Would you still watch or attend Manchester United games if we get relegated?

Yes, because the Glazers would be gone if this happened. And the Championship is a decent league with some entertaining football. And we could start our real rebuild, not this "rebuild" made to keep fans from stop spending £££ at the club.

It would be humiliating world football news if Utd got relegated but don't kid yourself. You'd be glued to every game. And going to Forest, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle and Sunderland would be a shit sight better than Bournemouth, Burnley etc.

How the mighty have fallen.. finding all the positives in the Championship.

We could end up being in the championship and Champions League? would we attract talent then?

Question is, if we do relegate, which players do you think will stay, and which players will request to leave?

I would watch still, but I'd have very little patience with us repeating the same mistakes that got us there. So I'd have to see genuine change to stay with it long term

Most of them still wouldn’t get the salary elsewhere they are on here so wouldn’t expect a stampede.

Wonder what insane odds you'd have got at the start if the season. After Leicester you should on principle always put a fiver on anything over 1000 to one.

This season has been a sh*t show so far but there is absolutely no chance we'll be relegated. I still think we'll finish in top 8, maybe 10th at the lowest and that is disastrous enough.

I did before and I will still.

Why would I desert my boyhood club on the basis of them being relegated?

If some in here want to stop following the club they’re welcome to. There are other clubs and brands if basking in reflected glory is what you’re about. If you support a club because it’s in your blood, you don’t give up on them

I can't believe this is a genuine question to be honest

Deffo still watch of course. Attend more probably, as I’m guessing league game attendances would drop a bit, be easier for me and my lad to get tickets

TBF there are more than a few here who are hanging on to the club due to the glory years.
I think they would stop following the club if there was relegation and they’re entitled to it. I’m not going to complain or vilify them.

A better question is would you be able to. At the moment every single United match is televised live somewhere or other.

They don't have Championship games on TV in the states so that'd be a no for me. I would still hang out here though to read quality threads like this one.

Definitely, if you can’t support them when they’re losing you shouldn’t support them when they’re drawing.

When we were relegated we went down fighting, and changing, the fans were very much behind Docherty and the team. The second division season where we carried on rebuilding with youth and pace was a positive time and a favourite season for many.

Anyone says no to watching/supporting is an absolute helmet and a typical modern fan.

If anyone would stop going to games because United are not doing well or in a lower league, clown!

If United were in League 2 I would still support them, travel home and away.

Posts like this do my head in, if you don't support the club when we are shite then don't fecking support the club when we are doing well.

Sunderland?, we may be under performing at the moment, but not to the extent of their position

This is true , tickets would be easier to get hold of and no doubt there would be less day trippers more interested in the mega store than the match . It might even be a good thing getting relegated , only problem is with Woodward/Glazers in charge we probably wouldn't bounce back up . The next Leeds .

So, things are bad. Really bad. We are currently two points above relegation with no signs of improvement. If we get relegated, what will you do?

I will not enjoy watching us play in the championship, but I believe I will still watch the few odd games. They don’t show championship games here in America, so to be honest, I will have to stream most of it. I will also protest and demand reshuffling of our club infrastructure.
Manchester United was relegated and bounced back in the 20th century. If the fans then thought like some now, there would be no Manchester United today.

It's interesting that fairweather 'fans' who are ready to give up on United and trash its manager and some of the players who are decent think that being a supporter means you stop being a supporter of a club when times are tough and things don't go your way.

Will ALWAYS watch, however I have cancelled sky sports and BT Sport as I only use their services to watch United and I will no longer pay the £50+ a month to watch this shite. I pay to be entertained and I am not being entertained. Will be rivers only from now on.

Yes of course, they are my team. I still watch this mess most of the time, so being in the Championship might actually get our winning ratio up.

I'm a life long ST holder who has only been to two games this season, feel completely apathetic towards the club and have done since last summer when it became clear that its the owners and Woodward who are the major problem at the club.

Glazers sending feelers out to see if they can still make £££ from United fans if we get relegated. I'm sure they love all the positive responses.

Surprised towards how much positivity there is towards this question. This is why Ole looks unsackable at the moment. That really show how low our standards has fallen. It is embarrassing really.

Even though, I would also watch, I would be disgruntled. I don’t see it as a highlight to play in the championship. I also wouldn’t attend as a sign of protest. United should be much better than relegation after the investment we made. We are only behind City in the most spent table post Sir Alex.

They’d probably get promoted if the unthinkable happened
Hahahaha jesus mother of god imagine, Liverpool win the league, Leeds win the Championship and we finish 3rd bottom, we would have to go on a 9 month long bender to deal with it

I have pretty much stopped watching already! I usually make it to 25 minutes in then switch off because it’s clearly a repeat.

I'd imagine that Championship's broadcasting rights would rise in cost significantly if that happens.

You're surprised that people wouldn't abandon their club? Bizarre.

Anyone that would even entertain this question is someone we'd be better off without imo.

Why because fans won't stop supporting the club they have been brought up supporting from birth?

If you think this is what support a club is all about, sounds like the NFL or NBA could do with you more than United lad
