Would you still watch or attend Manchester United games if we get relegated?

feck yes, might even get my hands on a few away tickets (mission impossible atm). Let's be honest, we've been absolutely dreadful for years now and I've probably missed about 3 matches ever since SAF retired.

I don't watch the highlights anymore or the games. But I still support United - just haven't had the time so I listen on the radio instead. If we were relegated this wouldn't change. The only way I may stop supporting the club is if the Saudi's became our owners. Every win or trophy would feel hollow and corrupt. I'm not sure I could genuinely support the club anymore in that circumstance.

Of course, even with a double relegation. Just cannot get my head around not doing so no matter how disappointing it would be.

Smashing the championship with 110 points would actually be fun after the last few years. Almost like a reset.

Obviously don't want or think relegation is remotely possible though.

I would for sure, in the US espn+ shows championship matches for only $5 a month vs the $55 I pay for fubo now, so I would save a lot as well..

however I would be extremely disappointed if we got relegated..

Yes obviously, hate the way we play now but you cant just stop supporting the club. Might do us good to be brought down to earth.

I did it in the 74-75 season and I will do it again.

Plus if relegation got rid of the glazers i would take it.

When we were relegated we went down fighting, and changing, the fans were very much behind Docherty and the team. The second division season where we carried on rebuilding with youth and pace was a positive time and a favourite season for many.
The old second division loved having us. Teams like Bristol coming to OT and 40,000 + crowds. They'd never seen anything like it:lol:

Great attacking football which Doc took back into Div 1. I was a teenager back then, and football and Utd meant everything to me

No.

Sorry. I dont support stupidity and stubborness for chosing united way over actual surviving the epl.

If fergie got us relegated I'd still watch us, not when we're shooting our own foot and persist with ole

Your entitled to your choice. Obviously I don't want to see us going down but I wouldn't class it as 'stupidity and stubborness' I would class it as supporting us through the good times and the tough times.

When we got relegated under the time of the Doc it was before my time but father told me about it and how much it hurt but he stuck with us and we got promoted.

I started supporting United 25 years ago and was very lucky to see the amazing times under Sir Alex, now that we are not doing well if we were to get relegated I would still watch any game I could.

I'm not saying the act of supporting united as stupidity. But the act of ole at the wheel is.

Hopefully it wont come to that, but if it indeed comes to that becauer of our stubborness with united value then it's my breaking point

The championship will tear us a new one at this rate. Good luck amassing 110 pts with this squad.

Ok fair point.
Plus if we get relegated this season, it'll due to the players not giving a feck. No way we could be relegated if they have a shred of passion for the club.

I wont be supporting this batch of shit players and a shit manager that manages to get manchester united relegated.

Wake me up when they're gone, and we fill our squad with players who cares and plays for the badge (literally, not just pr excercises) then I'll ssupport us even if we played in sunday league.

Can Lingard do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke? That is the question.

I would also not allow Pogba to leave just for the fun of it.

But yeah, why not? It'll still be United. Doubt it would make Woodward resign though as many of you believe.

This thread just shows the amount of fair weather fans we have. We're a mess of a club right now but it's still my team and even if we're relegated I'd follow them as closely as I do now, if not more. Our club has been pillared by those parasites and I've no doubt that things will get worse before they get better.

Of course I would, it would actually be quite fun. If Ole’s still in charge we certainly wouldn’t piss the league, that’s for sure.

Safe to say if Ole takes Manchester United down to the championship he will never get a job in football again let alone still be United manager.

I've always wondered why fans are desperate to stay up when they witness seeing their team struggle all year, getting hammered by top teams and success being 4th from bottom.

But honestly at this point, watching a team play decent football and that was a least competitive would be preferable to now. I feel I've moved on from the hope of challenging for top trophies and the expectations are falling hugely, so if relegation ever happened, I'd adjust to supporting in a different way.

Despite pretty much everyone saying they'd still watch? And even if someone said they didn't it doesn't make them a shitty fan. If they don't wanna waste their time supporting under-performing millionaires thats their choice

It would depend on the football. There is a basement of quality I'm not interested in viewing. I had to stop watching towards the end of the Van Gaal era, it just couldn't hold my attention. I guess I'm not a supporter, just a fan of good football, who chose United because of how we play.

I wonder if relegation is the only way of dropping Glazers and the Woodward disaster, and therefore long-term saving the club. I don't think United will lose many supporters, most of us have been with them for years but they will lose sponsorships. There is no way sponsors will keep pouring millions onto a championship team, just doesn't make sense. Lost sponsorships may mean the snowflake Glazers jumping off the ship and obviously no sane owner will keep Woodward.

Let's all pray Glazers do not decide to "stick it out" though, since clearly United won't stay in championship for too long... #whatHaveWeTurnedInto

The biggest downside of relegation is that international fans will have no way to watch the games. At least not legally :(

Safe to say if Ole takes Manchester United down to the championship he will never get a job in football again let alone still be United manager.
Most likely scenario: in the second half, when it's clear we are heading towards relegation, they will fire Ole, bring somebody in, the players will put some effort into last several games and we will escape relegation by a point or so.

Honestly, for long-term prospects, I see it as worse than getting relegated because we'd have learned nothing, changed nothing.

In terms of watching the matches? Honestly speaking, I barely watch matches these days. I work almost every weekend, and when I’m not working I have to study, so my time is always limited.

I just can’t drop whatever I have to do to watch United no matter what, like I did when I was younger. Call me fair weather or whatever you want, but football is meant to be a distraction from the stresses of life, it’s meant to make you happy, not keep you pissed off for two hours and add to your stress. If United still made me happy, then I would have been more than glad to continue dropping whatever I’m doing to watch our games, as at least it would be a welcome break and something to ease my mind.

So to answer this question, if we got relegated, I would still watch matches, though I would watch them at the same frequency I watch matches these days, which is when I don’t have something more important to do.

I think United at the Championship will make the championship famous! Will still watch the games, no doubt about that.

FA would be losing viewers though, I think a lot of viewers.

Of course I would, I mean I'd hope my ticket might get a bit cheaper by way of an apology but I'd still go, why wouldn't anyone? Hard times are when teams need their fans the most.

I'd still support but my pay tv doesn't include the Championship so not sure I'd be able to watch every game as I do now.

I have no affinity for 95% of these players and it makes it hard to get behind them but I won't turn my back on the team.
