I agree, why did we f.e. never loan Rashford, Pereira and those youngster to Championship clubs?? I even remember that Lingard was not even good in Championship but he is starting games for us. We see it now that it was a good decision from Chelsea to loan their youngsters.
Didn’t Pereira spend a year at Valencia? Axel was at Villa for a year, Henderson is in his second year at Sheffield United, Fosu-Mensah has had a couple of loans, Lingard went to (K think) Derby, Leicester and Birmingham.

Rashford has pretty much been first team since his debut.

I see him on social media, not just on the pitch. An example is

He's had a two toned Rose and White Gold "Rashy" custom Pendant made. You can spin it however you like, but having your own nick-name hanging around your neck is pretty next level narcissism.

Depay was absolutely murdered on here for the same type of stuff and labelled as having a huge unjustified ego compared with his performances, and rightly so. Zlatan could get away with stuff like that because he can walk the walk, Rashford can't and he's opening himself up to being seen as egotistical.
This is what I see from Rashford on social media.

Thank you.

Some of this witch hunting is pathetic. To me there's a huge difference from buying jewelry, cars or whatever and having it up on social versus dressing up in black face, drink driving or sleeping with your sister in law. Pretty clear what we should and shouldn't be concerned about here.

I really don't get the argument about Rashford.
It’s mainly that he’s 21 and that’s still insanely young to be as good as he is right now.

The argument is whether he can develop into a Henry esque 20-30 goals a season player or whether he will never ever be at that level as a number 9.

I think personally that Rashford should simply accept that he’s not a number 9 type player personally and focus on becoming a new Robben or Ribery style of forward instead. That way we can sign someone in ‘his’ position without upsetting him.

Whatever people may say, the kid turns up for the biggest occasions, hats off to him.
That in itself is a criticism though, why's he not turning up for the lesser games? I'm not talking about goals and end product either just all round performance

Exactly, although don't say it too loudly, as you will destroy the dreamland-state that most of our fans live in, and watch the games in.

He's 21. How many players got better stats than him at 21? Owen and Fowler? They started as striker/poachers and were wonderkids. Rashford has pretty much been slated by some of our "fans" since his debut. Well not since his debut, because he scored, but since his first full season for our senior squad.
Great performance of him yesterday - let's hope he can build some momentum going forward.

I mean, it seems obvious to me that playing counter-attacking football suits Rashford the most. He strives when he's given space, has to work hard for the team, and score when the opposition defence didn't have time to settle. And it happens a lot more against top teams than against lesser opponents.

Now he needs to find what works for him against lesser opponents.

Mou has made some valid points about him one of which he basically agreed with you. However the other point is that the guy has already had plenty of first team opportunities. So its silly to consider him as a typical 21 year old because he is not.

Honestly I think that Rashford would develop better as an inside forward rather then as a striker as well. Having said that, I have no issues seeing him as a no 9 in certain games like the one against Liverpool. He simply isn't suited against a team that park the bus. Under such circumstances a striker might only have half a chance and Rashy doesn't seem to have the killer instinct to convert that into a goal

Yes Yes Yes! Marcus Rashford is one of our own, local, a young lad but has a heap of experience in first team games including in Europe with winning the Europa Cup, is part of the England first team, the lad bleeds Manchester United, burns for this club to get back to where it belongs and all some posters here can do is knock him time and time again.

He is good in interviews, says enough but not too much, despite the nonsense written by some here Marcus knows he is a footballer first and foremost and was endorsed some time ago by Louis Van Gaal as having the temperament necessary to reach the top in football. I went mad after watching him connect with that ball and smash it into the net.

Yet some will knock him for having that crack later instead of passing to Daniel. However, I would rather Marcus has that confidence than shrink from taking chances. As for the petty sniping about his nickname, jewelry and having jewelry made with his nickname - a simple message to those sniping people, just grow up.

Marcus is making his money legally and has the right to spend it the way he sees fits. I don`t see any so called `narcisissm` connected with having jewelry with your own nickname but I do see envy, pettiness and possibly some racialist undertones in this nonsense directed against Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford Is A Red and we are bloody lucky to have him at Manchester United.
