Under a tree.
It's early days in the PL but i really like how he sets up his team and the football he gets Norwich playing.

No doubt Spurs will be the one nabbing him if Poch were to leave....

An astute manager, both tactically and as a man manager.
Likes his team's to play a certain way, good expansive fast paced football with pace from the full backs.

I like him . If he can make them play like that with Godawfulrey then imagine some good players in his setup. Spurs his likely destination as Poch will be gone before Klopp.

I like him. Norwich were playing good football in the Championship and have continued their style in the Premier League, which is not only brave, but fantastic to also be able to carry it out.

Don't take this the wrong way, but why would he? :nervous:
Being the man to wake a sleeping giant would be very appealing.

Honestly thought Klopp was too good for you guys, luckily he likes being the underdog (yes I was very jealous he chose you)!

For sure. Julian Nagelsmann and Marco Rose being the two most interesting for me.

I'd think Dortmund will take a serious look at Farke, who the club know very well of course, if Lucien Favre fails to take the next step with BVB this season.

The person we really need from Norwich is Stuart Webber, the director of football.

Was at Huddersfield before Norwich and did a top job there too.

His philosophy is perfect for us and he's clearly good at his job.

World of difference in expectations. I don't see United gong for a Dof regardless of all the speculation, the finance guy isn't going to take a pay cut to benefit the club.

I don't think we'll go for him, I just think it would be a good appointment and he'd do really well here. There was a 90 minute interview with him posted in the director of football thread earlier this summer and he's seems perfect for us, yes we have higher expectations but he's clearly a capable guy.

In 2014 when we approached him whilst he was managing Dortmund and want to stay there. When he was unemployed, we have no reasons to go for Klopp again because at that time, LVG played better brand of football in second half of his first season, moving on to Oct or November when we were top of table. If we sack him before October for Klopp it would look so bad in front of fans and cause angrier around United community, I don’t think the board would take risk like this.

Farke was a good coach at our youth acadamy. Hope he got some sucess at Norwich.

Maybe, if Farke does good work at Norwich, but i think he will still be one level to low for our ambitions.
Nagelsmann is the real deal, i think he will be the best german coach in some years.
He outcoached Kovac last night, which is not difficult, but he shows tactical understanding since years and keeps improving. He got the most important two things which you need: tactical skills and the ability to motivate and control the mood in the lockerroom, communicating with different types of players.

I think Kloppp is the best in motivating, but got some lack of tactical variations at some point.
Favre might be a good tactitcian, but he is only mediocre at best when it comes to motivation, painfully shown last season for example.
Tuchel is a tactical genius, but is so worse in communicating with players and motivation.

Nagelsmann got it all.

United would have a bright future if you imagine these 3 points:
Woodward steps back, handling only financial and sponsor and mercandise things.
A decent DoF is installed, and that means: a whole new section, or office, dont know in english. Handling planing and creating the squad short mid and longterm, with a clear philosophy from top to bottom including the youth acadamy and scouting network (all this seems to not excist at United looking back all the years post SAF).
Hiring Nagelsmann and let him do his work.

Did not Nagelsmann operate with 4 different setups in the 4 first matches this season?

And yet we have OGS that is unable to make the team play on particular setup after 5 matches.

Klopp had been unemployed for about 5 months when he joined Liverpool.
That's irrelevant.

The point was, 'why would Farke take the reins at Utd?' I can only answer that in the same way as LVG did when asked the same. 'That's a stupid question.'

A coach who spent his whole career in the lower tiers of German football, then Dortmund's second team before joining a Championship side. A wonder why he might think Utd would be a downgrade, as was implied

Rose and Nagelsmann look like hot prospects currently. Rose I wanted to replace Mourinho.

Tell us more about him.I've heard positives but nothing more.
Coaching style etc
cheers
I actually wrote quite a few posts about him and shared various articles which shed light on his coaching mantra. His #2 Maric also plays a key role in implementing the main man's philosophy.

Rose is basically a very similar coach to Jurgen Klopp and sets his team up in a very similar way. Fast, dynamic, high octane football which reminds me in some ways of the high tempo football we played under Fergie.

Would take time to implement here but I think we're on the way there. Just need the right players, we have good ones that fit the system coming through and hope Rose would be tempted

I really hope it works for Ole, but if it doesn't, then someone like Rose coming to our club would be a very good fit. Because Ole is also trying to implement a very similar style IMO and the transition from a stylistic POV would be seamless.

Are people still in love with Rose? Thought he was the flavour of the month at some point last year?!!
He's not quite proved it for me so far. Don't think Mochengladbach was a good move for him, mid table beckons.

Huh? He's still very young and his Salzburg team was fantastic. 4 games in and they've only lost to Leipzig who are top and unbeaten.
