He's our goalkeeper. He can't do much when the 10 on front can't defend or attack
He can start providing the distribution and stop making the errors that the highest paid goalkeeper in the world should be making. He's here because no one else would pay him the stupid money that we are. Rashford too.

He's referring to how De Gea's form at the tail end of the last season sunk United. He's technically not wrong. Off the top of my head I can remember DDG costing around 4-5 games.
He saved us many more. It's a ridiculousy daft statement.

Everything is fine according to the clueless feck on the sidelines. Chill.
The day you are in a management position, the last thing you will ever do is go public and say "EVERYTHING IS BAD WE'RE STRUGGLING AHHHHHHH"

No matter how though things are going to get, the man in charge will show a positive face outwards, and take his grievances inside. Like any leader worth his salt did. The last manager we had that aired his dirty laundry public was hated by everyone in the end. But hey, why not suggest solutions instead complaining?

And how many points did he save us in previous seasons? He was our player of the year for a reason. The guy does not deserve to be spoken about like that.

All of our players have been shit latey

@TheReligion as you've seen the intervju, what do you mean by concerned? Do you mean Solskjær?
I'm concerned with both interviews really. At one point in Oles he said something about moving players around, muttering to himself, but stopped just short then answered 'its up to me to find the solution'.

Really does feel like he's out of ideas.

With DDG he seemed really angry and wanted to say more but didn't. Clearly wasn't happy with our midfield and mentioned the goal from our own corner. Also said it's the toughest he's known it at the club which is pretty damming all things considered.

Thats a pretty funny comment. considering that the Manchester United defense allow 5th least shots on goal per game in the Premier League.

I agree. But those games last season he was woeful. He made a lot of basic errors which led to slipping out of the top 4. Lots of us had hoped Ole would put in Romero at the time.

But what you say is true. A lot of other players have had their contribution in making United look like shit. DDG has been largely excellent so you could forgive him for a bad spell.

The guy for all mistakes you may criticize him for proved by this interview proved to have far high standards for the club than our terrible manager who said few weeks ago 6 of our last 7 games were good and WHU game wasn't that bad while AZ draw was a good result with good performance. This interview just shows the difference between Ole's and De Gea's supposed standards for the club.

DDG has been an absolute saint. DDG also made some (by elite GK standards) unforgivable mistakes that lead to goals against and lost matches/points. He's responsible for us even getting into the CL discussion, and responsible for us losing out. Both are factual.

That interview's quite damning from Solskjaer's perspective, when one of your senior and best players is openly wondering what the feck's going on then you're in trouble.

I have to question why he extended. There are at least 30 clubs in Europe with a brighter outlook than us.

But good to see some acknowledgement of how shit this is. I'm getting bored of Ole's rhetoric, he's coming across like a puppet.

The we can't score 1 goal in two games line was very telling. Clearly thinks a lot of the players are not good enough.

Yeah he saved the team multiple times. But I disagree with you because every player needs to be criticized for poor performances regardless of what they've done in the past. He should have been dropped during that run of games.

Taken off the BBC commentary of people haven't seen it, however it was the tone of his voice as well that sounded broken almost

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has just been speaking to Sky Sports. There was a lot of sighing and trying to find the words.

He said "unacceptable" a whole load of times.

"We didn't create any proper chances. We defended well. The team needs to step up. We have some big injuries but that’s no excuse. We are Manchester United, we need to keep training hard, fighting and winning games."

What do you need to improve?

"Everything. A lot of things to improve. I don’t know what to say. Keep trying, fighting, improving every day. It’s a hard moment for us.

"The most difficult time since I’ve been here. I don’t know why, what is happening. Sorry to the fans. We will keep fighting.

"Come on, we conceded a goal from a comer. That cannot happen. It’s unacceptable."
I'm so glad he said this because I think Ole sees it as an excuse.

Acting as if all the goals he lets in are him catching then throwing them in. He makes mistakes but less than others. Also we tend not to give many shots away because teams know how to play us, sit back and then hit on the counter - just avoid AWB and Maguire I'd possible. They don't need to pepper our goal. When we come up against City it'll be a massacre. Liverpool will love it, sit back and watch us pass it sideways and then lose it and score on the break.

His distribution isn't great but again, the fecking outfield players better be able to play a pass. If we are relying on our goalkeeper to be setting up goals we have even bigger problems than I thought.

Where the grass is greener.
Kind of like to see this level of concern and care in a weird way. Seems gutted, also seems like he wanted to slag our attack off but resisted.

True. Was this after Ole's post match interview?

Ole would not be happy with the tone of DDG's interview, but I would rather hear that than Mr. Sunshine persistently telling us that everything is coming up roses.

As poor as he's been, I do feel for him. He spent his prime years - some of which as arguably the best GK in the world - in this poor era. He really should've won more and competed at the highest level.

Or maybe the coaching isn't good enough, as a team we don't create enough chances. We look clueless going forward.

Sorry but senior pro, best player, captain coming out giving an interview like this? No wonder we are screwed I’ve seen more fight in a plastic bag. If he’s going to do an interview like this then wonder why he’s bothered. I get he’s frustrated and upset by it all as we all are but if he’s our leader reacting like that then perhaps that’s part of the problem

One of the only players that's actually shown they really care and he's still getting slated. As for those blaming him, we'd have been in this shape a lot quicker if he wasn't here.

Yikes. When your senior player openly gives an interview like that, it's all over I'm afraid.

Actually refreshing to hear an interview like that instead of the usual robotic rubbish we've heard over the last few years.

Something just isn't right and unfortunately I think Oles time is up.

So you would rather have one of Juan's blogs saying the usual claptrap?

Good on him for saying it like it is. Sick of hearing Ole talk about "working hard and making progress" every week. Makes him look like a liar.

What we need is the top players of that dressing room to unite (4-5, 6 tops?) and start a mutiny. Ole out for starters. Then a proud ex-player as interim working closely with those top players to save the season. Players like Fred, Pereira or Matic not even allowed in the bench anymore. A cleansing dictatorship.

That or AllegrIN asap.
