We're going to need to buy a player or two who can reliably score goals. Will these players be available in January?
There’s no guarantee but, with our ability to pay silly wages, we should be able to sort something out. There’s also Martial to come back.

If we keep Solskjaer then yes we definitely could be relegated. Since he was made permanent manager we've been in relegation form. He will not change because he's a shit manager.

We're not too good to get relegated.

We're not too good to get rid of 4 starters and not suffer.

We're not too good to throw in under 20's and not get beaten by PL teams.

Ole is naive in the extreme. Woodward is complicit and complacent.

Yes we could. It is a serious possibility right now. Do people really think Pogba and Martial will make a major difference - they have also been part of the terrible performances since PSG.
I don't think Pogba will play again, he knows his stock will keep on sliding in this team. He is going to look to escape in January. Martial can't join a bigger club than us and is going to stay while being slightly better than Rashford.

No but we could stay close enough to it for there to be weekly reports about how were 3 points above the relegation zone. And how this weekends game is a relegation 6 pointer and so on. Tbh were pretty close to a quarter of the way through the season and we still haven't broken 10 points, so its kind of uncomfortably close.

Form is relegation like and i think relegation battle is possible but i don't think United will be relegated. 7 possible starters played no part today and that is one decent excuse for losing unlike the silly excuses used for Poch's and Spurs who have similar poor form in 2019.

We're not that terrible, the team today was short of multiple starters.

Crying that we're headed for relegation if Ole stays and if this form continues is just wallowing in misery for the sake of it. He will obviously be fired soon enough if we don't start picking up points rather soonish.

We'll bring in a couple of starters in January, see some form of bounce, and - well - off we go again, probably in the same general vein, but we won't be relegated. If people actually believe that'll happen, they're being hysterical for no good reason.

I don’t think there’s any team in the league that has less fight in it.

Seriously? We need to score goals, Martial and Pogba coming back doesn’t guarantee that. The rest of our injuries are defensive players which even though we are losing games we don’t look that bad at the back. Problem is if we don’t score at the other end even one goal scoring chance for the opposition means we lose the game.

It sounds like ‘too big to fail’ to me. This club can easily get relegated on current form.

You'd think that no because there are other more incompetent fecks in this league but then you'd probably name Newcastle as one of those cnuts due to their shit ownership, mediocre if not shit manager and mediocre if not shit squad yet they beat us comfortably so hey. Sky's the limit.

I think that if Ole gets that "whole season" in charge, we would be in fight for relegation. Of course that will not be the case because he will be fired sooner or later but with him in charge it would be tough battle for 17th place

We are in a relegation battle under Ole. No doubt about it.

He'll be sacked by about December with us around the drop zone, we'll bring in a caretaker who will clean up the mess. Guus Hiddink available?

Around this stage of the Moyes season, there were many who thought it was impossible we'd finish outside the top 4, probably because it was so unheard of for United to ever do that. Yet we did, and it wasn't even close.

We've been in relegation form since last season. If that continues, then we absolutely could. There's no sign of it getting better all of a sudden.

In the 1973 - 74 season, after 8 matches we had won 3 games, and drew 1

So far after 8 games, we have won 2, and drawn 3.

If 3 points had been given for a win back then we would have had 10 points
Compared to the 9 we have now.

We finished in 21st position

The squad then was far superior to the squad we have now

Even if we do get relegated, with current mind set of our players and management I’d think we would struggle to win or even make qualifiers for promotion in championship. We are so boring to watch, I stopped watching after 30 mins in and I am glad I did.

Of course we won’t get relegated. We’re Man Utd, no chance.

Suddenly Rashford, Pereira, Fred, Mata, Lingard, Matic etc will come good.
Rashford and Martial will score 17-25 goals each with Greenwood, Lingard, James and Pogba will chip in with 8-14 goals each as well.

Relax, it’s fine. Ole cleared out the deadwood. We’ll finish top 4 and buy Sancho and whoever else we want.

It is going to happen. Whilst I am a supporter of Ole, he isn't blameless and I can see him being fired before Christmas. Whoever they bring in to replace him won't be able to cure the rot in the team and we will end up going down just as the scouse are lifting their first Premier League Trophy

250 to 1. Anyone who genuinely thinks we could can make a lot of money. Post slip otherwise it's all talk. Easy way to settle these stupid debates
You are having a laugh are you not?, no bookies are offering 250/1, more like 50/1
The thing is if we carry on like from April last year points per game we WILL be relegated.
If we do not improve in the next 30 matches we are down
Would you bet that we do improve?

What I am trying to say is the fact that if you do think we will improve, and find someone who does not think we will improve you have to bet 500 just win 10

It is worrying times.

Do we think the Glazers would sell up if we were relegated? Or if we were in danger of it around march time, they'd panic and sell up? Not that this will happen mind...

We are the worst team in the league with the worst manager so without doubt we can and it's looking increasingly likely. Ole isn't going to turn this around, he needs to go.

Certainly relegation form, the upcoming games could be an absolute catastrophe. Scousers match might make or break the season (if Ole doesnt get sacked in the coming days) in terms of where we'll finish. If we manage to turn things around in that match it could give the club a boost. I dont expect that to happen and I am genuinely worried about relegation ffs I cant believe I just typed that.
