A look inside RB Salzburg's changing room before their game at Anfield last night. It's always interesting to see how different managers motivate their players before a game. Some of it's not in English but you get the idea.

Heard an interview with him the day before the match were he said they had zero chance but told his players to basically go there and be themselves and to play with respect. I’d say they honored that.

Looks like the video is no longer available. Any mirrors?

Whenever I see these sort of speeches though I can't help but think of all the incredible speeches that a manager or captain has given, only for his team to go out and get stuffed anyway.

Get stuck in? Fight? What a dinosaur, probably thinks "pashun" is important.

Wait, he's not English. How inspirational!

I can guarantee you that it’s a healthier dressing room than what we’ve currently got.

That was interesting but I can imagine team talks are pretty much dull as feck most of time with the occasional screaming and shouting reserced for the special matches.

I remember watching Zidane's teamtalk during the 2018 CL Final and being suprised at how boring it was. Pure professionalism with some tactical instructions. No great quotes about life and no shouting. I think professional footballers should be inherently self- motivated enough to come out of the second half with an even better performance. Teamtalks are probably just to keep them in check and reinforce to them tactical instructions.

I'd tend to agree and don't think there's anything wrong with what the coach was saying.

Just imagining the reception to the likes of Redknapp, Pardew or Warnock giving the same speech. I don't believe it would go down as well on social media and reckon they'd get criticism.

Nowt wrong with trying to instil a bit of fire in the belly of your players and give them a gee up.

They came back from a 3 goals deficit if I'm not wrong. Match ended in a 4-3 defeat but still an excellent effort against the Champions of Europe.
right. They came back from 3 goals down and tied the game only to lose a 4th to Liverpool at the end of the game. respectable

Cheers.

I still don't get such speeches. Most of the players while paid attention to what he said, didn't seem like they were pumped.

I think it's for the cameras. As far as i know, that club was collecting footage for some sort of documentary similar to what city did.
