My sources are telling me he will sign a 5 year contract extension and get the 10 shirt from Hazard.

Huge show of faith considering the injury.
Then they have to wait for Hazard's transfer to Real to be announced before announcing his new contract.

Excellent, hope that is true.

Going to be youth team Chelsea next season with the transfer ban....

I’m no ITK but my mate works for Chelsea in the media team and said CHO is 100% signing a new deal but they are waiting for Hazard to leave to announce it, basically to spin positivity.

Added @MUFC OK to the ITK list in the mod forum. If it doesn't check out...
We can all just wait until things are specifically announced, I know he is signing a new deal. If I merely stated ‘he’s signing a new deal with Chelsea to be announced after hazard leaves’ people would also take issue.

I'm kidding. I'm not even allowed in the mod forum. It sounded like a thing that might be there though.

To be fair, I said I’m not an ITK, then came out with a typical ITK statement so it’s fair game  Also, I have no leads on any other transfers/contract renewals.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
Made his comeback in the 23s, must be a record recovery for an achilles in football, any chavs watch the game, what was his pace like?

He played 60 mins. A few really quick short bursts of pace that had me wincing at the thought of him pulling up (but he didn't). He looked great all things considered.

Cheers, hope he can come back to what he was physically. Always thought he could be a key player for England.

Not been officially announced but almost all the Chelsea "ITK"s agree it's done and just waiting on a good time to announce.
Good news for you guys, from nothing since Terry you've got a fair amount of youngsters coming through.

Good news for Chelsea that.

Surprised he has recovered from his injury so quickly too.

When do we think he will start getting minutes for the first team again?

Also, do we think Bayern will now admit defeat with this one?

Might not be the same player post injury. Bet he's delighted to get a mega money new deal to secure his future. Risky this.

How is it risky? 120k per week for 5 years is £31million which is nothing in todays transfer market. A no brainer for both parties. Great bit of business.

He signed a 120k week contract? He should fire his agent, unless that is of course without a signing bonus? (Haven't read the article)

Why? He's played barely any first team football. I imagine there'll be performance related clauses as well and if he does well it'll be reviewed in a couple of years and he'll get a bump.

Bayern were offering Chelsea 30m a year ago, and he was 3 months away from being able to negotiate with other teams, who no doubt would be willing to give him a hefty signing on fee - first team football doesn't mean much when your current club are rejecting big money for you.

Was just my 2 cents, Lingard is on that money.

18 year old, 120k/week and not even 1 season of regular football for Chelsea. Well done kid and you have a good agent. Vardy in comparison is only on 140k/week.

Only 140k a week. I'm surprised some of these football players can afford food.

Sometimes I wonder if most of you do watch youth football or at least read some quality insights. There are no youth players at the moment in the English academies like Hudson Odoi and Jadon Sancho no matter how much you like to overhype others. Remember a few years back all the talk on Andreas Pereira, it seemed to me this forum was the only place people would rate him, because outside of it nobody would and it turned out to be true that he is just an average one. The way United fans overhyped him you would think he is the next Neymar, when the truth was that a few years ago he could not even play as a regular for Brazil at the U20 WC.

Now there is Chong, Gomes, Greenwood etc. Go back some pages in the Chong thread and you'd think football is yet to see a footballer of such quality. Roll over time and today he is nothing more than Lukaku with big hair on the wing.

Hudson Odoi deserves that money because he is a superstar in the making and the best young player in English football. Sancho is ahead of him in development and nothing more.

I get the argument he was about to leave for free to Bayern so give the kid what he wants to stay, but £120k when he's yet to do anything in the PL and is injured seems a bit crazy. Specially when there's talk of Greenwood getting a bumper deal worth £25k p/w and he's done just as much as Hudson has. Kids getting too much too soon imo (yes, showing my middle age)

Glad he's signed. Also glad that the whole manager thing has turned out the way it has, despite my not wanting Sarri to leave. Now it feels like a real change in the club, and ironically after all these years of kids not getting their chance, we now have a team full of the little blighters.
