More of this - enough of the Ole bullshit about we're working hard and the boys are giving everything. DDG knows what it takes, it's not about being nice and protecting everyone, it's about setting standards.

Get a manager in with some kind of a track record, there are plenty available, and try to salvage some dignity this season.

Pretty telling in a way that with Dave s drop in form our decline became even more notable. Imho that should shut up anyone who might ve claimed that it wasn't just him that kept us competitive. He did.

Ddg didn't saw what Ole said after the game. All is good. Just bump on the road. No worries Dave

He's right, none of us know what is happening but it's not going to change any time soon as long as we're still a money machine. It's fecking sad and upsetting.

He looked completely shell shocked and devastated. He deserves so much better.

Sh!te owners, sh!te CEO, sh!te manager, sh!te coaches, sh!te players. It’s a shambles.
And all in this order.

If we sorted everything out in this order, we would have a chance!

doubt he'll be rolled out in front of the press again after that, glad he said what he did though. Painting a pretty picture on things isnt working.

Do people not think that both the DDG and Ole post match interviews maybe point towards what Gary Neville said regarding recruitment and investment? Despite appearing to spend a lot of money on what look like three very good signings that certainly improve us, the reality is the net spend was nowhere near enough given the players that left.

Maybe Ole is out of his depth and a number of the current crop of players are nowhere near the quality required, but this goes back to the owners and the man they task with running the club - Woodward. Why so many on here are focusing their displeasure at Ole and the players is beyond me. We should be calling out the mismanagement of our club for what it is, as enough is enough. You can change the manager and the players, but the root cause will still remain.

It’s horrific to think how the rot started from the top and slowly seeped its way down to the board, the CEO, the manager, the coaches, and now finally, the playing squad. Moyes had PL champions in his hands. From that moment the squad has been taken apart brick by brick and never truly replaced. I have memories of the likes of Vidic and Evra leaving, then Evans, then Hernandez, etc, and the players like Schneiderlain coming in. We never recovered from years of bad choices.

Big of him to come out and give an interview.

Feel for him. And Maguire. And James.

That's about it.

Look how angry he is.
Looks broken.

You can tell he cares for the club as he would get top money elsewhere anyway. He came here as a teen working with Top players and the greatest manager of all time and since then went to a different level while the club went in the opposite direction.
He has wasted his years here. Which if I said 7 years ago I be classed as mental, that is how far we have fallen.

They will have him sat in a room with Bojan Djordic and Sir Geoffrey Boycott. The Naughty Boys Room.

Every keeper in history has made howlers and cost his team points. To point it out about ddg as though it's abnormal is just stupid.
Yeah like I said, it shouldn't be a stick to beat him with.

Dave's not going to keep up appearances for Ole. He's clearly aiming at the attackers in that interview.

"I am a world class keeper. Im forced to watch a bunch of Championship standard English and home growns fart about passing sideways and backwards. Is this a philosophy for winning football matches or just winning soundbites?"

Thats what his eyes are saying.

He like many was probably sold a dream.

He’s sat behind players like that having come into a team with Rio & Vida; I’d be a broken man too.

He was professionally honest there, something OgS has yet to be this season.

SHOCKING. What on earth was Ed thinking? I didn't want to blame Ed too much but why has he not even till today rectified these issues? Why has he not held his hands up to say he cannot look after the football and he WILL bring an TRIED AND TESTED DoF to take over.

The guy is very intelligent, this is why I believe all this is done purposely, just like the Glazer's Bucs team is run. He has planted these DoF stories in the media for over a year and NOTHING

So many good players have been bought & sold in this time whilst we have nothing to show for it.

Invest £100mil under proper management post-Fergie & they’d have saved millions going forward.

Shocking to think how far standard have fell.

I loved his honesty.

You could tell that he just wanted to say half the players on that pitch are just not good enough, pure and simple.

It's brutal really, you look back at even the last title winning squad and think wow, the industrious players like Park, Prime Valencia, Rafael and Nani would massively improve us now.

This is the beginning of the end for Ole, now, I think the players have had enough now, it's amateur hour at OT, he was pissed off DDG, I bet there's a lot like it. Bad. Sorry oles gone next week or before.

He looks absolutely defeated. Something not right there. He doesn't seem to know where to go from here, and that's up to the manager to drive that to drive that and build these lads back up. Nice to see a player genuinely give a feck. There should be a few more of these lads hurting, most of which are far more culpable than De Gea.

He deserves better. We are broken, frustrated and clueless. Rock bottom. Worst after-Fergie period.

Funny interview, everything about de gea's body language, facial expressions and tonality felt like he was biting his lip as to what he wanted to say.

I’m broken myself. I’m past shouting at the tv at this stage. It’s more rolling the eyes.
I Can’t see where our next goal is going to come from , never mind a win.

I don’t understand why people don’t get that ole is the manager, he has to publicly save face/ be positive, support the players. It’s part and parcel of being a manager. Be positive in public, defend yourself/team/players
No he shouldn't be delusional in the media. He should give an honest view on the team and tell the fans this is crap and unacceptable and they should improve on it, not coming out saying everything is fine like he did the previous few games.

He's basically saying Ole is clueless. He's been through Moyes, LVG, and Mourinho and sees that this is the most difficult time since he's been here. It that isn't damning enough, I don't know what is.

WOW

I never knew he cared so deeply. It looks like now he's got his contract situation sorted, knows he's made his bed and now has to lie in it, that the sporting side is his no.1 focus. As it should be obviously. However I am shocked at the level of emotion he exhibited. That interview is as real a glimpse into the inner state of this club as you'll ever see.

We are lucky to have seen that, because usually that risk would be mitigated. We may not see David on media duties for a while.

He misunderstood the question about looking up the pitch and wondering where the next goal is coming from. In one way it stopped him criticising the attacking players, but on the other hand it led to him slating the team for conceding from a corner.

Interview gold for the journalist. Shame he didn't keep him there longer, but I think as it is that it is astounding enough.

exactly you don’t have to do a Mourinho and pick certain players and throw them under the bus but going around saying everything is fine is delusional, DeGea is right we are the worst we have been since the late 80’d

Deserves a medal for his honesty. Breath of fresh air compared to the usual "we need to improve" BS we hear every week. Can't believe some are criticizing him for this interview.

But but but De Gea don't you understand

''it's a process''

''Rebuild ''

we're getting there''

'ups and downs''

''Fine Margins''

''if you only go out on sunny days you don't get to your destination''

''Local Lads''

''This is Manchester United''

In the very end of the interview he said "the whole system is... is not good". He must have wanted to say "the whole system is shit", apparently
