Anyone that can improve the players technical abilities through training.
Play football based on possession and a system not based on coincidents and individial moments.

OGS and his team is not competent enough regardless of the standard of players in the team.

If we could just employ a high quality manager that makes their teams play good in attack we would be getting top 4 easily, it is the one type of manager we have yet to have employed since fergie left, Moyes was just not the type of manager that should be near a top 4 premier league club as shown with his downward spiral, same with Solskjear who is nowhere near a good manager, van Gaal and Mourinho are cautious managers that favour wingers that track back over wingers that can open a defence.

I think even if we had a manager like Emery we would be fine for top 4, considering what he had to do in the market with limitations over the past two seasons with arsenal I'm sure he could have done better job with the type of money afforded to Mourinho and van Gaal to spend on players.

This is a distasteful thread. We should all be behind Ole and give him at least this season. Klopp and even Guardiola didnt transform their squads overnight.
Of course but reality is he’s already not far off the sack, bad result at the weekend and he’s probably favourite to be sacked next.

I’m desperate for him to turn it round but be shocked if he’s here in January let alone at the end of the season. The players aren’t good enough, he isn’t a top class manager or coach and Woodward and co are incompetent.

As you said even in better structures Pep and Klopp took time, we don’t have that and only thing club can and will do is sack the manager.

New managers are allowed to bring in new player, new coaching staff and apply new philosophies. You do know that right.
Do you honestly think that if a new manager was to come in, he would be backed in the window to implent his style? Ole was given 3 signinigs this summer whilst key outgoing players weren't replaced suitably. You do know this right? What a clown.

Feels like there's only a couple of managers that have the character to do it and they ain't coming.

Allegri. We need someone experienced and intelligent to fix things and get the most out of Paul Pogba. No offence to Ole but he's not a manager, let alone a PL quality manager. Some fans seriously underestimate just how sh*t we're right now, even though you just need to take a look at our last 15 results to understand.

Correct, it’s so utterly bizarre how many people think he’s an option. The desperation to keep people from the past at the club is weird, we need to move forward.
If we really have to he could be retained in an advisory capacity for player acquisitions but the whole "Ole for DoF" push sort of shows that despite the clamour for one fans don't really know what a DoF does. Either that or people are (wisely) trying to find a diplomatic middle ground for relieving him of his managerial duties

How many players did Klopp get in his first summer and how much did they cost?

.....like Ole but this thing is getting scary. Prem teams are smelling blood and this is the last league that you want to give teams hope. Sadly, I can see Ole gone even before Christmas as with the injuries, I wonder where the wins are going to come from.....

We allowed the two best managers in the world end up at our two biggest rivals.
I will never forget Ed briefing before the Wolfsburg game that we didn't want Pep and that LVG was the man.

Easily. Klopp did the same with fecking Caulker in defence,a clown FB and Mignolet at GK.

You get your playing style correct and we will get the right player later. As a coach, Ole has no idea what his style is.

You cant compare Klopp and Guardiola to Ole, they were both proven world class managers, winning major trophies before going to Liverpool and City.

You mean you haven't watched his Molde side and think he doesn't have a style, whether he can implement it with us is another issue but you're Ignorant.

I think Solskjaer will ultimately fail here.

However, there is no real prospect of him being sacked any time soon and (unlike some of our previous managers) he isn't actively polluting the team in a way that will hinder the next manager. So I think we just wait and see what happens.

When the time does come to appoint a new manager though, the basic principles should be that we don't want a defensive manager and we don't want someone who is past it. It also has to be accompanied by a change in structure at the club, else it will inevitably end in failure too.

So, think we got to start thinking about it. Poch will not come mid season.

I'd love Pochettino but it feels like while Woodward's still in charge it won't matter. There does seem to be a good generation of managers cropping up throughout Europe, so I don't think we're short of candidates. Nagelsmann and Marco Rose would be two interesting choices. It wouldn't shock me to see us play it "safe" and go for Allegri.

Poch or Allegri. I'm afraid it will be Southgate or someone like that...

We've got options. Ten Hag, Jardim, Luis Enrique and Allegri. Either of them would do nicely. Heck, maybe even give Poch a chance at the big time. We really need to make a move soon cause with each and every passing day we are heading in the wrong direction.

It doesn’t matter who is in charge while the Glazers are here. Might as well give it to Gary Neville.

Doesnt matter who the manager is if we dont sufficiently improve the squad and get ahead of the game rather then playing catch up every year and making the right signings a year too late. We needed a couple of midfielders last summer and once we sold Lukaku, needed an attacker. Didn't do any of this.

It hardly matters who the manager is with these players
Can we stop that narrative please ? Lampard with a similar set is doing wonders in their game play in 2 months. Ole has absolutely no clue on his style. He just thinks players running a lot and giving 100% will earn us wins. Even Moyes era was better than this. this is horror !

We're not even running a lot anymore. Or giving 100% for that matter...
