Started today, unsure how much interest there will be now that United aren't in it.

Looks a pretty weak year for most of the bigger sides. Chelsea side is probably the poorest we've had in it ever, might change if some loans come back later in the year. Ajax made the II game a priority over todays match, was a weak lineup. Be interesting to see if that changes as the tournament goes on. Their depth is great though so was still a strong side, think they'll be favourites this year.

Barca Dortmund should be a good watch starting now Never seen a Dortmund team that can defend at any youth level, should be very open.

Moukoko playing for Dortmund, interesting to see how he gets on. 14 year old with a ridiculous scoring record at u19s.

Ajax played Lille earlier today and won easily. Dutch newspaper wrote there were about 80 scouts at the game, most of them for Naci Unuvar.

Ajax made the II game a priority over todays match, was a weak lineup.
That's not true, the other way around. Brobbey and Taylor are injured. And when Jong Ajax played yesterday against Jong PSV, u19 bench players were on the bench there and got minutes, like Pynadath, Pinas, De Waal. Instead of Unuvar, Hansen etc. who are actually better and were saved for today's game.

My bad. Ajax looked very good, Lille were a mess defensively though. Watched Ajax v Barca u19s for the Cruyff memorial game, really strong side again, will be really hard to beat.

Dortmund were impressive against Barca. Barca started well but got dominated the last 60 minutes, Dortmund could easily have scored 4 in the end.

Tomorrow has some good games, PSG Madrid should be a good watch.

He will retire in 10 years.
My bad didn’t realise you had made a thread.

Yeah virtually zero chance he is 14. Even if he’s 20 though his scoring record is very good and is clearly a good player.

Guy for Hamburg has been caught falsifying his age so would be zero surprise if he turns out to be 17/18.

The Hamburg district office have confirmed that all is fine with Bakery Jatta.

But Moukoko is never 14....so much speaks against that.

Sucks we weren't able to get Cherki. Seems nailed on to go to La Liga in the future for one of the big two.

Not familiar with him, so what is suggesting he’s older than he is?

League Winners stage starts today.

Derby in it for the first time, playing away to Minsk. Should be pretty routine for them but Minsk pitch was really bad last year, could be a little tricky if its the same this time.

Cherki starts for Lyon against Leipzig, unsure if its going to be streamed though.

Liverpool Salz should be a good watch on BT.

Benfica vs Lyon will be very exciting.

Both Ronaldo Camara and Rayan Cherki scored a goal and has 2 assists in today's games (Benfica winning 7-1 against Zenith!!! and Lyon 3-1 against Red Bull Leipzig)

There are rumors that he could be older but his family got documents from the german consulate when he was born. Dortmund and the NT are also very aware of the rumors and I'm sure they did their homework. Very likely the age is accurate.

Crazy scenes in Olympiakos Bayern today. Ultras stormed the pitch with weapons after 80 minutes. Was watching it in disbelief.

In actual football news, Spurs got a good 9-2 win v Belgrade, fun game to watch. Good wins for Brugge against a depleted PSG side. Brugge's 2nd is a potential Puskas winner

Ajax missing 8 players v Chelsea tomorrow with the u17s, Chelsea missing Maatsen. Not sure exactly who will play for Ajax, think Brobbey is still injured also, so probably 7 starters missing. Shame the Chelsea gen is really average.

They threw Bengalos and other things into the Bayern block and stole flags. 5 Bayern fans were heavily injured. The match was interrupted for 25 minutes. The remaining minutes match time the two teams were standing in the middle circle passing to each other.

Horrible. Don’t think I’ve ever seen any trouble at a UYL game bar polish fans setting off Flares and Smoke bombs. Hope it’s a decent punishment, should be closed doors for the first team as no fans at a youth game isn’t a big deterrent.

Benfica vs Lyon is worth a watch. Two early favorites. Currently 1-0 to Lyon with a goal from Cherki but Benfica has more control over the game

Full time
Benfica 1-2 Lyon
Brace from Cherki with a last minute goal to win it.

Benfica overall looked like the stronger team, unlucky to not come out with more

Why is Derby playing in this competition? Thought it was only for clubs that qualified for CL.

There's 2 sections. UCL path and Domestic Champions path, Derby qualified through the latter.

The competition is split into two sections, the first of which is the UEFA Champions League path. All 32 clubs that qualified for the Champions League group stage will have a youth team that will take part in the Youth League, with the groups mirroring the Champions League draw. For example, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Club Brugge and Galatasaray make up Champions League Group A, and the youth teams of those clubs will make up Youth League Group A.

Derby will enter the competition via the Domestic Champions path. This draw includes the domestic youth champions of the 32 best-ranked associations from UEFA’s coefficient rankings. These 32 teams will compete in two rounds of home and away knock-out ties, before entering a play-off round which will include the second-placed teams from the group stage.

Derby given Dortmund way too much respect so far, just sitting off them and trying to park bus. Dortmund can't defend at all, they struggle much more when teams press them. Isn't much between the two on paper at all, poor tactics so far, fortunate to not be a couple down.
