But for every Mata and Rooney you have a Di Natale a Totti a Giggs(rare) or an Aguero who are doing and did well in there thirties. Not everyone is the same obviously but 25 years old is still young IMO.
Considering the average age of the squads are diving, I would guess not.

The Madrid rumors are very hot right now and many sites and journalists are reporting it. This would be a major gut punch if we lost him on the last day of the window.....

It may also explain why United were not able to purchase him - he was already in negotiation with Real Madrid. Very few professional football players would choose United over Madrid.

They are all quoting this tweet
While none of Real Madrid journalists/media outlets have reported anything about Bruno to Real Madrid tonight, so the story is most likely BS.

After Liverpool played Sporting pre-season Klopp commented how good Fernandez was. Said he was like playing against 3 players. That’s all the endorsement I need. That man has a serious eye for talent.

The economics of his agents must’ve been extortionate for no one to have agreed a deal.

He wasn't that great today actually, lost the ball too often and one of those led directly to a Serbia goal. Was ok but he hasn't shown his best level for Portugal yet.

I think it was a quiet game from him overall. Still he had 2 assists to show for his efforts but he can play much much better.

I also think that has to do with position he plays in the NT. He plays too far deep when its obvious he is better closer to goal.

William Carvalho looks better than him. Shining in portuguese league is easy.

William Carvalho also shined in Portuguese league:lol: a majority of top clubs has a player that played in the Portuguese league.

The Wolves team that you claimed would get second place in Serie A is composed of players who were bench warmers in the "easy Portuguese league".

How’s he been in the few league games this season? Do you think he’ll be able to come close to his season last year?

2 Goals and 4 assists so far. He has started very well but this season he will need to be next level for Sporing to get close to getting third. Our squad is shambolic and has managed to get worse from last season.

Results:
First 4 games of the season*

Maritimo 1-1 Sporting (Bruno Assist)
Sporting 2-1 Braga (Bruno goal)
Portimao 1-3 Sporting ( Bruno 3 assists)
Sporting 2-3 Rio Ave (Bruno goal)

Pretty common occurrence for Pogba that. I'll take the one that actually wants to play for us

Aaah man, I feel so bad about how your club has been able to falter so much. Is it just the state of the squad or do you need a full change of ownership (I mean we all know about the fans invading the training pitch a year or two ago)

Comes down to ownership at this point. We are run by a complete clown and our coach Keizer was even worse (he just got sacked. The squad was badly prepared and we only have 1 striker in the team. We signed fecking Bolasie and Jese rodriguez on loan which says it all.

We are levels behind Porto and Benfica after it looked like we were really heading in the right direction with BDC when he was president. We got into the CL 2 out of 4 years (should of been 3) and competed for the league 3x.

Sadly I feel like I will never get to see Sporting be league champions.

I want to see all 4 of them start at the same time. Cant remember Portugal having this much attacking talent since 04.

That really threw me off for a moment. That's a mix and match of U-21s and senior level appearances.
What do you mean? These are stats for club and country since the last season. All first team appearances.

What's the point of lumping club and country together like this? Are you trying to make Bruno's stats look better then they are?

He's done feck all at international level. What's he got 1 goal and 2 assists in 13 appearances or something?

If only his name was Bryan Fenton and played for someone like Watford, maybe the club would have signed him.

Aha! Ok I didn't see the small print. Thought it was just national team and was wondering how Ronaldo only scored 30 some goals

Ok so:

1. I didn't make these stats bleacher report did.

2. He just recently started playing for Portugal what kind of stats do you want him to have

3. Before the Nations league Bernardo Silva had always done feck all when he played for Portugal and then he found his groove.

4. Players take time to settle into a national team and he has 4 or 5 assists and 1 goal in 13 games. The performances will accompany the stats sooner rather than later.

These are stats my guy based on club and national team combined since the start of last season. Its not that deep.

Yep. It's so easy that Raul Jimenez was banging in 40 a season for Benfica and the likes of Neves and Boly were among the best in the division. Oh, wait ...

Seriously, obviously there's a big gap in quality between the PL and the Portuguese League. But considering the amount of successful exports from the league, dismissing a talent on the basis of playing there is insanity. And to act like it's some easy job to score 20 and assist 13 from midfield in any decent European league is even more ridiculous.

Seriously, some of the biggest talents in the world have come from that division, so why are you so desperate to play it down? It's been a fecking talent factory for the big 5 divisions for as long as I can remember.

No problem mate! Hopefully all 4 of them start tomorrow. I would like to see a different formation as Fernando Santos seems to be trying to play Bruno deeper and build the game up from the back but he is not that kind of player. Curious to see what the formation will be tomorrow.
