Lovely goal!! Sotona great swift pull back for Elanga who was perfectly positioned and hit a sweet shot.

2-4 We might actually win a game.

Elanga with a scorching strike from 25 yards that crashes in off the underside of the bar. 2-5

I've usually seen Elanga on the left, but he seems on the right now? As good there usually? Played there much before?

He's a very exciting player.

Has it been a change in that they are injecting kids from a level below more consistently this season esp the U15/U16s

Think its a knock on effect of U18's and U23's being in 1st team squad, U18's drafted in to replace them in the U23 squad, and then U16's to replace them in the U18's.

Elanga and Hoogewerf will be fully promoted to the U23's this season I think. They're quality.

Cheers! Not something strategic then.

We hardly have any "U16s". 2 of them are already with the U18s and only like 3-4 other of them are retained for scholarships (we are lack of number in that group). Most of our "U16s" for this season are actually U15s.

I would disagree and say it is very strategic. We've gutted the u23s and got rid of all the average 20 year olds that we'd keep on the books in years gone by. We've only 15 u23s players with some of those coming into the season already with long term injuries and Max Taylor being in remission. The strategy is very clear to get players promoted faster. It's about time we've followed the other top clubs in this respect.

Exceptional refereeing again, Elanga, Hoogewerf and Sotona regularly assaulted, yet Mejbri got carded for having big hair and being French, but apart from that a great watch, helped by having a great camera angle.
The ref did get some wrong - but for all we know Mejbri might have said something unappropriate to the ref - so let's not slaughter the ref for that one.

Elanga looks like a player.
Mentioned him a few times; looks really sharp, direct and got an air of arrogance that all great attackers need! His second goal shows that he’s technically class too! Reminds me of a young Sterling! Let’s hope he kicks on in the next few years

Very similar combination play between Elanga and Devine for the two first, and then Mejbri central in setting up for Elanga’s two strikes. Sounds and looks like Elanga and Hoogewerf had very good games, how did Mejbri do?
