Does anyone doubt his ability to score? Fine goalscorer, if mostly against lower level teams, very average footballer who makes it harder for everyone else around him to excel. So his goals against a lowered potential attacking level of the whole becomes the question.

Your opinion of him in a United shirt does not change his goal scoring record in England. What a weak response.
I’m not saying he doesn’t. I’m saying I don’t think he’d have scored that here. It’s not a crazy thing to say yet it’s been attacked by those on a vendetta.
You don’t have to disagree like that you know?

You are saying he wouldn't score it in England because you are attempting to water down his contribution. There is no logic behind it as has been shown by a number of posters. Don't claim people have a vendetta when it's you that made the initial post with an agenda.

My opinion, based on how many chances he's missed around the 6 yard box under a little bit more pressure in the PL.

I don't care if you agree, I'm not interested in making you do so. I don't know why you're trying to make out like I'm wrong on an opinion like this :houllier:

He has also scored goals under pressure in the PL :houllier:. Your points are nonsense.

Now here come the people who don't want to talk about the actual points but instead try to attack me. It's ok, there will be a day where Lukaku doesn't score and you can call him a donkey again.
The man is a donkey even on days he scores. If Conte likes that kind of striker, then it'll work well for him and them but wow, I'm glad I don't have to watch him misplace pass after pass for us while he points at everything and everyone around him.

Well I guess like myself, Conte likes goals and winning games.

It's a simple assumption based on past experience of watching him in the PL. It's really a nothing point to talk about yet you really want to have your way. No one cares about your opinion at this point.

If he likes winning and playing ugly, then fair enough, he's got a striker who will get him goals against a lot of shit teams and a striker who'll go missing when needed like he did midweek. I personally don't think the service at Inter, either from midfield or the full backs is good enough to be able to carry a striker like Lukaku who has zero linkup play and passing ability but maybe I'll be proven wrong over the season and they'll give him better service.

I don't think he has zero link up play and passing ability but if that's your opinion, fair enough. I also think Inter may fall short in terms of service and creativity but we'll see.

Oh yes. He never scored goals like that in the PL
He wouldn't score those goals in Italy.

Obviously "zero" is an exaggeration but it's pretty poor imo and the way to mask his shortcomings is to either have great service or have a striker partner who'll score a lot of goals himself. I don't see either happening at Inter. I've watched every Inter game this season and I've just not seen enough creativity in this team. I like Sensi but I think the service from the full backs is rubbish.

Ergh, I'm saying I don't think he'd have had that easy a header here. I really don't care to change anyone's mind. It's a totally subjective point, yet some can't handle it.

And i'm saying the evidence says you're wrong. He's literally scored exactly the same goal, multiple times, in his first season at United alone

Imho the header at 00.30 in that video was easier than today's goal.

Matuidi scored an open header 3 days ago against Atletico. You can see that kind of goal at any level

And he's literally missed easier chances. Your evidence is based on what you think would happen under these circumstances, like mine. Just accept it whether you agree or not you loon.

With how weak the defending is in Italy, he'll score a load. For Inter, he's maybe even worth the money as he'll keep them in the CL places.

Your point makes no sense :houllier::houllier::houllier:

My point is based on the fact that he has scored exactly the same goal, again and again and again, in the PL. To assume that he somehow would have missed it in the PL because he's missed easier chances is...i dunno :houllier:

It's like saying open ocean water isn't blue because you've seen it being green on the coast

Sure he's going to score once in a while - big deal.
Limited player and annoying media presence on top of that. Getting rid of him will always remain the correct decision.

To the brainless. Now give it a rest with your over use of emojis. You come across as the kind of dick that is impossible to talk with, and therefore shouldn't be on the forum.

40 goals in 90 games we would kill for that now
Not talking about his goalscoring record. Talking about chances I've seen and PL defending, and a theoretical situation.

A theoretical situation that happened several times with exactly the same results. Which makes it very much not a theoretical situation at all

And we also saw many times where he fecked it up from yards out. It could go either way, but I'd suggest with a bit more pressure on him in the PL it would have gone a certain way. You don't need to agree. Stop trying to make someone agree with your assumption. I'm not trying to get anyone to agree with mine.

Sorry pal, you're the one in the wrong here. You said Lukakau would never score a goal in the PL like that. He then showed you proof that Lukaku already did. You're in the wrong here. Just own up to it.

No I didn't. I said I don't think he'd have scored it because I think he'd have more pressure on him. There's also plenty of proof of times he's fluffed headers from yards out, so consider that, pal.

I'm not saying he 100% wouldn't have scored it. Feck me, the people on here sometimes.

You are wrong though because clearly there are instances of similar defending in the PL. You are acting like such defending does not occur in the PL which is completely false.

There is proof of every striker missing chances as well so that doesn't make your point stronger.

Saying he wouldn't score that goal in the PL because that defending does not happen in the PL is WRONG.

The defending isn't that weak in Italy.

This is exactly why Inter were willing to spend that kind of money, he isn't the type to make a big impact in big games regularly as much, but he'll get them top 4 easily.

Why do anonymous people have such a hard time admitting they are wrong on the internet?
Imagine thinking there's a right or wrong on a subjective opinion in a theoretical situation, based on as much evidence as the counter argument.

I have no idea what you're attempting to say and I have a feeling you don't either.

As an aside, opinions may not be right or wrong, but they can sure as hell be absurd and mocked.

Hardly absurd

And if you can't understand, that's on you. It's really obvious.
