Ex United player Djordjic with a very honest opinion on our current plight. We won't hear such honesty from likes of Rio or Neville.

He says the club is a shambles the way it is run and something has to change regards a long-term approach. The worst United team he's seen in his lifetime.

He questions the quality of Scott McTominay and doesn't feel he's of the standard to play for United and finds the comparison to Darren Fletcher way off the mark. Bojan played with Fletcher at United which should be noted and describes Fletcher as someone who was very highly rated, had a great first touch and could control games coming through the ranks.

Against Newcastle he says, if the United and Newcastle players swapped shirts, we wouldn't know the difference.

On Ole - He says he can't see what Ole is trying to implement on the team via a style of play since he was given the job. He also says his preference when Mourinho got the sack was Pochettino.

He does seem the only one closely connected to the club that tells it how it is.

I don’t necessarily agree about mctominay but he’s obviously not as good as previous squad midfielders - but he’s the least of our worries now.

Except Gary Neville just said the club is run horribly from the top, as he has done several times before. Said Ole sets the teams up in away games with no intention of even trying to win. And has questioned McTominay's ability loads of times. So sounds like we'll hear the exact same honesty from Neville.

He always say more on MUTV than I think he's supposed to, quite amusing.

We need these ex players to call the board out and put pressure on them! Hats off to Neville and Bojan.

Neville often rants and raves saying it’s a mess or toxic whoever he wants to describe it. He rarely ever ACTUALLY pinpoints what’s wrong. He won’t name names.

while he’s obviously worried about slander etc, he should be a bit clearer. Too many times people take their own opinion from it and start blaming individual players.

the glazers and Woodward need to go.

Neville is only blaming the club and how it is run. And of course Pogba.

He doesnt blame other players often, especially the British ones and never blames the manager for anything. At least we have someone here who blames specific players, the club and the manager. Thats his opinion, some wont agree with his assessment of McTominay, but the club and Ole are sure to be blamed.

He's not totally honest though is he? Showing blind faith towards Moyes and his brother. LVG was then constantly criticised and he at the very least did a better job than Moyes. Then reverted to showing blind faith towards Mourinho and blaming Woodward. And currently doing the same with his mate Ole.

He just said Ole sets up the team not to win and even said Mourinho should be manager over him. How is that blind faith in Ole, when he says he shouldn't even be manager?

He just said Rashford was terrible on every cross the other day and if the team wasn't in such a mess that he should be dropped. He said Shaw isn't good enough. He's said multiple times McTominay isn't good enough. How isn't that blaming the British ones? Neville just specifically blamed players, Ole, and the board but apparently you refuse to acknowledge what he actually says.

I know it's technically correct but calling djordic an ex united player is incredibly generous. What did he play for us like 5mins?
He's done well to still be dining out on that!

Fletcher was absolute gash at the same stage of his career as McT. And Bojan barely made a first team appearance?

Seems a bit harsh to single him out especially as if the squad was adequately stacked he'd only be expected to be a squad player

Yeah I know this bloke played for us, my memory is pretty good, and I don't remember him at all, not even a little bit. How he's got where he is, fair play, he clearly loves the club, but it seems so random to me.

In fairness he speaks quite well about football and seems to know what he's on about. I find him quite honest and refreshing compared to most pundits.

Though I do find it a bit strange when he's criticising United players given he failed here.

Seems weird singling out McTominay. Fair enough if he doesn't think he is good enough but in the midfield at least he can pass the ball and has some work ethic. Others in the same position are far worse than him currently.

Djordjic has openly criticized the owners of the club whilst Neville for some reason doesn't. The Swede has also questioned the coaching ability of Ole, but Neville? It's all fine and dandy constantly blaming Woodward for all our ills like Neville does, but it's high time he grew a pair and pointed the finger at the owners who are the route cause of the issues we're encountering at first team level.

Djordjic is consistent in his criticism and didn't even spare academy kid Scott McTominay and even called out the board on MUTV. Djordjic speaks his mind on all issues surrounding United and sadly I can't say the same about Neville in that regard. Djordjic is far more open and honest in comparison and doesn't beat around the bush.

Probably doesn't want to burn his bridges in terms of getting a job at some point

He's clearly trying his best, he's not the worlds greatest, but its clear the effort is there and I think he'll have a place long term as a useful squad player. There's much more obvious players to have a dig at.

He played two first team games but was on the books at United for a long period of time.

Whether he rates McTominay or not, he's not the issue. He's clearly our best midfielder bar Pogba.

It's the fact we couldn't score in a brothel.

Ridiculous to single McTominay out. He’s 22 years old and 22 year olds are generally inconsistent. He's had plenty of games now though where he's made a real impact, initially doing specific shut down tasks and more recently as more of an all rounder getting his head up and playing some good passes.

As long as he keeps working hard, the good games will outweigh the bad ones and he will have a good career with us. There are a hell of a lot of things more valid for criticism right now than McTominay.

Can't take him seriously if he's criticising McTominay of all players. One of very few bright spots in the past year. Go pick on someone else you stupid bully.

Good podcast, and I pretty much agreed with everything Bojan said. Should be a wake up call to some of our fans who still have the wool over their eyes.

So none of us can criticize them since we didn't make it in football. No manager can criticize them since most of them are failed footballers.

That's just wrong.

Absolutely, agreed. He could be to our squad what John O'Shea was, a very useful squad player and great cover for other first team players.

I think there is an obsession with targeting McTominay. I have noticed it now in several podcasts, this one and a Scottish Football one to name a few. We have Fred and Matic who are far worse but the one getting the stick is the one guy who actually has effort on the pitch and contributes too.

Why? He failed during our most successful period. He would of been starting in this team. No different to Andreas Pereira really.

I don't think he means to knock McTominay down, he's just saying the fact he is our best midfielder at the minute is wrong. That's not incorrect. He's a decent player but we should have better midfielders than him in the first team.

No, anyone can criticise anything they like.

But I'm also free to find it odd that an ex-player, who only made a handful of appearances, is carving out a career in the media talking about United, what United need and what it takes to be a United player, though.

Although as I have stated he is quite good at it - in fairness.

Because these positions are usually filled with successful players, fair play to him though

People hear what they want to hear. Not having access to SSN in Norway but from this thread alone it appears you're not listening very well. He's had a go at both Solskjær and the club.

Surely he should know better than anybody what it takes? If we're being honest though, it doesn't take a genius to see what the problems are and who is/isn't good enough.

Often I find that players who don’t hide get criticised more often. Pogba and mctominay don’t hide and always get involved, even if they’re playing badly they do things.

Other players hide or play safe and while they don’t make mistakes they also don’t help progress at all. They won’t get criticised though which is exactly why they play this way.

Required level of what? All good squads have players like him.

Not sure what people are expecting from a guy who is paired with duds like Matic/Fred or with Pogba who is too careless for a midfield two.

McTominay along with Axel and the three summer signings are least of our problems.

If they switched shirts you could tell the difference, then they'd be the team doing less running!

Actually I believe our squad players should be better if we want to compete, but he doesn't bother me.

I agree, it doesn't negate the fact that McTominay isn't a really a good player. He is a player who looks like one compared to the crap around him.

Honestly we really need more commentators and media personalities who are where they are because of how good they are in those roles, rather than how good they were as a player. I haven't watched all that much of Djordjic, but what I have I was quite impressed with. Far more than I ever have been with the likes of Neville (other than maybe his first year in commentary) and Scholes.
