool and Manchester United are two of the biggest clubs by far. ‘There’s other great clubs, there’s big clubs, but those two, in terms of worldwide status, are above the other clubs. ‘There are other great clubs that are trying to catch them up but those two, in my experience, are a level above. ‘So whenever a player gets an opportunity to go to a club like that, to experience that type of pressure, that expectation – and of course there’ll be a financial side to it as well, let’s be real – that as a package in a short career is maybe something that is too hard to turn down. ‘I understand it, I get it.’

because some tosser most likely working for Sky asked him a question based on nothing in a press conference, Journalists are supposed to report on news not create it.
Literally happens all the time. See us w/ Pogba.

Relax - you'd no doubt get about 100m from us for him if we went after him.

Is what it is. I'm sure you wouldn't mind if it was associated with a player your team were interested in.
I wouldn't like it I think it's crass and unprofessional journalism, you kind of have to accept it in and around the transfer window but it's still September, 3 and a half months before the next transfer windows its completely pointless to ask about it now

I just find it boring, they could ask some relevant questions about Maddison, something like "Brendan why do you keep moving one of your best players out of position so he is less effective?" which would actually be of interest but instead they go down the Daily Star style of reporting

they'd cost you the best part of £200m you'd have to sell more than Pogba the way you've been run recently
200 million is doable for us without selling anyone. But we most likely will sell. It's just a question of wanting the players badly enough. Not much else stopping us from signing these unless City are interesting in Sancho and the other way round.

except he hasn't the only talk of Maddison to United have been from United fan blogs no reputable journalist has reported anything
Not sure what you're on about. He's named the two biggest clubs in his view and mentioned that it's hard for any player to turn them down. And this news is being reported everywhere now and in relation to us. You can remain defensive all you want for no reason.

 United fans blogs twisting the real story. So weird.

you wouldn't offer what it would take in January, it took you 2 months to offer what it took to get Maguire when you knew the price to begin with, in January, Maddison would cost double Maguire at least

Why would they ask him something only few thousands are interested to hear about? while they can ask him something that 600m people are interested to hear about.
