Whatever the category, this needs to be solved. I wouldn't expect most people to leave him outside of a top 30, so where except playmaker would they put him? Seems like a Nesta type of problem again.

TBF I completely forgot about Der Kaiser as I don't of him as a midfielder. On a historic note did he play midfield outside the 66' World Cup? But as Synco said we need to sort out where to put him

He doesn't. That's the main worry.
He played in midfield for the NT until 1970, so in two of his three world cups. For Bayern he switched to libero some years earlier. But he already appeared in the Ballon d'Or list in 1965 (Bayern's final Regionalliga season), and was a top 5 regular as a full- or part-time midfielder.
Somehow forgot about him, since he had already received his due earlier. Are people happy with him as a playmaker or should we include him in B2B as soon as possible?

Der Kaiser should really be DM/B2B not a playmaker. IIRC he became more of a playmaker when he settled in the libero role not when he still regularly in midfield

Overrated player IMO and had a relatively limited passing range to be considered a GOAT midfielder
Personally i think he was much better as a defender(think i had him in top 3 there), saying that even though he is around 20 mark he is only behind makelele as pure dms and thats by one spot.
Just realized Van Hanegem is blocked in B2B list as well. Doesn't make sense to me.

They are quite comparable. Kante was the best mid in the league for back to back league wins with different teams and had an outstanding world cup winning campaign. Essien maybe has a larger body of work but individually Kante impacts a team more overall.Just noticed who all have picked Kante in Top 30 do not have Essien and vice versa

yeah, as Physio said I noticed him in couple of the lists so far. To me if he's to be included he definitely needs to be in this category but can't find it in the eligible players.
Actually no. Synco said playmakers and me and Bepo said B2B. Then the discussion ended. I assumed people were happy with it as Der Kaiser then started to appear in the lists of posters
