I want to personally thank Varandas and the 71% on your fantastic job of destroying 4 years of work in 1 year.

Godinho 2.0 and these stupid fecks are killing my club! Run this piece of shit out of the club DAMMIT!!

How the feck! Do you start the season with ZERO strikers!! You have 1 striker in the club who last season was in the second division! You sign a 20 year old winger on loan from Shaktar but then loan Matheus Perreira? What sense does that make! You bring in Jese who truly might be worse then diaby this guy is fecking terrible. You keep a coach who clearly was not the man for the job and let him prepare a whole pre season only to realize after 1 game he ain’t good enough. Then instead of getting a fecking coach you keep the U-23 coach to “give him a chance” ???!!!! I refuse to believe someone could be this fecking stupid.

5-0 loss to Benfica, winless in the last 4 games, outplayed by famalicao all in 1 month. This team without Bruno has ZERO ideas on a pitch. I have never seen someone so dependent on a player in my life.

Coates WHO I SAID TO SELL in the summer has this fantastic record in his last 3 games...are you ready? Here I go. 3 penalties committed and a red card in game 1. Own goal vs PSV in game 2. Own goal tonight to lose us the game.

Run this fecking president out the club! We need elections now!!!! This is in fecking believable

Who are Famalicao and how are they top?
They are a small team and their start of season has been fantastic, but they are now owned by the same investor's group that owns Atlético Madrid. Idan Ofer, a pal of Jorge Mendes is leading the investment. Don't be surprised to see them in the Europa League in the next couple of seasons.

Good grief. With the amount of lunacy written on the Bernardo Silva thread I forgot this incompetents would play. Another own goal, another defeat, another day at the office.

At least the handball and futsal team are great to watch, hope these idiots get relegated. Feck off.

Wait  now I checked the lineup and we played with a midfield based on Miguel Luis/Battaglia/Doumbia and Wendel? And we have half the number of points than the new Mendes boys?:lol::lol:

A midfielder worthy of starting for Setúbal. I can see 3 players from fama starting for us and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about that.

I arrived at home and didn’t know we would play, my last game on the stadium was that one of the 3 Coates penalty’s. Checked the stats on sofascore and we had 40% ball possession against Famalicão? At home? :houllier:

Anyway if you want to relax we have 2 great coaches on the futsal and handball team. Regarding this idiots it’s sad that even being shit we won’t be relegated, sad that we don’t play in England.

Let this Lisbon elitist idiots have the club they always wanted. Defeat with class, being shit with stile. Defeat is part of the game, what matters is to compete.

I already did my job insulting Varandas, Coates and everyone else on Sporting Forum. It’s ridiculous there are Coates apologists by the BDC supporters only because he isn’t a Varandas signing. Fed up with this moronic attitude we have in the club to put players above the club, his performances have been deplorable, even if the coaches are shit. Wtf was Leonel doing to take Vietto off the pitch after scoring a goal? Jesus this club is made of idiots!!!

Coates has had the 3 worst run of games I have ever seen by a center back. I cant understand anyone defending him.

Then you have Vietto who is a confidence player and he goes and he scores a beautiful goal and you just see a weight lifted off his shoulder. He was making things happen and was the best player on the pitch and then...you sub him off.....in the 60th minute....its just incomprehensible. That is a sure fire way to absolutely murder a players confidence.

The team felt it immediately. Winless in the last 4 games and worst start to a season since...12/13. Worst defense since....1955.

I have no words just anger. Bruno Fernandes should have left when he had the chance.

 There’s always Mourinho there in the stadium.
I'm very proud of having Mourinho on my stadium. I dont believe he has any fault on our "bad" results has you can see on this Manchester United season

Didn’t mean for it too come off “disrespectful” was the first team who came to mind but truly this is an absolute joke and embarrassment. I am legitimately disgusted.
But it was. You need to keep your garbage players so I can see all the rage coming from you. :D

Now, on a serious note. You don't have a center forward. Maybe you should try Coates upfront.

We sure are trying to have players that look more like defenders than forwards on the attack. We don't score but we also don't let them score. Ties are better than defeats

Football is a strange place. Sporting ends the season on a high morale, with a lot more positives than negatives. Things were looking to improve, but this happens.

Porto ends the season on a meltdown, with players and manager having some disagreements, key players leaving the club, and despite the shaky start and some dodgy ref decisions, they are coping with it.

Never seen a ream so obviously dependent on one player. Bruno scores again to tie the game in yet another abysmal performance. Halftime now.....

This has to be some sort of experiment to see how much embarassment they can take before they get the feck out of the club.

Joke of a president. Makes Godinho Lopes look like a saint. In 1 year look at what this man has done.

There are a lot of quite decent available managers. Spalleti, Allegri, Marcelino (who IMHO is a very good manager). I think a big name would be a good thing for Sporting because it would be someone who could assemble and deploy a structure on the football department.

For example: if Sporting signed Wenger, with his reputation he would have enough leverage to revamp the whole football structure and the players would had to accept his view because it's Wenger.

We have signed Silas until the end of the season with an option for a further year.

He showed good things in Belem and is a coach that can do well. He is also a die hard Sporting fan which at the moment can be an important thing for our situation. He will be on a cheap contract as well.

Sadly for him he is entering a burning building and I don't think he will be given the resources to be able to succeed.

Also Audio of Bruno Fernandes talking to someone on what's app and criticizing the attitude of some players and saying all they want is to make money and go home and if that's what they want they can sit out the rest of the season and get the feck out. He is 100% correct but its unfortunate that that got out at this time.

I think Silas is a good man for the job. It will be an hard first season for him, but hopefully he can put some of his ideas in the team and helps sporting to go through this hard times. Just change president too and buy a striker.

You said the main thing...the president. I like Silas as a coach and think he can do well but at this moment the team is rotten to the core and I feel any coach who sets foot in there is destined to fail.

I’m happy Silas got the job, think he’ll do well as long as he’s not asked to perform any miracles.

The manager was far from being the biggest problem anyway imo, Keizer wasn’t incredible but he wasn’t bad either.

I liked the appointment, but only if Sporting let him build his stafff and ruleset, and don't let the board meddle. The squad needs to be shielded.

Silas is a forward thinking manager who left the fake Belenenses on mutual agreement. I do think he would get results sooner or later, but rumors about the lack of commitment by the investors are taking it's toll.

Ah yes that’s exactly what’s going to happen. In his place I wouldn’t accept this, it will destroy his career really.

Well we won a match with Silas but let’s be realistic here, the squad is shit, this wasn’t only a Keizer/Pontes problem, we will be lucky if we finish third. Would be better to focus on the Europa League, we play in 3 days and honestly I can’t say we are favourites against anyone, that’s how bad we are IMO.

I agree but the first few games for Silas he just has to be able to steady the boat. He has been the coach for 2 days and had a game today and then in another 2 days he has another game and then yet another one 2 days after He will not get his ideas across in these circumstances but he needs to hopefully keep Sporting steady.

Today was a poor and sloppy game but I expected this. Only two positive notes 1. We won the game and 2. We got a clean sheet.

Silas already has almost the same amount as Keizer in 1 year.

League cup is basically a chorizo stuffing competition.
The idea behind it was good, but the competition never reached a major interest by top clubs.
Still fun if your city hosts the final four, though.

Thanks. Take it the league up isn’t advertised on Sport Tv?
Usually it gives on RTP when its one of the big 3 playing. The league returns in 2 weeks because after is international break.

If Famalicao get any sort of result at Porto I believe Leicester City mode will be fully activated

I think the Montpellier 2011/12 was far more impressive, because PSG was already under financial doping and Lyon, Lille and Bordeaux had great players at their disposal.

They are a great shout as well but Bordeuax was not the same since there 2009/10 season.

Would be amazing for Portuguese football is something like that happened.

2 wins for Silas without knowing much about it. Undeserved wins but he has barely had a training session so I cant fault him on that. He did the bare minimum and got 2 important winds to hopefully boost the confidence.

Out of interest is Matheus Pereira rated at Sporting?

Pretty much everyone involved at West Brom can't believe how good he is and why he got loaned out. I was surprised to see he's 23 so not a kid and would've had chances at Sporting in previous season.

Beyond top 3 aswell level between championship and Liga Soares isn't hugely different so interested what my Sporting friends opinions on him are.
